Under SWADES, a database of qualified citizens is created based on their skills and experience to tap into and fulfil demand of Indian and foreign companies. Female placement rate is higher than for males in 13 of the top 15 states (which account for 86% of trainings) Share of females in training is >50% in only 5 of the 15 largest states – Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana – and that in placements is >50% in 7 out of the top 15 states (Haryana and MP, in addition to the above 5). The pilot has been rolled out in 8 States: Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Goa. To enable continuity in learning for school students under Vocationalization of School Education (VSE) scheme, e-learning content from eSkillIndia portal for 22 QP-mapped courses (which are offered in schools), were shared with States and UTs through PSS Central Institute of Vocational Education (PSSCIVE). Amazon digital campaign, which was launched to recently drive awareness on the importance of precautionary measures in combating Covid-19, has gathered traction with 1.66 lakh outreach, 25k+ followers, 67k+ engagements in the facebook page. Webinar series on Enablement of Trainers and Center Staff on Digital Skilling Tools have impacted 5,400+ trainers and centre staff.
