Lincoln Academy is located within the “twin villages” of Newcastle and Damariscotta, Maine. Campus is located within as short stroll into the town center, a summer destination for many, with its restaurants, shops, and galleries along the majestic Damariscotta River.Lincoln Academy provides the perfect backdrop for creative spirits to fly.

With a rich history deep in the American traditions of the 19th and 20th century landscape painting, Coastal Maine has attracted greats from Andrew Wyeth and Winslow Homer, and into the 21st century with the creative greats of Louise Nevelson, Robert Indiana and Alex Katz.

Lincoln Academy is a short hour from Portland and three hours from Boston, making its small town charms easily accessible from Major cities.

All students will choose one Major and one Elective and take a comprehensive drawing class. They will also have the benefit of college level portfolio review, and college placement advisement.

The program will culminate with a final exhibition in a professional gallery. Every student will participate in exhibiting their work. Each class will have projects created for the final show giving students the opportunity to see their work within a public context.

The Pre-College experience at Coastal Maine exposes the student to the independence of a higher education learning environment but also allows for a structure that nurtures the educational choices of the student in safe and supported way.
