GENERAL INFORMATION

Your audition will be unaccompanied

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your audition time

Auditions will last approximately 10 minutes for percussion and an additional 5 minutes

for the timpani portion

Instruments will be supplied but please bring your own sticks, these will not be provided

You are required to prepare the first 7 excerpts if you wish to audition for a general

percussion position and all 11 excerpts if you would like to audition for timpani

You are expected to observe all dynamics, tempi and other instructions on the excerpts.

You will be assessed on tempo, rhythm, dynamics, phrasing and all rests should be

observed accurately
