breve.• 2. Open syllable- A vowel in an open, unaccented syllable is long, code it
with a macron.• Open unaccented syllable-
a in an open, unaccented syllable says (u) code it with a tittle.i says (i) code it with a brevee, o, and u are half long, code them with a modified macron.
