MATLAB LICENSE activation for existing standalone licences

Step 1: Go to Mathworks Site login page by clicking the below link and click on the “login” button is available on the top right hand side. https://in.mathworks.com/login

Step 2:

Login Using your registered Email ID and password.(if you don’t remember your password, kindly click on Forgot password? Option to set new password)

Step 3: After typing your Email ID and Password. Kindly click “login” button.

Step 4:

If you are student user, kindly click the “student” button.

Other than student user, kindly click the “campus” button.

Both Options will give access to the same unlimited toolboxes of matlab software. These options are for accounting purposes only.

Step 5: Click on Install and Activate tab in mathworks site.

Step 6: Click on Update License File tab in mathworks site under “RELATED TASKS”

Step 7: Click on the “download button symbol” available under “Get License File”.

Step 8: Choose on the matlab version that you have installed in your system using “Release” dropdown list.

Step 9: If you choose the version of matlab software and after that click to “continue” button.

Step 10: Kindly choose if you installed a software or not in your system. Please click “yes” or “no”

Step 11: Kindly download the license file, just click “Download License File” button.

Step 12:

Save the license file in your local machine.

Step 13: Replace the license file where the matlab software installed your system

Windows: Default path:

C:\Program Files\MATLAB\201xx\licenses

Linux:

usr/local/MATLAB/201xx/licenses

Mac: Applications-->/MATLAB/licenses
