Baby Bottle Drive

This year’s Baby Bottle Boomerang will be coming up in May! Be on

the lookout for baby bottles in the back of the church next week that you can fill with your loose change to help our Washtenaw County families. Old St. Pat’s can make a difference for local families in need!

New Altar Server Training

All interested boys ages nine and nine months or older who are inter-ested in altar serving

are invited to a training for new servers on Sunday June 2 after the 8am Mass. Please contact Jennifer Holody at ospaltarservers @gmail.com if your son is interest-ed.

Vacation Bible School Our famous Vacation Bible School program will take place once again this summer the week of August 5-9.

for the last 6 years. He and his wife

for our Fish Fry’s and he also helps out

at our Pancake Breakfasts. Thank you

Family of the Month

Our Family of the

Month for May is

the Perrydore

Family. Gary and

Mary serve the

parish as sacris-

tans, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy

Communion and Gary also serves as

an instituted lector and acolyte. They

assist couples as they prepare for the

sacrament of marriage and coordinate

training and scheduling of Extraordi-

nary Ministers of Holy Communion and

lectors. Mary is a member of the

worship committee while Gary serves

on the parish council. Tim is involved

with the OSP Youth Group and Nick is

an altar server. Maggie participates

with American Heritage Girls. Gary

recently assisted with the Men's

Lenten Rise Challenge. Kristen and

Rachel are involved with missionary

work in coordination with the Fellow-

ship of Catholic University Students

(FOCUS). Gary will be ordained a dea-

con to serve Old St. Patrick on May

18th. May Our Lord Bless You Gary,

Mary, Tim, Nick, Maggie, Kristen, and

Rachel for your excellent service to Old

St. Patrick’s Church.

Rachel’s Vineyard Healing the Pain of Abortion, Ann Arbor area retreat date: July 12-14. This

weekend is a designed to help you experience the mercy and compassion of God. Did you know Mario Hilton? He was a beloved member of the local community who served as a sacristan at several local Catholic Churches and eventually at the Domino’s Farms Chapel. Motorcycle Blessing and Ride for Veterans

On the morning of Saturday, June 1st, Old St. Patrick's will host a Blessing of the Bikes and the start of a charity Motorcycle Ride to benefit Warriors and Caregivers United: a new non-profit started by a local veteran to help combat warriors reclaim a healthy life. Event starts at 9:30am in

OSP parking lot and is open to all bikers and passengers willing to donate a minimum $10 per person. We are looking for volunteers to help with coffee and refreshments that morning. Parishion-ers are welcome to join the ride or volunteer to help with hosting the event. Donations can also be made online at wacu.org. Divine Mercy Celebration

Diaconal Ordination Mr. Gary Perrydore will be ordained to the Permanent Diaconate on May 18th for service to the parish of Old St Patrick and the Dio-cese of Lansing. He will serve as deacon and preach his first Mass

on Sunday, May 19th at 10:30am with a reception to follow. Sandwiches, beverages and dessert will be provided. Please bring a side dish to share.
