ON THE COVERLori Nelson (pictured with her granddaughters) fought ovarian cancer using natural alternatives to surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. Read her story, p. 6

Shared by Edna and Hilton Smith

It has been our privilege to be part of the AIM family since November 1987. Hilton and I are so grateful that God’s plan for our life included AIM. Although we initially said, “No thank you” to AIM’s green juice, He got our attention when a family member had great results taking it during radiation treatments. It was one of the best decisions we ever made.

AIM Partnership took us beyond our wildest dreams. When our farming partnership dissolved, our AIM business was ready to sustain us three years after joining. Our financial success that allows us to live on our farm and bless others is simply an indication of the thousands of lives touched because we said, “AIM? … YES!!!”

Our deepest friendships and precious prayer partners have all come from our AIM family. We have laughed together, cried together, prayed together and shared meals together as we learned and encouraged each other. It’s always exciting to witness “AIM Miracles!” There is nothing more gratifying than making a positive impact in someone’s life.

AIM’s theme song says it all. “In Partnership for Life, our hands we join together, taking hope across the land. In Partnership for Life, we’re strengthened by each other and together—we will stand!” Everyone needs the hope we have to share. Together we are making a difference.

Life is good!

Life is better with BarleyLife!!

By now, every AIM Member is aware of the athletic benefits of beet juice. We all know that Red Rush provides a boost of much-needed stamina to competitive athletes and helps them recover quickly from their grueling workouts. However, the athletic benefits are just the beginning.

Did you know that there have been over sixteen studies that have shown that beet juice can lower blood pressure? The most recent one found that the blood pressure benefits of daily beet juice consumption lasted for two weeks after the subjects stopped drinking the juice.

Our veins can become damaged by a sedentary lifestyle, the aging process and by poor dietary choices. This damage disrupts the body’s ability to create nitric oxide. In fact, the inability to produce sufficient amounts of nitric oxide is the main feature of endothelial dysfunction. Red Rush provides the body

with 500 mg of dietary nitrate, the building blocks of nitric oxide. To put that amount in perspective, the average American gets 60-120 mg of dietary nitrate a day. Someone on the Dietary Approach to Stop Hypertension Diet consumes 500-660 mg. One tiny shot of Red Rush provides you with your daily dose of therapeutic dietary nitrate. Red Rush may also provide these other benefits:

Lowers Blood PressureIn a recent study, participants who drank

beet juice saw an 8/4 mmHg reduction in blood pressure, a 20 percent improvement in blood vessel dilation and a 10 percent reduction in arterial stiffness.

Improves Cognitive FunctioningImproved cranial blood flow has been

linked to enhanced cognitive functioning and quicker reaction times. Drinking beet juice to improve blood flow to the brain is also being researched as a way to mitigate the symptoms of dementia and Alzheimer’s

Assists with Basic MobilityOne study found that beet juice con-

sumption made walking twelve percent easier, and recently, scientists at Kansas State University have been giving beet juice to heart failure patients in order to help get them mobile again, a critical factor of their recoveries.

SleepNitric oxide facilitates sleep, and due to

improved blood flow, it may assist the brain in achieving essential rapid eye movement (REM) sleep.

As a triathlete you need sustaining power. The ATP cycle drives your muscles and provides

that power. Nitric oxide is very important for an efficient ATP cycle which generates the energy to drive muscles. If you are ac-tive, you will need nitric oxide. It increases your short and long term abilities by allow-ing your ATP cycle to function more effi-ciently. When exercising, you will quickly use up your nitric oxide. The best “quick fix” for getting nitric oxide that I have found comes from Red Rush. The best news is that you will be less stiff and sore the day after.

Warmer, Healthier SkinHealthy circulation improves skin quality

and keeps the extremities nice and warm.

Nutrient DeliveryWhen the circulatory system is working

well, the body can repair itself faster by moving white blood cells, nutrients, medicine and platelets to the affected areas.

Sexual HealthNearly 90 percent of erectile dysfunc tion

can be linked to poor circulation, and there is some evidence that a percentage of female sexual dysfunction is related to improper blood flow.

Jet LagWhen the cabin pressure lowers, so does

the oxygen in your blood. Beet juice has been shown to improve oxygen utilization, allowing people to get more use out of less oxygen.

for the Ages

Gene BlasingameCNHP, AIM Royal Emerald Director

My wife and I began with The AIM Compa-nies in 1996. We also started jogging and working out. While our health improved, the

one thing that did not was our arteries. Through testing, I found that I had the ar-teries of someone ten years older, my wife twenty years older. When we tried AIM’s Red Rush, we could feel the benefits im-mediately. Now, the biological ages of our arteries are more than twenty years younger than our actual ages. Also, I add-ed 15 pounds of weight to my workout routine because the level that I had been at for years has become too easy. I do not worry about the cost of Red Rush because of the financial opportunities that we have through The AIM Companies.

Weight LossNitric oxide may help improve metabolic

rates, and a surprising study found that dietary nitrate could help change white fat into the easier-to-burn brown fat.

EnergyHaving sufficient amounts of nitric oxide

can really energize the body. Additionally, one of the biggest symptoms of poor circulation is fatigue. Red Rush can provide natural energy.

Sil Huron AIM Star Sapphire Director

I experienced excruciat-ing right shoulder pain that doctors diagnosed as a torn rotator cuff. Surgery was not an op-tion for me. So when Red Rush was added to

the AIM product line, I added two bottles to my daily regimen. I am happy to say that this product along with exercise has alleviated all of my pain plus increased my energy levels, making my job as an auto-mechanic technician a lot easier, especially during the hot Texas summer months with temperatures reaching over 110 degrees. I have had this pain for the past 7 years and I noticed that the pain disappeared about 3 months ago. It is so good to be pain free.

Lori Nelson was in tears when she telephoned AIM Director Liana Kopalyan in October 2011. Having just left her doctor’s office, Lori had been told that she had three tumors diagnosed as ovarian cancer. Surgery, chemotherapy and radiation were recommended, but Lori had also talked to her physician about first trying natural alternatives before going the harsh medical route.

The undeniable fear in Lori’s voice was something that Liana knew personally. Eighteen years ago, Liana had surgery to remove a small cyst from her breast, but it grew back in less than a year. After Mary-Ann Shearer (AIM Chairman’s Club Director) introduced Liana to lifestyle changes that included taking AIM BarleyLife®, the cyst disappeared completely. Liana used the experience to change her career trajectory, going on to help so many people

through the use of AIM products in her Natural Living program.

“I’m a preschool teacher, and I first got to know about Liana and her work when I taught her son Samuel,” Lori said, “He would say things such as, ‘Miss Lori, did you eat healthy food before having your cake’ or “I’m not feeling well. Please call my mom for some BarleyLife’. I eventually began going to Liana’s Natural Living classes, so she was the first person I called when I found out I had cancer.”

Along with being committed to a raw food diet, Lori started taking the AIM Garden Trio® and AIMega®. “I took one heaping teaspoon of AIM BarleyLife three times a day,” Lori stated. Three

The Natural Fight Against CancerIn North America with cancer at the forefront of health awareness during the month of April, no one is more mindful of the devastating implications of a cancer diagnosis than those who have lived through such a life-threatening experience. The following two stories demonstrate the convictions of two individuals who were determined to beat cancer with the help of AIM natural nutrition.

months later, at Liana’s insistence, Lori went back to her doctor for testing only

to discover that one of the tumors was gone. Her doctor had never seen anything like this during his entire career. By April 2012, only six months after her cancer diagnosis, the other two tumors had disappeared and Lori was pronounced cancer-free.

That was the day Liana received another tearful telephone call from Lori, but this time she cried tears of joy.

AIM Director Fred Hampshire has been an avid user and promoter of AIM products since 1997, allowing him to improve his health and maintain wellness.

In August 2013, he noticed a small lump on the left side of his neck. “After several blood tests and a biopsy, I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma,” Fred stated. “As surgery was not possible due to the location of the tumor, twenty-one radiation treatments and then possibly chemotherapy were recommended.” He decided to go with the radiation.

The Natural Fight Against CancerCANCER AWARENESS

In spite of the doctors’ advice not to use any vitamins or antioxidants, Fred continued taking BarleyLife under his tongue several times each day and the Garden Trio three times a day along with several other AIM products.

As a result, he sailed through the treatments with lots of energy and no tooth, gum or throat sores or other common problems. Fred explained, “I’m sure that taking BarleyLife dry and holding it in my mouth four to five times a day played a huge roll in this.”

One of his doctors had been given a grant for $825,000 to study radiation and chemotherapy treatments with and without supplements, so he was very

interested in his supplemental nutrition. “It is no wonder that he wanted to know what I

had been doing,” Fred determined, “because my blood tests were always excellent even during radiation treatments.”

In August of 2014, he was declared cancer-free. “I praised God once more for AIM products and that no chemo was necessary,” Fred exclaimed, adding, “I attribute the success of this journey to the prayers of my friends and AIM family; the great food preparation by my wife, Marlene; the ability to exercise rigorously for one and a half hours for three times a week; the encouragement, wisdom and prayers from our upline, Edna Smith (Chairman’s Club Director); and being able to use AIM’s concentrated whole-food supplements.”

“At almost seventy-eight years of age, I can’t feel any better than this,” Fred admitted. “This is why I am still beating the drum for BarleyLife.”

Gluten is a sticky issue these days for many people, especially for those who react poorly to its presence in foods they consume. From the Latin word meaning glue, gluten is a protein composite found in several grains including wheat, rye, and barley. Because barley plants mature into grain, AIM receives regular queries about gluten and BarleyLife®.

When you think of gluten, you really have to think of those mature grains of barley not the vegetable-like blades of grass. The young barley plants that provide BarleyLife nutrition are harvested before reaching the first joint that begins the long, transitional phase of growth into grain. However, the embryonic grain in a barley seed can account for a minute amount of gluten in the harvested grass. This is why AIM has been randomly testing BarleyLife for the presence of gluten since 2002.

With the explosion of gluten-free foods in the marketplace and the growing gluten awareness of even those without sensitivities, The AIM Companies™ wants people to know that in 2014, nearly 90

percent of BarleyLife contained less than 20 parts per million (ppm) of gluten, which is the standard for a food to be labeled “Gluten-Free.” The remaining 10 percent of powder produced tested between 21 and 28 ppm.

People with celiac disease or gluten intolerance should avoid eating foods that contain greater than 20 ppm of gluten. To produce a test result of 20 ppm, a typical 100-gram serving of a food would still contain 2,000 mcg of gluten. A 4-gram serving of BarleyLife with 28 ppm has only 112 mcg of gluten. That’s 42,000 times less than the 4,800,000 mcg of gluten in one slice of whole wheat bread!

This is why the majority of people with celiac disease and gluten intolerance have been able to enjoy the many health benefits of BarleyLife without having any issues. At the same time, those with gluten sensitivities should begin

with a quarter serving or less of BarleyLife to test their body’s acceptance of the juice powder of young barley grass.

Ralph Peterson of Portland, North Dakota retired from his job as a school bus driver after twenty-two years. He still owns and operates Ralph’s Sharp Shop, an outdoor power equipment sales and service business and raises delicious organic sweet corn, the kind that melts right off the cob. He spends free moments with his ten grandchildren and other members of his family. If Ralph’s life didn’t sound idyllic enough, he recently promoted to Blue Diamond Director.

His journey started painfully in 1989. Ralph had trouble walking due to the arthritis in his knees. In fact, doctors had told him that he would probably have to have them replaced one day. A friend and future sponsor, AIM Director Wendell Berg noticed this and gave Ralph an entire jar of barley grass with the caveat that Ralph would use all of it. Two weeks, later his knees stopped hurting. Twenty-five years later, Ralph still uses the same knees that he was born with.

When he’s working on his AIM business, Ralph is making and receiving phone calls or preparing and sending out information packets, datasheets, books and literature. He places the Healthy Cell Concept brochure and two books—Cleansing the Body and Colon for a Happier and Healthier You: Using Herbal Fiberblend by Teresa Schumacher and Toni Lund and the Nutrition that Works testimony book by Charlotte Thompson—in every packet he sends out.

“The cost of materials is nothing com-pared to the people’s lives that you are investing in. When I have the privilege of sharing AIM products with somebody, it is the highlight of my day. Helping them improve the

quality of their lives spiritually, mentally and physically and then seeing them come alive again, what more could you want?”

He tells new Members to study and learn what each product does, to get in contact with their upline or someone who will help them and to attend meetings, events, teleclasses and webinars. He also recommends that people attend

AIM Conferences.

Ralph says he has been blessed to attend the annual Conference nearly every year since joining AIM. He sat next to Chairman’s Club Director Ken Huxter. Hearing Ken’s story motivated Ralph.

“Everyone should attend all of the AIM Conferences and meet people and hear their stories. I think it’s one of the most important things anyone can do. You can study and learn but sitting next to other successful AIM Members and hearing how the AIM products have changed their lives really motivates you.”

—Giving Thanks—

“I thank God for His constant goodness to me and for providing The AIM Companies™ as a continual source of His blessing in my life. My wife, Phyllis, was a great support to me. I would not be where I am today without all her hard work. She is missed much. Thank you to my children and their families for their love and support. I’d like to thank my downline and the AIM owners and staff.

There are fewer than ten people in this world who have accomplished the Fuego y Agua Devil’s Double Challenge, the completion of two races, a 100 kilometer (62.1 miles) ultra-run and an 85 kilometer (52.8 miles) survival race up and down the sides of two volcanoes with only thirty hours of rest between the events. This February in Nicaragua, Red Rush Athlete Mark Wheeler became one of those people. To race in the Fuego y Agua Survival Run, you can’t just show up. You have to apply or be invited. Some of the top obstacle course racers and ultra-runners in the world were invited to try this thing. Out of forty-three battle-tested athletes Mark finished third. Only three crossed the finish line. At fifty, Mark is the oldest person in history to do so. He used Red Rush the entire time.

“I brought Red Rush on the survival run. The day before the race, I was priming with it. I took one fifteen minutes before the race. I just feel like I get an even sort of energy output from it, but the thing I really notice is that I don’t have cramping issues like I used to. In the 100k, I did the same thing. I took one right before the start, and from there, I’d take them at the aid station about every four hours. I used it regularly because I feel it makes a difference.”

He runs 65-70 miles a week in addition to regular fitness training at Snake River CrossFit, but he says there is no way to prepare for something like the Fuego y Agua. “It’s just a mental thing. I’m just not going to quit. It’s a place that you go in your head months and months ahead of time. If you make that decision on the spot, you’re likely to have less fortitude.”

The Fuego y Agua Survival Run differs from an obstacle course because it demands that the

10 theaimcompanies.com I 1-800-456-2462

runners adapt to the environment, culture and location. All of the challenges are based on activities that the islanders do like harvesting and carrying bamboo. At one point during the race, Mark hauled a gunny sack filled with five gallons of sand and gravel up the side

of a mountain. The contents of the sack were emptied out and were used to make concrete for a sustainable farm.

Based on a Polynesian rite of passage, the first challenge the Survival Run racers were tasked with was the retrieval of an egg from a small, unnamed island. Before a racer could attempt any

of the latter challenges, they had to present the unbroken egg to the judges. If their egg broke, they had to find another one. Mark only broke his egg once while buying supplies from a boy manning a food stand. The boy sold Mark a new egg—in accordance with the rules all racers carried 500 cordobas and could barter with locals for food, water

and eggs—and Mark was able to continue the race.

Other challenges included building a raft, har vesting plantains, carrying or rolling boulders away from arable soil, assembling a slingshot, diving for slingshot components and a blistering jaunt up the barren and steep slope of an active volcano. During the cold, nighttime swim across the caldera in the mouth of a dormant volcano, Mark became so chilly that he began to shiver uncontrollably, and he feared that he might be hypothermic. One racer saw Mark’s poor condition and quit right then and there. Undaunted, Mark wrapped himself in a blanket and allowed the tropical air to warm him up. He completed his quest, an unbroken egg in his pocket. Testimonials should not be construed as representing results everyone can achieve.

In the warmer areas of North America, people may already be sneezing their way through allergy season. For the rest of seasonal sufferers, allergy time is just around the corner. AIM offers a selection of natural products that can be taken weeks before and during allergy season to prevent incapacitating symptoms such as fatigue, nasal congestion and itchy, watery eyes.

Allergy Season Springs

AIM Proancynol® 2000Mucus build-up is an allergy symptom that

makes it difficult to breathe easily. Antioxidants such as the N-acetylcysteine in Proancynol 2000 can help by attacking mucus and making it more fluid to clear inflamed airways.

AIMega®

One of the many functions of omega-3 essential fatty acids is to reduce the inflammation related to seasonal allergens. AIMega provides an anti-inflammatory, organic seed oil source of omega-3.

AIM LeafGreens™

Quercetin is a flavonoid that inhibits the production and release of one of the key chemical substances that triggers allergy symptoms: histamine. LeafGreens provides quercetin-rich faba bean, field pea, and spinach leaves to help relieve allergies. The combination of greens that also includes barley grass and broccoli sprout powders is a natural anti-inflammatory that can ease the inflammation associated with seasonal allergies.

AIM Mag-nificence™

Magnesium is both a natural anti-histamine and anti-inflammatory, so increasing levels of this trace mineral with topical applications of Mag-nificence crystals, lotion or spray can help to inhibit the release of histamine and relieve inflamed airways.

AIM Frame Essentials®

Regulating mucus secretion is one of the many benefits of the glucosamine in Frame Essentials. The histamine-inhibiting potential of methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) and the anti-inflammatory properties of boswellia combined with glucosamine make the Frame Essentials formulation a comforting friend to those with seasonal allergies.
