• Warm front will bring widespread showers and thunderstorms from south to north this morning.

• Large hail the main threat• More widespread, but less severe than the

afternoon

Afternoon/Evening Storms

• Storms will erupt this afternoon ahead of a strong cold front.

• Most likely time for renewed convection 2pm – 8pm• This is when the tornadoes (a few potentially strong

and long tracked) would be possible, along with large hail and damaging winds

• Less widespread, but more severe than the morning• Event may end with individual storms forming into a

line and quickly racing east this evening

Tornado Warning Safety Tips

• Mobile homes are very susceptible to tornadoes and damaging winds. Abandon them and go to a substantial structure.

• If in a home, go to the basement or a small interior room on the lowest floor. Put as many walls between you and the outside as possible. Cover yourself with blankets or a mattress and use helmets if available.
