2012 Annual Synergy Trade Show & Conference Thursday 16th - Members Meeting - Afternoon Activity

After a bite to eat we were off to play at Blazing Saddles

There were quads

..there were horses

...and there was wildlife

10

Page 11: Member Newsletter 6th Ed Nov 2012

2012 Annual Synergy Trade Show & Conference

There was much fun and frivolity on the quads

..and just a little bit of dust...

11

Page 12: Member Newsletter 6th Ed Nov 2012

2012 Annual Synergy Trade Show & Conference

...and a much more sedate pace on the horses

…..for some…..

12

Page 13: Member Newsletter 6th Ed Nov 2012

2012 Annual Synergy Trade Show & Conference

...a quick stop to look at the Global branch

Thanks to Paul, Blue and the team for their hospitality.

Sergeant At Arms

Each event we have a Sergeant At Arms who keeps us all in

line. We all receive fines for various things over the course of the

event and at the end of the event all fines are collected and

donated to a charity of the groups choosing.

This year the charity selected was a cause dear to our heart.

One of our own, Glen Lowein (CDA Eastland Trade Supplies) and

his partner Donna. A few weeks before the Trade Show, Donna

was struck down with a blood clot in her spinal column that

paralysed her. Glen has been unable to work so the Synergy

Members decided that all the money from the Sergeant At Arms

would go to Glen and Donna. On top of the fines, a tin was passed

around to collect further contributions, and a spontaneous auction

occurred at the Gala Dinner. A huge thanks needs to go out to Ben

McEntee - The Building Connection, for being the driving force

behind this cause and being the evenings auctioneer.

We would also like to thank all the Suppliers who at the spur of the

moment donated goods to the auction (details on the next page)

and to both Members and Suppliers who bid on the Auction lots

and dug deep into their wallets for notes and loose change.

2012 Annual Synergy Trade Show & Conference

THANKYOU

Thankyou to everyone that attended the 2012 Synergy

Trade Show & Conference. Without the ongoing support

of our Sponsoring Preferred Suppliers the Annual Trade

Show would just not be possible. If the Members did not

support the Preferred Suppliers, by making purchases

on the show floor there would be little incentive for the

Suppliers to continue to sponsor these events. As you

could see from the numbers earlier, the trade show was

a great success and the feedback we have received from

both Members and Suppliers has been incredibly

positive.

Bulk Buys

Bulk Buys over the last 3 months have included Yato and

Stainless Steel with Tradequip also arranging a promotional buy

on Fans for all members that is running from October through to

February.

Several Bulk Buys were deferred or cancelled due to the large

numbers of orders placed at the Trade Show.

In the next few months you'll see offers for Drill Bits, Taps and

Dies, High Tensile, Mild Steel and Yato.

Don’t forget that we offer you promotional flyers to go along with

any bulk buys you participate in. Just let the guys know that you

would like a flyer to go along with your order when you place it

with the Synergy Team.

Without your support, these bulk buys will not go ahead, our

target is $20,000 before we send the orders through to the

suppliers, anything under this is not considered a bulk buy.

There is also a limited quantity of Ramset 101C and Powers KF2

available from Synergy.

As requested we now send out a Specials Order Form with

quantities On Hand on the 25th of each month, so you can take

advantage of the specials with your 1st of the month orders.

If you would like to purchase any of these items please

contact us at [email protected]

2013 Product Guide

The artwork has been finalised, all the files have gone to the

printer, we are expecting to have the new Product Guide, all

370 pages of it, on the dock in mid-January.

2013 Calendars

The artwork for the calendars has also been finalised and is

with the printer, we are expecting these to arrive at the same

time as the Product Guide.

Training

Perry was in Gympie in October to cover some sales training

with the team at T & R Fasteners, by all accounts it was well

received with the team learning a few handy tips.

If you would like to have the Synergy Team provide training

to your team on Sales or Micronet please contact Perry or

Cheryl to discuss your requirements.

Quote of the Quarter
