Date of Visit: 26 and 27August, 2012 Time: 8:00 -16:00 hrs.

1 Can we change the volumes of

the project works? For example:

If, in one canal, the canal lining is

100 metres, can we make that 95

or 105 metres after the survey?

The drawing and design available along with the tender documents are merely a concept design and drawing. The successful Tenderer is required to carry out the detailed survey and verify the proposed structures in the field as site conditions and community needs may have changed. The survey must be approved by the supervisor prior to start of the detailed design.

The contractor will prepare the detailed design and

Bill of Quantities (BoQ) for the structure and submit

for approval of the Supervisor.

This final design of the structures may suffer

changes from the initial concept design & drawings,

such as the length of the canal lining etc. Please

refer also to Vol. 5, Design document & drawings of

Tender Document.

2 Period of the project work is 24

months, we should finish the

works in this limit time, so winter

season included in these 24

months or no?

Winter season is also included in this 24 month

period.

3 Haidar Abad and Said Abad

canals have more problems of

diversion of irrigation water. In this

case, how can we divert the

water?

Based upon the field situation, the contractor had to

decide a suitable water diversion work e.g. the use

of plastic pipes. For diversion, a lump amount is

included in the tendered BOQ.
