Lithgow High hosts the Youth,Education and Services fundraiser

GETTING THE LOW DOWN ON OUR PCYC: Lithgow High students Elizabeth Murray,Cameron Struck, principal Ann Caro and student Kaitlyn James were keen to gain first handknowledge from police and PCYC staff.

STUDENTS at Lithgow High School recently welcomed some visitors to theschool’s campus.

Police officers, PCYC personnel and members of the Rapid Relief Team allvisited the campus as part of an attempt to spread the word on one of Lithgow’sbest youth assets.

Lithgow High School hosted the Youth, Education and Services fundraiserdesigned to promote the engaging programs offered at the Lithgow PCYC.

Police officers and members from the PCYC completed a range of informationsessions and practical activities.

Students learned about the PCYC facilities, excursions, and activities.

They were also given an interesting talk by police officers from a variety ofdepartments, including the highway patrol.

Students sat in the police cars, held radar guns, and even donned a bulletproofvest or two.

After all the workshops, it was time to finish the day with a delicious barbecueorganised by the Rapid Relief Team (RRT).

A big thank you to all involved in putting together such an informative and hands­on day.
