Studens will understan better this story and the structure about this tense, because they will have
to narrate the story in past tense.
Val´s Diaryprocess
Students had to read the Val´s diary story, then It was listened and explained in class.I did some questions about their life and the
similarities to Val´s story according to their age, parents, family, likes and dislikes.
They had to do a presentation explaining what was the stoy about, that´s way they had to design
their mind map in class. Then they had to send me their designed mind map to be checked by me.
Finally I sent their presentation back already checked in order to be explained in front of the students.

Students love working using tv
stars, their favorite heros, singers even
though the most famous cartoons.
Through this process students can understand much better the story, they improve their reading comprehension, their vocabulary and the meaning of a simple past
tense structure and the most important their confidence to
speak English

Val and her family arrived at Greenhill, Jason and his parents are

is a tiny village, there wasn´t a cinema and fast food restaurant, there were only
ten houses, a church and

He began jumping and
shouting , and thought “the garden was perfect to
make a treehouse”.
HOW VAL ACTED?
She went into the house to
find her bedroom and
put up a “DO NOT DISTURB” sign in her
door.
Monday “July”
Her father woke up at 7 o’clok
she wanted to return to her
town soon .
Mrs. Perry cooked to her family fruit flan, they loved it

She felt so humillated and angy she was sure her face was every coloud under the sun. Luke probably thought
she was a sort of U.F.O.
Chapter 3Who´s a good Cook?
Her dad went out in the morning to buy a newspaper and
he met Smollett!They made an appointment for dinner at Val´s dad house! ´We´ll
expect you on Monday night at about 7 o´clock, Val´s dad said, if you´re free
of course, said Doctor Smollett
Saturday, July 9TH
Val´s mother asked for help! She was desperarte!
That morning, she and her husband went on a
VIM( Very Important Mission), they had to find a cake for Monday evening
There was a recipe on each piece of paper.What an odd* recipe book!
Sunday, july 10THDad woke Val up at 7 o'clock that morning!7 o 'clock! She couldn´t even sleep during the holidays with her family! He sent her to buy all the ingredients.

The shop was full of people and while he was waiting she picked up a cream and started to eat it.
