day consecration . For

centuries,Christians around the

world have taken similar

journeys every year during the forty days

leading up to Easter. We can all benefit

from this type of spiritual journey. These

days of preparation are called lent. This

is a time for reflection, renewal and

rebirth. When we walk the same journey

that Christ walked on his way to the

cross, we can more fully experience and

appreciate his passion,death and

glorious resurrection on Easter morning!

The number forty has many Biblical

references; the forty days Moses spent

on Mount Sinai with God, the forty days

and nights Elijah spent walking to Mount

Horeb, God made it rain for forty days

and forty nights in the days of Noah, the

Hebrew people wandered forty years

traveling to the Promised Land, and

Jonah in his prophecy of judgement gave

the city of Ninevah forty days in which to

repent. The number 40 means divine

order applied to all earthly things and

flesh.

Bring divine order to your life this year.

Fast as you feel lead of the Lord.

Through the consecration fast we will

develop a powerful relationship with

God. God wants to take us to a new

dimension in Him.

2009 Gracious Giving Capital Stewardship Campaign:‘Grace For Supernatural Giving’ by Apostle Bennett

n Matthew 6, Jesus gives us

the four (4) key foundations

of Christian Faith. They are:

1. Giving

2. Praying

3. Fasting

4. Believing

Many people miss their blessing because they fast, pray and believe, but do not give. A fundamental lesson for Christians to learn is that we cannot out give God. The Body of Christ today needs an army of people who are so committed to the King of Kings that sacrificial giving becomes a way of life. The Word of God is full of evidences that the Law of Reciprocity works. Because God gave such a tremendous price for us, I have chosen Easter Sunday, April 12 as the date for our annual Gracious Giving Sunday.

In 2 Corinthians, chapter 8, the

church at Macedonia was under a

challenge of lack and shortage.

Paul even referred to it as their deep

poverty. Yet he was astounded at the

amount they gave when they

prepared an offering to help the

church at Jerusalem. He said that

because they first gave themselves

to God, God applied the grace to

them to give supernaturally. Paul

calls it “...beyond their ability”.

We are making some changes in

our method of giving this year. We

acknowledge the economic

challenges in our nation at this time.

Yet, we will trust God to enable us to

all do our very best.

Our financial goals have been higher in the past, but I know that if we all individually do our best and give sacrificially in an effort to glorify God we will reach our goal on April 12. Remember, it’s not equal giving but equal sacrifice.
