notes memorialCare CIO Scott Joslyn,“HealthShare enables us to support new initia-tives with the speed and confidence that comeswith its range of capabilities and scalability.Such agility is vital given the increasing complexity and changing nature of healthcarein this critical period of reform.” HealthShare is now at the core of many ofmemorialCare’s strategic business and clinicaltoolsets that facilitate achieving the triple aim,and establishing an accountable CareOrganization. In this early stage of transforma-tion, HealthShare for memorialCare is aggregat-ing data from all connected systems, in nearreal-time, and delivering it for the analyticsnecessary to measure and report on perform-ance, make coordinated decisions on care, and drive improvements in care quality andfinancial results. The platform for strategic interoperabilityHaving one platform for all of its interoper-ability needs, from simple interfacing to carecoordination, community engagement, andregional and national health informationexchange, has been a key to matching Itresources to business need. “Because health-care is changing so rapidly,” says Beal, “andwe’re growing so quickly, HealthShare hasbecome more than just an interface engine forus. It’s a core business application.”
