CHALLENGE

▸ Provide long-term sufficiency, stability, predictability and equity in public transportation funding

▸ OPERATION : Manage urban transport demand by balancing the use of automobile and public transport

▸ INVESTMENT : Secure funding for new service improvement and development

Major investment are needed for actual services (metro, rail, …) : 84 M $ / year

▸ Maintain gas and car ownership tax revenue dedicated to metropolitan services and facilities funding
