Program Description The Master of Science in Management is a comprehensive business management program designed to provide students and working professionals with the necessary skills to successfully solve business problems and compete for leadership positions worldwide.

The program will allow students of all disciplines to understand the complex business environment and acquire valuable knowled-ge and competencies to make effective managerial decisions within any organization. Graduates of this program will learn the skills re-quired to have a strategic vision for their organizations

Program ObjectivesUpon successful completion of this program, you will be able to:

• Apply analytical planning methods to resolve various issues and pro-blems of management today.

• Apply in practice the principles of management: planning, organiza-tion, control and organizational leadership.

• Implement management analysis methods in the solution of business problems.

• Develop leadership and skills for teamwork that will allow a better per-formance in their professional field.

• Understanding the social responsibility of their profession and ethics as cornerstones of managerial behavior.

• Use techniques and skills required for efficient oral and written com-munication and teamwork.

• Interpret local and global dimensions of the business world today and its influence on business management.

PROGRAM COURSES

The Master of Science in Management can be completed in one academic year (3 semesters). Students enroll in 4 courses (12 credits) each semester. Each semester is broken down into 8 week sessions. Stu-dents complete two courses concurrently each of 8 week sessions.

To earn this degree, you must complete a total of 36 credit hours (12 courses). A minimum of 27 credit hours of the pro-gram hours must be completed at MIU.

TRANSFER CREDITS

Metropolitan International University evaluates and awards transfer credits based on the philosophy that students will not be required to repeat courses in which competencies have been mastered. You may have permission to transfer a maxi-mun of nine semester credit hours provided the following conditions:

• Courses to be transferred were taken at the graduate level from an accredited institution or foreing equivalent.

• Courses to be transferred were completed with a “B” or better.

• Courses to be transferred were completed within the last ten (10) years.

• Military experience – as determined by ACE (Ameri-can Council on Education) usually listed on an AARTS, SMART, CCAF, or CGI transcript.

• Employer courses – Provided the course has been appro-priately evaluated for college credit by the American Council on Education (ACE).

Tuition and Fees InformationThe total program tuition varies by student depending on the total credit hours required for that student to gra-duate. At least 27 credit hours of coursework are required to complete a Master’s Degree program. For a full 36 credit semester hour the total cost is US $ 6,840.00 plus other academic fees. • Completed “Online Enrollment Agreement”.• Current Resume.• Photo Identification (Copy of a Government

issued ID).• Official Transcripts from all previous attended

colleges or universities.• Copy of the Diploma if the degree does not

appear on the transcript.• The application fee of $50.00 (Nonrefundable).

International Students

• Graduate applicants who have completed university level courses outside the US must have their courses evaluated from a NACES organization. (www.naces.org).

Most courses at Metropolitan International University use a textbook as the main reference source. You should consider the price of textbooks into your budget. You should expect to spend approximately $100.00 USD per course. In addition to the textbooks, MIU has several digital resources already included in the courses to com-plement your learning experience.

Academic Admission Requirements

Admission to the Master of Science in Management at MIU requires an applicant to have:

• Four-year United States bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution.

• Undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 (“C+”) from an accredited institution or foreign equi-valent.

• Official transcripts showing proof of the bachelor’s degree must be received by the registrar’s office at the time of enrollment.
