Nineteenth Sunday

in Ordinary Time

Jesus is always

there for us.

Sometimes, in the midst of life’s storms, we

might feel that Jesus has abandoned us. But Je-

sus walks with us every step along the way.

During stormy times, it’s important to turn to

Jesus because He will give us the grace, guid-

ance and strength we need to endure and make

our way out of every storm.

Maternity B.V.M. Students Excel

Our Parish recently received notification

of the performance of our high school students

on their End-of-Year Report. We are most proud

of the following student-parishioners who have

demonstrated academic excellence.

Roman Catholic High School

Junior, Declan J. McCloskey, ranked number 1

in his class.

First Honors: Juniors — Marco F. Fernandes,

Declan J. McCloskey, Alexander G. Torres.

Second Honors: Juniors — Gregory F. Rossi,

Joseph A. Tarducci.

The Gently-Used Uniform Shop is open Tues-

day through Thursday, from 9 AM to 1 PM.

This is not a swap; you may take whatever is

needed. Please check in at the School Office.

Protecting God’s Children for Adults

Awareness Sessions

All clergy, staff and volunteers who have regu-

lar contact with children (at least one time per

week) must attend a Safe Environment Pro-

gram. Sessions are approximately 2-1/2 hours in

length.

Upcoming sessions in our area include:

Archdiocesan Pastoral Center:

August 14 at 6 PM;

St. Matthew Church: August 29 at 7 PM.

All attendees must register. Those with internet

access should register on the Virtus Web site:

www.VIRTUS.org. All others can call the Office

for Child and Youth Protection at 215-587-

2466.

The Paper Recycling Bins Are Gone!

The recycling program has been discon-

tinued. The refuse was an insult for our

Parish and near-by neighbors, and the

contractors provided no promised remu-

neration for two plus years. Please do

not leave newspapers or any materials

on our campus. Thank you.

Craft Show Vendors Wanted

St. Katherine of Siena Parish on Frankford Avenue has

a few spots available for their fall Craft Show on Satur-

day, September 30. If you are a Crafter or Artisan of

handcrafted products and would like more information

or application, please call Colleen Sharp at 215-817-

9497.
