New Beginnings
A Note from Bro. McNamara Thank the good Lord, fall is here!
Summer kept us very busy here at New Beginnings. It seems like we were cutting
grass every time we turned around. We were recently blessed to have Pastor
Brian Donavan preach a three-day revival at our home church. Many of the wom-
en and men, as well as myself, received help and encouragement from the Lord.
Some, who were fighting with and grieving the Holy Spirit, had to make difficult.
These are the times when they run from the Lord and find fault with the ministry
as well as our staff. After being involved in this kind of ministry for twenty years,
we know you can’t please everyone and that we cannot stop the work that we are
doing. We know and believe that it’s the Word of God, the King James 1611 Bible,
try and the farms. The Lord continues to bless here. We’re always under some kind
of spiritual battle and we know it’s not going to stop until that day! (Bible believers
know what that day is)
Please pray for Austin, Elizabeth, and their two children, Miles and Eli, as they are
now moving on to a bigger and much needed battle after being with us for three
years. They are going to Florida to attend Bible school. This family has been a big
blessing to the ministry. I remember when Austin got saved and how the Lord
began a new work in him! All glory to God.
that they have a hard time with because it
gives them truth (John 17:17).
We’re still busy watching over 43 turkey barns,
which helps with the ministry’s needs. We’ve
had couples, who have come through the pro-
gram, stay in the area and the Lord has opened
doors for them to operate entire farms. We
have also had single men and women stay
around to help wherever needed in the minis-

Galatians 6:9
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. “
Proverbs 10:5
“He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame. “
I received the Lord Jesus Christ on September 17, 2014. I came to New Beginnings three days after being born again and it completely changed my life. I learned the Bible and to trust in the Lord (Proverbs 3:5-6). After completing the program, my wife, Elizabeth Chaffee, came to the Women’s Program. She received the Lord on October 19, 2014. When she completed the program, she moved into the house the Lord had provided for us. Within three months, we were in the position to get our two sons (Myles, age 8, and Eli, age 5) back from Elizabeth’s grandmother. The Lord blessed an old, dirty, greasy, stinky rag such as me. I’ve been in the ministry for three years and the Lord is still bless-ing. He is allowing my family and I to move to Florida and attend Bible school. I still can’t get over that day the Lord cut off my shackles! By His grace, my hope and prayer is to serve Him wherever it may lead. I’m just so grateful for an opportunity to be a part of the Lord’s army. God is good!

I have two daughters, Hailey and Anna. I have been addicted to drugs off and on since I was 13
and started getting into trouble with the law at 32. I’ve done time in jail, with eight months in a
row being my longest stretch. I woke up in jail yet again in February of this year and knew I
need to get help of some kind. I talked to people about rehabs and nothing felt right. Mrs.
Katie Hearn comes to our local jail in Tennessee every Monday night. I talked to her and did a
lot of praying. New Beginnings seemed like the best place for me, so I came.
I started missing my kids something awful and turning my life over completely was a struggle
for me. I thought I had to control everything myself; however, this always resulted in my life
being a complete mess. I’m not going to lie. It got hard, but quitting wasn’t an option for me.
I knew that there had to be a better way of life than what I had been doing. Nothing that is
worth having is easy. I prayed and prayed for understanding, and God has shown me so much.
Glory to God! He loves me and gave me another chance at life and at being a mother. Most
importantly, he gave me a chance to serve Him, my Lord and Savior. Thank you, God, for send-
ing Your Son to die on the cross for an unworthy sinner like me. Glory to God for His saving
grace. I am truly blessed!

I came to New Beginnings in 2016 as a
broken man. I was addicted to drugs
for 10 years and they ruined my life in
every way. Rather than turning to the
Lord when I was in a very dark place in
my life, I turned to drugs. I was at my
bottom. I had been to jail many times,
been admitted to mental hospitals to
help me deal with my problems, and
been to many other rehabs. In all
those places, I never found the peace I
was looking for. They pointed me in
many different directions to solve my problems but there was still something miss-
ing; I still never felt whole. I had forsaken my family, my career, and everything
that I considered important to me. One day, I was laying in the hospital with heart
problems caused by the drugs that I had done over the years and the doctor told
me that I would die if I didn’t change my life. Little did I know, the Lord had a plan
for me. After I was released from the hospital, I went to detox and my parents had
been told about a six-month program in Missouri that helps recovering drug ad-
dicts. I made the decision to come here because I was tired—tired of fighting, tired
of hurting everyone that loved me, and tired of feeling the pain that I had been
holding onto for years. New Beginnings changed my life. I gave my life to the Lord
and learned, through Him, that all things all are possible. With hard work, determi-
nation, and turning to the Lord and the Bible for my answers, I am sober and living
my life for the Lord. I now work for New Beginnings Ministries and being able to
help others and no longer just living life for myself brings me great happiness.
