Altar Server Training
We will be starting a new round of altar server training classes. Youth and adults, from 3rd grade and up who have received their sacraments and want to
begin learning how to serve at the altar, are welcome to come. The first training class will be on Wednesday January 19th at 6 pm in the main church.

Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of the Unborn: Jan. 22/Día de Oración por la Protección Legal del No Nacido: 22 de Enero
The General Instruction of the Roman Missal (GIRM), no. 373, designates January 22 as a particular day of prayer and penance, called the "Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children”: “In all the Dioceses of the United States of America, January 22 (or January 23, when January 22 falls on a Sunday) shall be observed as a particular day of prayer for the full restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to
life and of penance for violations to the dignity of the human person committed through acts of abortion.” As individuals, we are called to observe this day through the penitential practices of prayer, fasting and/or giving alms. Another way to take part is through participating in special events to observe the anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Bishop Strickland will celebrate a Mass on Saturday, Jan. 22 at 12 p.m. at the

“Into The Breach”
All men are invited and encouraged to join your Christian brothers in the “Into the Breach” program which will be conducted Wednesday, January 19, in the St Patrick’s Parish Office beginning at 6:30 PM. The topic will be Christ-like fatherhood. Fatherhood is actively being the
protector, provider and the priest of his domestic church, for his family. Christ-like fatherhood is a choice. As the priests of the home, men are to offer their lives as a sacrifice for their children, lead family prayers, establish faith-based household rituals and customs, give blessings, and help
their kids to love the Mass. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass should lead fathers to a personal relationship with God, uniting him so closely to Christ that the Eucharist becomes the very soul and center of his spiritual and family life. “The father who participates in the Mass regularly gives to his children a far more convincing statement as to the importance of the Mass than all his words do. "If a father wishes his children to become saints, then he must be a better one. The Church offers the means that makes this fatherhood possible: grace. Though invisible and often overlooked,
