A word from the Principal …
It was great to see the parent community come out for our
book week parade! There was lots of colour and creativity
in the costumes we saw! Well done to everyone involved.
Planning for 2020
Believe it or not we are already starting to plan for classes in 2020.
This includes counting the students who we think are returning the
following year. However, If you know for some reason your child/
children will not be returning in 2020 (eg. moving interstate, trans-
fer to different school) please inform the front office in writing
(email/letter). This will then inform our planning as we will have
accurate numbers to work from. Thanks for your co-operation with
this important matter.
Overdue School Fees
Monies from school fees help generate revenue to fund many of the
educational programmes we run in the school and also help us to
purchase items such as modern school furniture, nature play options,
stationery and ICT/ technology initiatives such as new lap tops for
our students, robotics and 3-D printers. Final payment reminders for
school fees have gone out to those who have still not paid them. If
you have not yet paid your 2019 school fees, please make contact
with the cash office ASAP, to finalise payment. Please note that any
outstanding school fees may be referred to the Department’s debt
collection services, as per our school fees/ debt collection policy.
Upcoming events
We look forward to seeing you all at our upcoming Sports Day and
also at our Grandparents/special visitors/Cultural day. More infor-
mation about these days are inside the newsletter.

As part of the development of our Japa-nese curriculum and cultural understanding, we would like to conduct another Study Tour to Japan in 2020. The purpose of the visit is to..
Enrich the lifelong learning experiences for our students
Continue to build upon our students lan-guage learning
Further develop the cultural and educa-tional links between our school and Japanese schools
Develop global perspectives for our students
We will be inviting the current (2019) Year 5 and 6 students to apply for this unique opportunity. More information with an ex-pression of interest and Parent Infor-mation Night will occur in Term 4. Please start to have a chat with your child/ren as to their interest in taking part. We ask that an adult/parent attend the Study Tour with their child/ren.
