The Great Sacandaga Lake

The Great Sacandaga Lake is one of the area’s “best kept secrets.” Created in the 1920’s to SURYLGH�ÀRRG�FRQWURO�DQG�K\GUR�SRZHU��LW�LV�1HZ�<RUN¶V�ODUJHVW�PDQ�PDGH�ODNH�²�EHLQJ����PLOHV�long with 125 miles of shoreline.

To create this reservoir, which was approved for construction in 1924, the Conklingville Dam was built at the northern end of the lake in the town of Hadley, capable of holding back some 283 billion gallons of water. More than 1100 parcels of land totaling 27,000 acres were pur-chased by the state of New York. Buildings and land in several towns were cleared by 1927; and what was not moved to higher ground was razed and burned by 1929. In the process, over 3800 graves from 24 cemeteries were exhumed and re-interred in 6 new cemeteries. With the GDP�JDWHV�FORVHG�LQ�������LW�WRRN�D�\HDU�IRU�WKH�UHVHUYRLU�WR�EH�¿OOHG�E\�WKH�6DFDQGDJD�5LYHU��%\�the way, the name, Sacandaga, is an Indian term to mean, “drowned land.”

While once called “The Sleeping Giant,” the lake has become a popular, yet, relaxing vacation spot offering a safe environment for family fun. Hadley is a town in Saratoga County, New York. It is located in the northern part of the county and is west of Glens Falls. The town has a total area of 41.1 square miles, of which, 39.8 square miles of it is land, and 1.3 square miles are water.

CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT

If the Property is not sold to Recipient’s Interested Party, Recipient shall promptly return to Owner DOO�&RQ¿GHQWLDO�,QIRUPDWLRQ�LW�UHFHLYHG�DW�2ZQHU¶V�RU�2ZQHU¶V�%URNHU¶V�UHTXHVW��,I�5HFLSLHQW�LV�DQ�,QWHUHVWHG�3DUW\�and Recipient determines that it is not interested in purchasing the Property, Recipient shall promptly return to 2ZQHU�DOO�&RQ¿GHQWLDO�,QIRUPDWLRQ�LW�UHFHLYHG�DW�2ZQHU¶V�RU�2ZQHU¶V�%URNHU¶V�UHTXHVW�� 5. Owner and Owner’s Broker make no representation or warranty about the accuracy or complete-QHVV�RI�DQ\�&RQ¿GHQWLDO�,QIRUPDWLRQ��5HFLSLHQW�UHOHDVHV�DQG�KROGV�2ZQHU�DQG�2ZQHU¶V�%URNHU�KDUPOHVV�IURP�DQG�DJDLQVW�DQ\�ORVV�RU�GDPDJH�5HFLSLHQW�PD\�VXVWDLQ�GXH�WR�LWV�UHOLDQFH�RQ�DQ\�RI�WKH�&RQ¿GHQWLDO�,QIRUPDWLRQ��,I�Recipient is an Interested Party, the provisions of this Agreement shall not be amended, merged into or otherwise PRGL¿HG�E\�DQ\�VXEVHTXHQW�DJUHHPHQW�HQWHUHG�LQWR�EHWZHHQ�5HFLSLHQW�DQG�2ZQHU�RU�DQ\�LQVWUXPHQW�H[HFXWHG�E\�2ZQHU�IRU�5HFLSLHQW¶V�EHQH¿W�XQOHVV�VXFK�DJUHHPHQW�RU�LQVWUXPHQW�H[SUHVVO\�VWDWHV�VR������ �,I�DQ\�SDUW\�EHOLHYHV�WKDW�WKH�XQDXWKRUL]HG�GLVFORVXUH�RI�DQ\�RU�DOO�RI�WKH�&RQ¿GHQWLDO�,QIRUPDWLRQ�LV�OLNHO\�to occur, Recipient shall take all reasonable measures, and shall support any reasonable measures by Owner, to SUHYHQW�VXFK�GLVFORVXUH��,I�DQ�XQDXWKRUL]HG�GLVFORVXUH�RI�DQ\�RU�DOO�RI�WKH�&RQ¿GHQWLDO�,QIRUPDWLRQ�KDV�RFFXUUHG��Recipient shall not interfere with any effort by Owner to pursue legal and equitable remedies available in result of the unauthorized disclosure. ����,W�LV�XQGHUVWRRG�DQG�DFNQRZOHGJHG�WKDW�XQDXWKRUL]HG�UHOHDVH�RI�DQ\�RU�DOO�RI�WKH�&RQ¿GHQWLDO�,QIRUPDWLRQ�ZRXOG�cause immediate and irreparable harm to Owner that could not be repaired and for which Owner could not be fully compensated by money damages. Recipient agrees that Owner may obtain injunctive relief to prevent or limit such unauthorized disclosure, and may also pursue any other remedies available under law or equity in result of an alleged or reasonably anticipated breach of this Agreement. Recipient agrees to pay any damages incurred by Owner as a result of Recipient’s breach of this Agreement, including but not limited to court costs and reasonable attorneys’ fees. 8. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, ZLWKRXW�UHJDUG�WR�SULQFLSOHV�RI�FKRLFH�RI�ODZ�RU�FRQÀLFWV�RI�ODZ��7KLV�$JUHHPHQW�VKDOO�EH�ELQGLQJ�XSRQ�5HFLSLHQW¶V�VXFFHVVRUV�DQG�DVVLJQV��DQG�VKDOO�LQXUH�WR�WKH�EHQH¿W�RI�2ZQHU¶V�VXFFHVVRUV�DQG�DVVLJQV��7KLV�$JUHHPHQW�VKDOO�WHUPLQDWH�DV�RI�WKH�GDWH�WKDW�LV�RQH�\HDU�IURP�WKH�GDWH�5HFLSLHQW�UHWXUQV�WKH�&RQ¿GHQWLDO�,QIRUPDWLRQ�WR�2ZQHU�DV�required in Section 4 of this Agreement.
