MEET THE SAILOR…

1. What is the toughest part of your sport?

The number of variables within sailing are high and therefore maintaining consistent results is always a mark of a good sailor/team.

2. Describe your training regime.

On a good day it goes a little like: train early in the morning, usually a couple of hours on the bike, back for breakfast and a few logistical jobs to tidy up before heading down to the boat park. Decent sailing session on the water and then late lunch/early dinner before a weights session in the evening. A bad day could be anything!

3. What is your greatest ever achievement in your sport?

Twice National Tornado Champion, F18 National Champion, 15th 2005 Tornado Worlds and 11th at 2005 Tornado Europeans

4. What are your aims / goals for 2008?

5. Who will provide the toughest competition?

There is a pretty long list, the Austrians have a fairly impeccable Olympic record but there’s no end of nations that could challenge: GBR, AUS, ARG, FRA, GER, ESP

6. Have you had any embarrassing moments during training or competition?

Nothing that needs noting in great detail here!

7. Who is your sporting hero?

Rocky Balboa, Lance Armstrong, Tiger Woods, John McEnroe
