containing 5,000 sovereigns, Sydney mint coinage, was stolen frolli the strong room of the s.s. "Oceana," between Melbourne and Sydney. Special inquiries are requested for GEORGE ARMSTRONG, who absconded from the" Oceana" at 4 a.m. on Satur­day, 23rd ult., and may have committed the robbery. Description :-Ship's steward, 25 to 30 years of age, 5ft. 9 or lOin. high, dark complexion, dark moustache only, military gait, wore blue serge or dark suit, grey tweed cap, a Londoner, and at one time served in the Indian Army.
