Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe
Jesus is the King
of the Universe and
Lord of all Creation.
Today’s Solemnity of Christ the King lauds Je-sus as the King of the Universe and Lord of all Creation. Through His Death on the Cross, ris-ing from the dead and Ascension into Heaven, He won our salvation and opened the way to Eternal Life. So in gratitude for all that Jesus has done for us, may we give of ourselves more fully in love and service to others.

Remembering All Our Faithful Departed
Special Masses are set for all our be-loved deceased throughout the month of
November. All envelopes with the names of our de-ceased remain on our Altars throughout November.
Retirement Fund for Religious Collection
Archbishop Chaput has asked us to be generous in next week’s second collection. The Retirement Fund for Re-ligious Collection offers us an opportunity to show ap-preciation for their heroic dedication and to offer assis-tance for their needs. As our Religious age and as many Communities no longer have adequate resources, this collection is especially necessary. Having received so much from all their labors, we must never forget them.
Good Stewardship Makes a Difference! Thanks for your financial support for your Parish Family. You can contribute on line at www.maternitybvmchurch.net.
We all know everything’s costly today and bills are high; your sacrifices make our Parish work well! And most important, so does your Faith! Keep living that Faith at Holy Mass each Sunday and prayerfully and thoughtfully every day, one day at a time with Jesus!
Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, this week’s Parish Bulletin went to press early. There-fore, no collection figures for the weekend of November 18/19 were available, and they will appear in next week’s Bulletin.

AAdvent Mercy Project: Prepare Christmas Meals
for Aid for Friends
Our goal is to provide OVER 1,000 MEALS!
When: Friday, December 1, 5 to 8 PM in the Parish Hall;
Saturday, December 2, 8 AM in the Parish Hall
How You Can Help:
Peel and cook potatoes at home. Pick up a bag of potatoes in Rectory Meeting Room 1 when you come to Mass this weekend, November 25/26. Return the cooked mashed potatoes to the Parish Hall on Friday evening between 5 and 7:30 PM.
Many turkeys are needed! Cook a turkey and donate it to the project. Cooked turkeys can be brought to the Parish Hall on Thursday or Fri-day evening, between 5 and 7:30 PM. Call Dea-con Lindsay at 267-266-2201 or Lisa Vivino at 215-470-4481 to inform them.
Donate money towards the purchase of food needed to make the meals. Monetary donations may be put in the collection or dropped off at the Rectory in an envelope marked “Project Mercy.”
Many hands are needed at the Parish Hall to help prepare and package the meals. This can be a great family project: there’s a job for all! Help is needed on Friday evening and Saturday morning, and more help is needed on Saturday morning.
GIFT-GIVING TREE Please Return Unwrapped
Gifts Next Weekend!
As a reminder, the
procedures are as follows:
Take a tag/tags from the tree. Purchase only what is indicated on the tags. The tags will pro-vide all the necessary details, including the age and gender of the child, the type of gift and any specific sizes that are desired. Some tags may request a gift card, which may be purchased through Maternity B.V.M.’s SCRIP Program.
Please do not take a tag if you cannot pur-chase the gift and return it by the specified date. Gift tags are designated to a particular child for a particular gift. It would be very disturbing if one child in a family receives fewer gifts than other siblings.
Attach the tags securely to the gifts. In case of monetary gifts or gift cards, the gift should be placed in an envelope with the tag attached to the outside of the envelope.
Return all donations of gifts, gift cards or money unwrapped on Saturday, December 2, or Sunday, December 3. Please make note of these dates, because the distribution of the gifts will take place that week.
Gifts may be placed by the St. Joseph’s Altar in the Upper Church or in Rectory Meeting Rm. 2.
The process is simple and the sense of satisfaction, enormous. We are most grateful for your past gen-erosity and support for this worthwhile program. For any questions, call Linda Freeman of our St. Vincent de Paul Society at 215-676-6051. Thanks!
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY:
HELPING THE NEEDY OF OUR PARISH
