ARTIST BIOArtist BiographyMethice Rigby a.k.a Matisse found her voice in the music industry after winning

her high school Beauty Pageant and was crowned Miss Hawksbill High 1989. She

also captured best talent and best costume. In 1995 Methice represented Grand

Bahamas in Miss Elks of the Bahamas Pageant held in Nassau, where she placed

1st Runner up and also captured best talent.

She graduated from Hawksbill High School in 1990 with a Diploma in Business

Studies, and also a graduate from the Bahamas Hotel Training College in 1995.

There she obtained a Certificate in General Catering Skills and a Diploma in Hotel

Management Operations.

Methice held many positions is the hospitality industry, the final being Restaurant

Manager. She held that position at Xanadu Beach Resort, Running Mon Marina,

Royal Towers at Atlantis Paradise Island and Our Lucaya.

Ultra Vibes Band was formed by Methice who successfully secured a spot at the Count Basie Square at Port Lucaya Marketplace from 2002 to 2015. She was also the lead singer for other groups Conch Juice Band, Panache and Upper Cut. She has written and recorded songs such as Hard Head Man, Lil Bit, Back Biters, Still Waiting and My Destiny. The song Bahamian Woman was featured on the Bahamian Divas Album produced by Lester Turnquest. She also recorded back ground vocals for artist like Phil Stubbs, Lil Joe Cartwright, Willie Love and Stevie S. Methice had the opportunity to be the opening act for many Local Artist such as, Ronnie Butler, K.b. Kirkland Bodie, Jay Mitchel, Ray Munnings, Terez Hepburn, Stevie S, Geno D, Sweet Emily, Ronnie Ambrister, Spice, Nita & Avvy. She also opened for International Artist Percy Sledge, Charles Bo Grant and the Platters, Byron Lee and the Dragoneers, Berris Hammond and KC & Jo Jo.

In full consideration for all services rendered by Ultra Vibes Band, the Hirer agrees to make the

following payments payable to Methice Rigby. Deposit $400.00. Balance paid at completion

of band performance.

To confirm the performance, return a signed copy of the contract via email, at least seven (7)

days before the event.
