contemporary jewellery by 15
renowned Greek makers.

pieces that are influenced by ancient
Greek adornments, from Mycenaean
masks, Byzantine silver wedding crowns to
Macedonian burial wreaths. Many of them
have been re-imagined as a source of
inspiration for a contemporary creation.
A Jewel Made in Greece
Sally Anne Fitter & Celia Wilkinson Outside and In
23 April - 4 June
Two artists showcasing a delight of
colour through still life collages and
acrylic landscapes.
Celia’s paintings are a personal response to
her surroundings and events in her life. They
have become a visual diary - hence the
change in tempo of some of the paintings.
Sally Anne Fitter’s still life collages are
stylish and vibrant. She works in acrylic
on canvas, layering and working into the
paint to create texture. Sally incorporates
collage and gold leaf into her paintings.
She uses vivid and rich colours, influenced
by her training as a textile designer.

Peter Layton 40 Years of Excellence in Glassmaking
The potential of glass, as an exciting medium for expressive art, has long been
under-appreciated. This is changing as studio glass artists become more
adventurous and as fine artists increasingly value its unique properties and
versatility and begin to utilise this extraordinary medium.
Peter Layton has done more than most to advance
the development of glass for artistic expression.
Peter, affectionately considered the ‘grand old
man’ of British glass will turn 80 next year. His studio,
London Glassblowing, among the first in Europe
is celebrating its 40th anniversary as a vibrant
creative hub. In the last 40 years scores of talented
glassmakers have worked under his tutelage,
producing incredible collaborative projects and
individual works of glass art.
