Dear Mr. Maloney:

Please regard this letter and the attached resume as my formal application for the available position on the city council. I would be honored to represent the 7'h ward and I believe you wiJl find that I am well qualified to fill this role. 1 live with my wife and two girls, age I 0 and 13 and love our Park Ridge community.
Over the past seventeen years I have worked in various leadership positions in a large multisite church of 2000 members. That experience included: event planning, mobilizing volunteers, leadership training, as well as weekly preaching, teaching, and curriculum writing. My success in our local setting has opened up doors for me to teach theology, leadership and history around the Midwest and internationally. In all of my employment and service endeavors I seek to offer integrity, innovation, passion, and leadership. I take seriously the success of my work and hope to have the opportunity to serve on the City Council.
Ministry work is people focused. As a minister I have studied human motivation and have worked with volunteers in a variety of settings. As a teacher and writer, I have studied how people learn and have honed my written and verbal communication skills. I understand the complexities of working with large groups of people. My organizational and event planning work has prepared me to be a helpful voice in Park Ridge. I want to put these experiences to work in my community.
Thank you for your attention and consideration. I am available for an interview at your convenience.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Lefler
