To maximize the efficiency for operating the CNC DOT PIN marking machine,

“Marksman”is Jeil M-Tech`s Trade name.

The marking pin has a low sound level of less than “60db” has acquired

the patent and registration, and has been produced since Jan, 2000

Installation of MKP-054

Main power : 18V , 2.0Ah Li-ion battery (Bosch)

Installation of Marking head

Installation should take place so that the distance between pin and workpiece should be 3.5-

4.5mm with a deviation of ±10mm.

Valid marking distance : 3.0~5.0mm

Refer to below drawing before install the marking head to the production line.

Noise level

In general, noise level increased when workpiece is thin and there is a gap

between clamp and workpiece.

Soundproof cover attached (Closed space): 55db, with silencer : under 50db

Noise level of heavy duty in open space : 72db, with silencer : 56db

Noise level of plate of which weight is less than 2T ton : 87db, With silencer : 68db


Adjustment marking quality : Marking quality can be adjusted the distance between work

piece and tip of marking pin.

Marking speed can be adjusted on F4 mode in MCU.

FUNCTION keys

Can change the mode from F2 to F7 in MCU-300BN on keyboard.

Modification of each mode setup value can be done through arrow key(,,,),

space bar and Enter.

F2: MARK (Marking mode)

Check the status of marking and MCU has to be in this mode during marking.

(Refer to PAGE.7)

F3:EDIT (Edit mode)

Edit the marking contents such as font, size, letter space, LOT number

and so on. (Refer to PAGE.9)

F4:SETUP (Parameter adjustment mode)

Control the speed of marking pin and motor. (Refer to PAGE.13 )

F5-1: Team code ( Press F5 to activate) .

Shift code input (Refer to pg. 14)

F5-2 : Date Code (Press F5 twice to activate)

Year, Month, Data text code input (Refer to pg. 15)

The mode which can be communicated with JS-2100 software.

Be able to insert PLT, FONT and Excel file to MCU-300BN through JS-2100. (Refer to

PAGE.17 )

The mode that can check the status of marking machine.. (Refer to page.18)

The F2 screen is the starting screen which receives the marking signals

and operates marking processes

All marking operations are only carried out in this screen.

1. Below screen will be indicated if press direction key on the keyboard. [↓].

-UN # [ 00000000 ] : Indicate the UNIT NUMBER

(Change using the key, choose from 0~999999)

-UP2 [ 00000000 ] : Specified marking quantity. Marking machine will be stopped

Automatically if marking quantity is reached to this number.

Default value of it is UN# [00000000].

EX) In case UN#[000010] and UP2[000020] “UNIT END” will be indicated to the STATUS

window after 10times marking. Additional marking job can not be activated.

-BEG BLK [00], END BLK [99] :


Set the starting and ending point of the marking block. Select from block 0~99.

*Simulation(S) : Simulation function which can check the location of marking data.

It will be activated if press “S” button on keyboard.

*Return to home (F11) : To return to home position, press F11 on the keyboard.

1. Below menu can be changed through arrow key (,) on the keyboard.

- Blk [00] : Can input up to 0~99 blocks, use PGUP,PGDN key.

- Type [LIN] : LIN(Linear), CIR(Circular-Clockwise),

CCW(Circular-Counterclockwise), PLT(PLT file), 2DM(2D MATRIX)

EMT(Empty block)

- Font[Std1] : Change the font by space bar to Std1, Std2, Dot, Usr

- Height [05.0] : Input the font size (based on height) 0MM~99.9MM

- PitchX[05.0] : : Input the distance between letters (0mm~99.9MM)

- X-Offs[010.0] : Input the starting point of X axis direction of the

marking direction from the origin (0~099.9MM)

The input value has to be following the marking window of each marking head.

- Y-Offs[010.0] : Input the starting point of Y axis direction of the

marking direction from the origin (0~099.9MM)

The input value has to be following the marking window of each marking head.

- Radius[015.0] : Input the radius of the circular marking.

Can enter 0MM~099.9MM.


However, it has to be at least 1/2 of the marking range in order to mark.

- Angle[090] : In case of linear marking, it rotates the marking letters by 0~3600.

- Lot#[0000001] : Used for automatic serial number marking. 0~999999

- Incr[+1] : Used for serial number marking. Can give a fluctuation of 0~9.-1~-9.

Press –(Minus) and Shift + on the keyboard to decrease and increase

the number. .

*Auto serial setting command word is @LLLLL@(In case of 5 digits).

- Pause[N]: When entering more than one clock, it temporarily pauses. If you press Y,

it is SET and if you press N, it is ignored. When you want to reset,

enter STOP and RESET.

- Block Data : The LCD have a total of 40 partitions for letters/numbers/symbols, but

is limited to 20 partitions. However, it is possible to improve the scroll function,

and input and mark up to 40 letters.

Enter the X,Y distance at the F3:EDIT mode as the image above. Move 100mm to the X axis,

and 50mm to the Y axis from the origin, and move the marking pin to HD4. The starting point is

the lower center of the letter. The other locations can be coded using the same method. If HD4


is on block [000], 030401 is on block [001], 234567 is on block [002]on the coordinate.

Checking the motor condition : You can check for problems of the marking pin by

pressing the direction keys on the keyboard at the F7 screen. The amount of marking pins

transferred depends on how many times the keyboard was pressed.

Therefore, it is important to check the sensor at the origin point, the motor, and the

stepping driver. You can trace the problems by checking the X and Y axis that doesn’t

follow the direction key’s signal.

6. Click MK300A2E0776. Then you can enter the pin no. (Pin no. :

1234)

7. COM PORT between JS-2100 and Lap-top has to be same so that

MKP-054 is connected with JS-2100. (Possible to check the comport

on Device manager)


8. Click “Setting” on JS-2100 and set COM Port on JS-2100 same with

Lap-top

9. Click “Save setting”


10. Enter the data you want to mark. (Refer to pg. 19 on manual)

11. Click “Marking” on JS-2100. Pop-up window is opened


12. “External Trigger“ on JS-2100 to give start signal by hand-grip

switch to mark the data on JS-2100.

** In case of desk-top , install USB dongle device to your desk-top.

(3) Undo Reverse previous job.

(4) Redo Reinstate the previous job.

(1) General – Setup the PC communication port that can be

connected with controller.


(2) Pin Marking

- Table width : Determine X axis marking range

- Table height : Determine Y Axis marking range.

- Axis movement mode : Determine a movement during marking.

→ Simultaneous : Simulation mode.

→Move X before Y : X axis is moved earlier then move to Y axis.


→Move Y before X : Y axis is moved earlier than move to X axis.

- Sol On Delay : Adjust the ON time of sol. Valve.

- Sol Off Delay : Adjust the OFF time of sol. valve.

- Sol Dot Delay : Initial value (Prohibit modification)

the created barcode to have correct barcode marking..

3. How to set-up marking contents

1. Elements window


- Marking contents using tools will be indicated to the folder

“Elements” on the screen.

- The content on Elements are marked from top to bottom.

2. Text setting by Properties window


(1) Mark : Select whether to mark or not.

(2) Name : File name on elements.

(3) Text : Input marking contents to the section of text.

(4) Use Macros : Use Macros which is promised in advance.

Ex) Auto serial no., Year, month, date, etc(Refer to pg. 28)

(5) Lot number : First auto serial no.


(6) Lot increment : Determine increase and decrease of the serial no.

(7) Lot Data Filename : Import Excel file.

(8) Lot Data File Row : Designate the row to the Excel file.

(9) X : Indicate X axis coordinate.

(10) Y : Indicate Y axis coordinate.

(11) Rotation : Rotate the characters.

(12) Scale X : Designate the size of X axis characters.

(13) Scale Y : Designate the size of Y axis characters.

(14) : Moving toward left, center and right from .

(15) : Moving toward up, center and down from .

(16) Use Computer Font : Change the font that stored in the computer.

(17-1) Use Line Font : Outline marking.

(17-2) Standard Line Font : Single line marking.

(17-3) Narrow Line Font : Narrow line marking.

(18) Equal Spacing : Make the distance between each characters.

(19) Circular : Direction of circular marking to clockwise and

counterclockwise. Cir. Radius : Radius of circular marking.

(Caution) The size of 2D data matric will be changed automatically when

You can solve the problem if you click “Adjust Data Matrix Size to fit”,

it will be changed it to proper size 2D data matrix automatically.

4. How to import EXCEL file


(1) Import Excel file when Click next to Lot Data Filename.

(2) Click the file you want to import and then click “Open”.

Macros”

(5) The data in Excel file will be indicated.

(6) @1111@ is the A row data of excel file

@2222@ is the B row data of excel file.

@33@ is the C row data of excel file.


(7) ★Caution★ The no. of data of excel file will be marked as no. of @ digits

@.

(8) 2nd line data on excel file will be marked if you input the command word

like “@ ~ R@”.


(Increase line no. is depending on no. of R.)

(9) In case to mark designate line, input the digit to “Lot Data File Row”.
