Get a quote and bind todayTo access the quoting tool, click the my boat Rapid Quote box (see image) on thehomepage of the Broker Portal and then save it to your desktop or mobile device.

It’s a quick and easy 3-step process: Enter Save Send

Step 1: EnterEnter the information required regarding the customer andtheir vessel in the “Rater” tab. Once all of the information isentered, a premium will be displayed at the bottom.

Step 2: SaveOnce you complete the required fields and are satisfied with the premium produced, save as Excel Workbook and close thedocument.

Step 3: SendSubmit the Excel document via email to marine@intact.netwith the binding date. Once submitted, the quote is bound. The signed application form is due in 10 days. It is that easy!

ImportantIf the risk needs further review from anunderwriter, there will be a “refer”message where the premium isdisplayed. The reason for the referral willbe displayed below the box. Fullapplication is required to complete aquote when “refer” is indicated.

Referrals will be expedited tounderwriters and a member from theMarine team will follow-up within 24hours to complete the quote. Theapplication on the second tab of the Exceldocument must be completed and sentwithin 10 days in order to have the policydocuments issued or to receive a quotewhen "refer" is indicated.

Eligibility

Risks outside of the following criteria will needto be referred to an underwriter:

• Age: Vessels that are less than 20 years old or vessels that are less than 25 years of age and less than $20,000 in value• Vessel types: Cruisers, runabouts, sailboats, pontoons, and motors• Maximum vessel value: $200,000• Minimum years as a Vessel Owner: 2 years• Minimum years claims-free: 2 years• Length: No longer than 40’• Construction types: Fibreglass, F/G over wood, steel, aluminum, metal, frame and metal• Navigation areas: Ontario & Great Lakes, Quebec & Great Lakes, Atlantic, Prairies, Ontario, Quebec• Maximum speed: Up to 55 MPH• Vessels purchased in Canada• Vessels used for pleasure use only• Vessels that are not used as a live aboard

Mandatory fields

If any of the following fields are not completed, apremium will not be produced and it will need tobe referred to an underwriter:

• Year built• Vessel type• Construction type• Total purchase price• Navigation area

Where the following are left blank, the quoting tooldefaults to zero:

• Vessel length• Number of years as a vessel owner• Number of years claims-free
