CLINICAL SERVICES BUILDING
Blacktown Hospital main entry changing soon Our main entry is closing soon to allow for construction work on the acute
services building. Stage 2 includes a new entry, atrium and extension of
Hospital Street, but it means we need to create a temporary hospital entry
and emergency entry for the duration of the work.
In the first stage, entry to the building will move to the existing side door
near Gloria Jeans. It’s easy to find - just follow the signs.
If you need staff drop-off, we recommend you use the cancer centre entry at
the other end of Hospital Street. All deliveries via loading dock.
Thanks for your patience and co-operation while we build your new
hospital.

SAY MONKEYS!: It was all smiles at
the Mount Druitt Hospital child care
centre this week when Jara from Corp
Comms snapped Owen, Gian and Daniel
for The Pulse. The kids had created
colourful fence designs to brighten up
their playgound during the construction
of the dialysis centre next door. Thanks
to Amy, the kids and the team, from
child care! Read more in The Pulse.

PRE-APPROVED POINT OF CARE: The new Pre-Admission Clinic at Mount Druitt
is nearing completion. Located on level 1, it’s bright, spacious and
welcoming. Opening in June.
We also took delivery of the new MRI machine at Mount Druitt
this week. Thanks to Patrick from Imaging for the pics, and to the
Fugen team who gently guided the eight-tonne machine into its
purpose-built new space. Just for the record, it weighs about as
much as two small elephants. We now start the process of
installation and commissioning, with the unit due for completion
later this year.

DON’T WORRY, BEE HAPPY:
Congratulations to our B2Hub
team who celebrated their first
day in the new unit with a ribbon
cutting, and cake (of course).
It’s been a major transition to
activity-based working. We are so
proud of their enthusuiasm and
commitment.
We know you will “bee happy” in
your new unit!
Congratulations also to our BMDH
Project team. One hub down, ASB
to go!
B2HUB IS UP AND RUNNING
WE THE PEOPLE: The People Matter survey is now live
at http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/survey2017 or you can
complete a paper copy and drop it in the box. Check the
intranet for details. Thanks to Larna who’s flying the flag in
the B2Hub.
PEOPLE MATTERS HEART OF GLASS
UNDER THE RAINBOW: We know our coloured glass
panels are at the heart of our iconic architecture at
Blacktown, but sometimes even we’re surprised by just
how lovely it is when were drenched in rainbows.
