INVITATION Powerboat P1 will be staging its season launch event in the Royal Victoria Dock on 28 – 29 March 2014, consisting of P1 SuperStock Match Racing, a P1 AquaX Cup event as well as a host of other on-water activities in the heart of London. As part of our ongoing commitment to the sport, Powerboat P1 in association with the RYA will be hosting a free-to-attend Media, Marketing & Sponsorship (MMS) Workshop from 15:00 – 18:00 on Friday 28 March in the Siemens Crystal Building adjacent to London Victoria Dock. The first of its kind, the event is open to all racers, teams, clubs and event organisers affiliated to the RYA, irrespective of discipline (circuit, offshore or PWC). The workshop will look at the challenges of exploiting media coverage, creative marketing and securing sponsorship in powerboat racing. Places are limited and anyone wishing to attend the workshop should register their names with the RYA (see details overleaf). Anyone coming to the workshop is most welcome to attend the event with a full race programme scheduled on Saturday 29 March. Robert Wicks Chief Operating Officer, Powerboat P1
