Formed by Royal Charter in 1893, the University of Wales was regarded as one of the most important political and social developments in the nineteenth century.

1905Formation of University of Malaya (UM)

The oldest university in Malaysia, University of Malaya has its roots in Singapore with the establishment of King Edward VII College of Medicine on 28 September 1905.

Owned by two prestigious universities, International University of Malaya-Wales (IUMW) was established based on a mutual partnership between the University of Malaya (UM) & the University of Wales (UW), UK in 2013. Since then, the university has experienced tremendous growth, and remains committed to delivering education based on employability to develop students who are ready to contribute towards the next industrial revolution.

A Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a stepping stone to an advanced career that can reach great heights. With a finely detailed curriculum tailored for professional competency, students can transform into individuals who are highly sought after in the business world.

The programme comprises modules that emphasise the most important qualities every business leader needs. The modules will allow students to develop skills and knowledge in subjects such as corporate financial management, capital markets, and the principles and practices of risk management.

As the digital age continues to evolve, so too do opportunities for communications graduates. The Master of Arts (Professional Communication) programme is designed to provide students with the skills they need to embrace and manage contemporary communication issues within industry. Students will explore the art of digital information management and will be equipped with the skills and competencies to become communication experts in this challenging globalisation era.

Internet engineering blends electrical and computer engineering with computer science and information systems. As an Internet engineer, you would design, develop, and implement network and communication systems, Internet systems, and software applications. Graduates of this programme acquire the skills necessary to design, manage and maintain the networks that will build the Future Internet, placing them in a prime position at the forefront of this rapidly changing field.

Our Master of Science in Project Management integrates advanced professional knowledge with technical, practical and cross-cultural management of projects in a flexible learning environment with global exposure.

The programme is designed with industrial orientation, and will benefit those in a range of sectors and industries. Students will be able to demonstrate a body of knowledge in project management within various functional areas such as construction, engineering, aerospace, architecture, maintenance, facilities management, disaster management, agriculture, biotechnology, oil & gas, logistics, factory automation, information systems, information & communication technology, digital technology, education, research & development, management and operations.
