To Make The BEST BETTER
Come and find out about BIG SHOW
CHANGES! Tuesday, May 3 6:30 p.m. Come and find out about the big changes to the 4-H Show this year. We’ll be talking about the club projects and awards, STEAM chat opportunities for our members, new award opportunities for exhibits and how to make the most of the schedule. We will also talk about judging and how Piatt members will be chosen to fill our county’s State Fair Delegate slots. Please come and share your questions and concerns. We greatly value your opinions. We will have a Show Review meeting in July to evaluate the show and gather your input.
Are you ready for SHOW BOOKS?
Show Books are currently being
printed! Our goal is to have it
uploaded to the website by Monday,
March 12. We will be printing a copy
for each family. Leaders will be
contacted when show books are ready
to be picked up for their clubs.
4-H Fun Facts FACT # 5
O. H. Benson said “Move over, I am designing the 4-H Clover”
In 1907 or 1908, the first 4-H emblem used nationally was designed by O. H. Benson, a school
superintendent in Iowa, as a three-leaf clover with three “H’s” signifying head, heart and hands. In 1911,
O. H. Benson also suggested adding the word “hustle” as a fourth “H”.
We’re halfway through the 4-H Fun Facts! Do you know all of them so far?
