From a rich history of film studios, Bhangra, the blues and the BBC, Ealing and Hounslow have influenced the world. Leisure This gallery focuses on the health, worship and education of the local residents. Discover life before the NHS, Victorian curriculums and the largest Gurdwara outside India. Toys and Games These original kitchens are a beautiful example of what was required to provide for a large country house. Historic Kitchens In this room, we celebrate the people of Ealing and Hounslow. From our early ancestors to present day locals, we look at objects that represent them and their achievements. The local boroughs have supported a huge range of trade and industry. In this gallery we explore we explore Ealing and Hounslow at work, ranging from agriculture and waterways to Indian ready meals and swords. Thanks to the passion of the Museum’s first curator, we have a large collection of costume and textiles. Get dressed up and have a look at some of our most spectacular pieces! Fashion Our beautifully situated mezzanine rooms are home to lots of our exciting events. From fabric workshops to poetry readings, there is something for everyone. With 187 acres or parkland and a free local history museum, we hope that this Visitor Map will help you get the most out of your time at Gunnersbury. From our newly built, fully equipped Sports Hub and tennis courts to our peaceful Community Garden, there are lots of gems that you won’t want to miss!
