The Breakthrough KJV is different than other Bibles forone reason: because it states with great precision and detailwhat the original Greek text says.

Unfortunately, other Bibles (including the KJV) have cho-sen not to stay as close to the Greek text as they could. Thehuge hidden flaw of today’s English Bibles is that they are lowresolution translations that blur God’s Message.

The Breakthrough KJV is a high definition Bible that ex-ceeds other Bibles in the following ways.

More Literal

Look at the words, the phrasing, and the grammar in thisBible version. Compare them to the original Greek text andyou will find that they are more literal than other Bibles.

The Breakthrough KJV incorporates many breakthroughsin translating that allow it to be more literal without being un-readable. It even translates hundreds of words that otherBibles (including the KJV) do not.

The Breakthrough KJV (BKJV) is more literal tothe original Greek manuscripts than the other

Bible versions.

This is important because God wrote His message to thehuman race in Koine Greek (the New Testament) and hassaved it for us in thousands of Greek manuscripts in vaults allacross the globe. The closer a Bible gets to the Greek message, the closer it gets to God’s message.

The Breakthrough KJV boldly stands with a flashlightbringing readers and students back to the original Greek word-ing.

More Precise

Today’s Bible versions leave out much Greek detail. Theyare not precise. The Breakthrough KJV corrects this problemthrough a new system of words that more correctly and pre-cisely translates the Greek words.

For example, the KJV translates eight different Greekwords as master, even though only one of them actuallymeans master. When Jesus is called Master in the KJV, thereader does not know if He is being called Teacher1, Mentor2,Rabbi3, Boss4, or Lord5 (1Matthew 8:19 - διδασκαλος,2Matthew 23:10 - καθηγητης, 3Matthew 26:25 - ραββι, 4Luke5:5 - ε πιστατης, 5Mark 13:35 - κυριος).

Another example is the word, prayer. Four different Greekwords are translated as prayer in most Bible versions (KJV,

Examples like these are plentiful. They all point to whatmost Christians are unaware of: their Bibles are blurring God’smessage. The Breakthrough KJV brings it all into focus.

More Contemporary

The Bible’s traditional words (words like, grace, gospel, lord, and prophet) first entered the Bible between 1395 and1611. Back then, people spoke a lot different than they dotoday and these words were common everyday words. Todaythey are not. Centuries ago these words died and were re-placed by newer words, except in the Bible.

Most Christians refuse to let these dead words die. Theyhave reanimated their corpses into a specialized church lingo, proud to have these zombies roaming the pages of their Biblesand the halls of their churches, chasing away the unchurchedand killing the message of the Bible.

Ignorant of the original meanings these zombies had, theygive them new meanings, special Bible meanings, meaningsthat everyone in church accepts as true, but meanings that donot fit into the Bible. A comprehensive look at these words inthe Bible would expose their fraud. But few are looking.

The Breakthrough KJV slays these zombies and replacesthem with the correct contemporary words that everyoneknows and uses everyday.

More Correct

As the English language has changed, some of the Bible’swords still in use today have also changed in meaning. Mostreaders miss this fact. Words like, study, believe, preach, wor-ship, reward, disciple, and messenger do not mean in the Biblewhat readers think they mean. Readers are misled.

Most English dictionaries don’t help because they only tellwhat these words mean today. They don’t tell what theymeant hundreds of years ago when they first entered the Eng-lish Bible. What they meant back then is what they mean inthe Bible. To find out what they meant back then, the historyof the word must be studied. Other Bible versions miss this.

The Breakthrough KJV is on the breaking edge of findingthese misleading words and updating them with words thathave the correct meaning. This makes the Breakthrough KJVmore correct.

More Consistent

Bible versions should be consistent in how they translatethe Greek text, but they aren’t.

A common practice in today’s Bible versions is to translateone Greek word two or more different ways in English evenwhen it is not necessary. In the KJV, over 400 Greek words thatcould have been translated the same way every time are trans-lated three or more different ways. This makes the translationunreliable and dynamic.

For example, the KJV not only translates the Greek wordλογος (logos) as word, but also as account, cause, communi-cation, X concerning, doctrine, exhortation, fame, X have to do,intent, matter, mouth, preaching, question, reason, + reckon, rumor, say, saying, shew, X speaker, speech, talk, thing, tid-ings, treatise, utterance, X what, and work (28 different ways).

χαρις (grace) is translated 11 different ways in the KJV(acceptable, benefit, favour, gift, grace, gracious, joy, liberality, pleasure, thank, thankworthy).

δυναμις (power) is translated 12 different ways in the KJV(ability, abundance, meaning, might, mighty, mighty deed, mighty work, miracle, power, strength, virtue, violence, won-derful work, worker of miracles).

Translating the Greek like this is unwarranted, yet Biblesare notorious for doing so. It is common practice for them.

Without a consistent translation, the reader is misguidedabout what the Greek text says and the translator is open totranslating a passage however he wants. A consistent transla-tion prevents this and ties the translator to the original text.

The Breakthrough KJV uses the latest technology to en-sure a more consistent translation of the Greek text.

More literal, more precise, more contemporary, more cor-rect, and more consistent. What an accomplishment! TheBreakthrough KJV has achieved a much higher level of detailand clarity.

When you are at a Bible study and this Bible reads differ-ently than the others, just say, “In the Greek, it says,” and readwhat this Bible says. You will educate yourself and everyoneelse as to what the original authors wrote and meant.

This Bible removes the veil that other versions have un-knowingly thrown over God and His message for centuries.

With this Bible, I place a high definition translation ofGod’s message in the hands of ordinary people. In it, God’smessage is not only accurate, it is easy. You know the wordsused by it. You don’t need a Bible dictionary, a college degree,or even years of going to church to understand it.

Just read it.But please read it. Read it every day. Meditate on it. Learn

from it. It is God’s message to you. It will change your life.

1 In the beginning, there was theMessage, the Message was close to

God, and the Message was God.2This Message was close to God in thebeginning.3All things came into existence throughHim, and separate from Him not evenone thing came into existence that hascome into existence.4In Him, there was life, and the lifewas the light of the people.5And the light shines in the dark, andthe dark did not take it down.6There became a person who had beensent out on a mission from the side ofGod. The name belonging to him is John.7This person came for a witness ac-count, so that he might tell what he wit-nessed about the Light, so that allmight trust through him.8That person was not the Light, but hecame so that he might tell what he wit-nessed about the Light.9The Light (the true One that illumi-nates every person) was coming intothe world.10He was in the world, the world cameinto existence through Him, and theworld did not know Him.11He went to His own places, and Hisown people did not receive Him in.12But as many as received Him, tothem He gave authority to becomeGod’s children, to the people trusting inHis name13who were born, not from blood, norfrom what a physical body wants, norfrom what a man wants, but from God.14And the Message became a physicalbody and camped among us. And weviewed His magnificence, magnifi-cence as of the only biological child fromthe side of the Father, full of generosityand truth.15John tells what he witnessed aboutHim, and he has yelled, saying, “Thiswas whom I said, ‘The One coming be-

hind me has become in front of me be-cause He was first before me.’”16And we all received from His full-ness, even generosity for generosity.17Because the law was given throughMoses, the generosity and the truthhappened through Jesus, the AnointedKing.18No one has seen God at any time. The only biological Son, the One beingin the arms of the Father, that One re-counted Him.19And this is the witness account ofJohn when the Jewish people fromGreater Jerusalem sent out priests andLevites so that they might ask him,“Who are you?”20And he acknowledged. And he didnot deny. And he acknowledged, “I amnot the Anointed King.”21And they asked him, “So who areyou? Are you Elijah?” And he says, “Iam not.” “Are you the Preacher?” Andhe answered, “No.”22So they said to him, “Who are you?So that we might give a response to thepeople who sent us. What do you sayabout yourself?”23He was declaring, “I am a voiceshouting in the backcountry, ‘Make theroad of the Master straight,’ just as Isa-iah, the preacher, said in Isaiah 40:3.”24And the people who had been sentout were from the Separatists.25And they asked him and said to him,“So why do you submerge if you arenot the Anointed King, nor Elijah, northe Preacher?”26John answered them, saying, “I sub-merge in water. But in the middle ofyou, He has stood, whom you have notseen.27He is the One coming behind me,who has become in front of me, ofwhom I am not deserving that I mightrelease the strap of His sandal.”28These things happened in Bethabara

Thehour was as if it were the tenth (4:00p.m.).40Andrew (the brother of Simon Peter)was one from the two, the two whoheard from the side of John and fol-lowed Him.41This first man finds the brother, his

own, Simon, and says to him, “We havefound the Messiah,” (that is translatedfrom Hebrew as the Anointed King).42And he led him to Jesus. When Jesuslooked at him, He said, “You are Simon, the son of Jonah. You will be calledCephas” (Aramaic for Peter, that is inter-preted rock).43The next day Jesus wanted to go outinto Galilee. And He finds Philip andsays to him, “Follow Me.”44Philip was out of Bethsaida, from thecity of Andrew and Peter.45Philip finds Nathanael and says tohim, “Whom Moses in the Law and thePreachers wrote about, we have found,Jesus, the son of Joseph, the one out ofNazareth.”46And Nathanael said to him, “Whatgood thing is able to be fromNazareth?” Philip says to him, “Comeand see.”47Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Himand says concerning him, “Look, an Is-raeli in whom is truly no deception.”48Nathanael says to Him, “Where doYou know me from?” Jesus answeredand said to him, “Before the time forPhilip to holler to you, being under thefig tree, I saw you.”49Nathanael responded and says toHim, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God.You are the King of Israel.”50Jesus responded and said to him,“Because I said to you, ‘I saw you be-neath the fig tree, do you trust?’ Youwill see greater things than these.”51And He says to him, “Amen, amen, Itell you, from now on you will see theheaven having opened and the angelsof God stepping up and stepping downon the Son of the Person.”

2 And on the day, the third one, awedding happened in Cana,

mother of Jesus says to Him, “They donot have wine.”4Jesus says to her, “What is there be-tween Me and you, ma’am? My hourhas not arrived yet.”5His mother says to the servants,“Whatever He says to you, do.”6There were six stone water pots lyingthere according to the cleansing of theJewish people having a capacity of twoor three measurers (18 or 27 gallons)apiece.7Jesus says to them, “Fill the waterpots full of water.” And they filledthem full up to the top.8And He says to them, “Draw it outnow, and carry it to the head waiter.”And they carried it to him.9As the head waiter tasted the waterthat had become wine and did not real-ize where it is from (but the servantswho had drawn out the water realizedwhere it was from), the head waiterhollers for the groom.10And he says to him, “Every personputs the nice wine out first, and whenthey are drunk, then the lesser wine. You have kept the nice wine until now.”11This beginning of the indicatorsJesus did in Cana, Galilee. And Heshowed His magnificence, and His stu-dents trusted in Him.12After this, He, His mother, His broth-ers, and His students walked down toCapernaum. And they did not staythere many days.13And the Passover of the Jewish peoplewas near, and Jesus walked up toJerusalem.14And He found on the templegrounds the people selling cattle, sheep, and doves, and the small change deal-ers sitting.15And after making a whip from ropes,He threw all of them out of the templegrounds (even the sheep and the cattle),spilled out the small change of the cur-rency exchangers, and turned over thetables.16And He said to the people selling the

doves, “Take these things out of here.Do not make the house of My Father ahouse of merchandise.”17His students remembered that it is athing that has been written in Psalm69:9, “The passion of Your house ate meup.”18So the Jewish people responded andsaid to Him, “What indicator do Youshow us because You are doing thesethings?”19Jesus answered and said to them,“Break down this temple and in threedays I will raise it up.”20So the Jewish people said, “In fortyand six years, this temple was built, and you in three days will raise it up?”21But that Jesus was talking about thetemple of His body.22So when He got up from the dead,His students remembered that He wassaying this to them, and they trusted inthe Old Testament writing and in themessage that Jesus told.23As He was in Greater Jerusalem dur-ing the Passover, many in the festivaltrusted in His name as they watchedHis indicators that He was doing.24But Jesus Himself was not trustingHimself to them because of the fact forHim to be knowing everyone25and because He did not have a needthat someone might tell what he wit-nessed about the person. You see, Heknew what was in the person.

3 There was a person from the Sepa-ratists — Nicodemus is the name

belonging to him — a head person of theJewish people.2This person came to Jesus at night andsaid to Him, “Rabbi, we realize thatYou have come out from God as ateacher. You see, no one is able to bedoing these indicators that You do un-less God is with him.”3Jesus responded and said to him,“Amen, amen, I tell you, unless some-one is born from above, he is not ableto see the empire of God.”

This is howeveryone is who has been born fromthe Spirit.”9Nicodemus responded and said toHim, “How are these things able to hap-pen?”10Jesus answered and said to him,“You are the teacher of Israel, and youdo not know these things?11Amen, amen, I tell you that what weknow, we speak, and what we haveseen, we tell that we witnessed it, andyou do not receive our witness account.12If I told the earthly things to you andyou do not trust, how will you trust if Itell you the heavenly things?13And no one has stepped up into theheaven, except the One who steppeddown from the heaven, the Son of thePerson, the One who is in the heaven.14And just as Moses put the snake uphigh in the backcountry, so it is neces-sary for the Son of the Person to be putup high15so that everyone who trusts in Himmight not be ruined, but may have lifethat spans all time.16You see, this is how God loved theworld in such a way that He gave HisSon, the only biological Son, so thateveryone trusting in Him would not be

ruined, but may have life that spans alltime;17for God did not send His Son out ona mission into the world so that He mayjudge the world, but so that the worldmight be rescued through Him.18The person trusting in Him is notjudged, but the person not trusting hasalready been judged because he has nottrusted in the name of the only biologi-cal Son of God.19This judgment is because the lighthas come into the world and the peopleloved the darkness rather than the light. You see, their actions were evil;20for everyone who repeatedly doesuseless things hates the light and doesnot come to the light so that his actionsmight not be reprimanded.21But the person doing the truth comesto the light so that it might be shownthat it is in God that his actions havebeen worked.”22After these things, Jesus and his stu-dents went into the Jewish land. AndHe was spending time there with themand submerging.23John also was in Aenon near Salimsubmerging because there was a lot ofwater there and people were showingup and being submerged.24You see, John had not yet beenthrown into the jail.25So a questioning happened from thestudents of John with Jewish peopleabout cleansing.26And they came to John and said tohim, “Rabbi, the Person who was withyou on the other side of the JordanRiver, of whom you have told what youwitnessed, look, this Person is submerg-ing and all are going to Him.”27John responded and said, “A personis not able to be receiving anything un-less it has been given to him from theheaven.28You yourselves are witnesses of methat I said that I am not the AnointedKing, but that I am a person who hasbeen sent out on a mission in front of

that Person.29The person who has the bride is agroom. But the friend of the groom, theperson who has stood and is listening tohim is happy with happiness becauseof the voice of the groom. So this, thehappiness, my happiness, has been filledup.30It is necessary for that Person to begrowing, but for me to be made less.31The Person coming from above isover all things. The person who is fromthe earth is from the earth and speaksfrom the earth. The Person coming fromthe heaven is over all things.32And the thing that He has seen andheard, He tells that He witnessed this, and no one receives His witness ac-count.33The person who received His witnessaccount put a seal on it that God istruthful;34for He whom God sent out on a mis-sion speaks the statements of God. Yousee, God doesn’t give the Spirit from ameasurement.35The Father loves the Son and hasgiven all things in His hand.36The person trusting in the Son has lifethat spans all time, but the person notbelieving the Son will not see life, butthe punishment of God stays on him.

4 So as soon as the Master knew thatthe Separatists heard that Jesus

makes and submerges more studentsthan John2(and yet Jesus definitely Himself wasnot submerging, but His students were),3He left Judea and went off again intoGalilee.4But it was necessary for Him to begoing through Samaria.5So He goes to a city of Samaria calledSychar, near the parcel of land thatJacob gave to Joseph, his son.6A spring of Jacob was there. So Jesus, who was fatigued from the road travel, was seated like this on the spring. Thehour was as if it were the sixth (noon).

7A woman from Samaria comes todraw out water. Jesus says to her,“Give Me some to drink.”8You see, His students had gone offinto the city so that they might buymeals.9So the woman, the Samaritess, says toHim, “How is it that you, who are aJewish man, is asking to drink from theside of me, who is a woman, aSamaritess?” You see, Jewish people donot associate with Samaritans.10Jesus answered and said to her, “Ifyou realized the free handout of Godand who is the One saying to you, ‘GiveMe some to drink’, you would ask Him,and He would give you living water.”11The woman says to Him, “Master,You don’t even have anything to getwater with, and the well is deep. Sowhere do You have the water, the liv-ing water, from?12You are not greater than our fatherJacob who gave us the well, are You?And he, his sons, and his livestockdrank from it.”13Jesus answered and said to her,“Everyone who drinks from this waterwill be thirsty again,14but whoever drinks from the waterthat I will give him will not in any waybe thirsty for the span of time. But thewater that I will give him will becomein him a spring of water gushing outinto life that spans all time.”15The woman says to Him, “Master, give me this water so that I may not bethirsty, nor come here to be drawingout water.”16Jesus says to her, “Go back. Hollerfor your husband, and come here.”17The woman responded and said, “Idon’t have a husband.” Jesus says toher, “Nicely, you said, ‘I don’t have ahusband.’18You see, you had five husbands, andnow who you have is not your hus-band. This that you have stated is truth-ful.”19The woman says to Him, “Master, I

see that You are a preacher.20Our fathers bowed down in thismountain, and you all say that inGreater Jerusalem is the place where itis necessary to be bowing down.”21Jesus says to her, “Ma’am, trust Me,because an hour is coming when nei-ther in this mountain, nor in GreaterJerusalem, will you bow down to theFather.22You all bow down to what you havenot seen. We bow down to what wehave seen because the rescue is fromthe Jewish people.23But an hour is coming, and it is now, when the true bowers will bow downto the Father in spirit and truth. Yousee, the Father is even looking for thesetypes of people, the ones who are bow-ing down to Him.24God is a spirit, and it is necessary forthe people bowing down to Him to bebowing down in spirit and truth.”25The woman says to Him, “I realizethat a messiah is coming, the One whois called, ‘Anointed King’. When thatOne comes, He will announce every-thing to us.”26Jesus says to her, “I, the One speak-ing to you, am Him.”27And on this, His students came andwere amazed that He was speakingwith a woman; however, no one said,“What are You looking for?” or “Whyare You speaking with her?”28So the woman left her water pot andwent off into the city. And she says tothe people,29“Come on. Look, a person who toldme everything, as much as I did. Thisisn’t the Anointed King, is it?”30So they came out of the city and werecoming to Him.31In the meantime, the students wereasking Him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.”32But Jesus said to them, “I have a din-ing to eat that you do not realize.”33So the students were saying to eachother, “Someone didn’t bring Himsomething to eat, did they?”

34Jesus says to them, “My food is thatI may do what the One who sent Mewants and I might complete His work.35Do you not say that there is yet afour-month wait and the harvestcomes? Look, I tell you, raise your eyesand view the rural areas because theyare white already toward a harvest.36And the person harvesting receivespay and gathers fruit for life that spansall time so that both the person seedingand the person harvesting may behappy at the same time.37You see, in this, the saying is true,‘Another person is the one seeding, andanother, the one harvesting.’38I sent you out on a mission to be har-vesting what you have not labored for.Others have labored, and you havecome into their labor.”39From that city, many of the Samari-tans trusted in Him because of the mes-sage of the woman telling what shewitnessed, “He told me all kinds ofthings, as much as I did.”40So as the Samaritans came to Him,they were asking Him to stay besidethem, and He stayed there two days.41And many more trusted because ofHis message.42And they were saying to the woman,“We no longer trust because of yourspeech. You see, we ourselves haveheard, and we realize that this is trulythe Rescuer of the world, the AnointedKing.”43After the two days, He went outfrom there and went off into Galilee.44You see, Jesus Himself told what Hewitnessed, that a preacher in His ownhometown does not have value.45So when He went into Galilee, theGalileans accepted Him having seen allthe things that He did in GreaterJerusalem during the festival. You see, they also went to the festival.46So Jesus went again to Cana, Galilee, where He made the water wine. Andthere was a certain royal person whoseson was weak in Capernaum.

47When this man heard that Jesus hasarrived from Judea into Galilee, hewent off to Him and was asking Himthat He would walk down and cure hisson. You see, he was going to be dying.48So Jesus said to him, “If you all don’tsee indicators and miracles, you willnot in any way trust.”49The royal person says to Him, “Mas-ter, walk down before the time for myyoung child to die.”50Jesus says to him, “Travel back. Yourson is alive.” The person trusted the an-swer that Jesus said to him, and he wastraveling back.51As he was already walking down, his slaves met him and reported, say-ing, “Your boy is alive.”52So he inquired the hour from theside of them in which he got better. And they said to him, “Yesterday, theseventh hour (1:00 p.m.), the fever lefthim.”53So the father knew that it was in thathour in which Jesus said to him, “Yourson is alive.” And he and his wholehouse trusted.54This second indicator again Jesus didwhen He went from Judea into Galilee.

5 After these things, there was a fes-tival of the Jewish people, and Jesus

walked up to Jerusalem.2In Greater Jerusalem at the sheep gateis a swimming pool, the one also calledBethesda in Hebrew, that has fivecolumned shelters.3Among these, a very large numberwas laying down, of the people whowere weak, blind, crippled, dried-up,waiting for the shaking of the water.4You see, an angel was stepping downaccording to a certain time in the swim-ming pool and agitating the water. Sothe first person who climbed in after theagitation of the water became well ofwhatever ill he was steadily having.5A certain person was there havingthirty and eight years in his weakness.6When Jesus sees this person lying

down and knows that he already has alot of time there, He says to him, “Doyou want to become well?”7The person who was weak answeredhim, “Master, I don’t have a person sothat when the water is agitated he maythrow me into the swimming pool. Butin the time that I am going, another per-son steps down before me.”8Jesus says to him, “Get up. Pick upyour mattress, and traipse around.”9And right away the person becamewell, picked up his mattress, and wastraipsing around. But a Sabbath was onthat day.10So the Jewish people were saying tothe person who had been healed, “It isa Sabbath, and you are not permitted topick up the mattress.”11He responded to them, “That personwho made me well said to me, ‘Pick upyour mattress, and traipse around.’”12So they asked him, “Who is the per-son, the one that said to you, ‘Pick upyour mattress, and traipse around’?”13The person who was healed did notrealize who it is. You see, Jesus slippedoff since a crowd was in the place.14After these things, Jesus finds him onthe temple grounds. And He said tohim, “Look, you have become well.Don’t sin anymore so that somethingworse won’t happen to you.”15The person went off and announcedto the Jewish people that Jesus is the Onewho made him well.16And because of this, the Jewish peo-ple were pursuing Jesus and looking tokill Him because He was doing thesethings on a Sabbath.17But Jesus responded to them, “MyFather until now is working, and I amworking.”18So because of this, the Jewish peoplewere looking to kill Him more becausenot only was He breaking the Sabbath, but He was also calling God His ownFather, making Himself equal to God.19So Jesus responded and was sayingto them, “Amen, amen, I tell you, the

Son is not able to be doing anything outfrom Himself if it is not something Hesees the Father doing. You see, what-ever that One does, these things the Sonalso does likewise;20for the Father is fond of the Son andshows Him all kinds of things that Hedoes. And He will show Him greateractions than these so that you may beamazed.21You see, even as the Father gets thedead people up and gives them life, soalso the Son gives life to whom Hewants;22for the Father does not judge anyoneeither, but He has given every judg-ment to the Son23so that everyone may value the Son,just as they value the Father. The personwho does not value the Son does notvalue the Father, the One who sentHim.24Amen, amen, I tell you that the per-son hearing My message and trustingthe One who sent Me has life that spansall time and does not go into judgment, but has stepped from the death to thelife.25Amen, amen, I tell you that an houris coming, and it is now, when the deadwill listen to the voice of the Son ofGod, and the ones who listen will live.26You see, even as the Father has life inHimself, so also did He give to the Sonto be having life in Himself.27And He gave Him authority to alsobe making judgment because He is ason of a person.28Don’t be amazed at this because anhour is coming in which all the peoplein the burial vaults will listen to Hisvoice29and will travel out: the ones who didthe good things to a return back to lifeof life, but the ones who constantly didthe useless things to a return back to lifeof judgment.30I am not able to be doing anythingon My own. Just as I hear, I judge. Andthe judgment, My judgment, is right be-

cause I don’t look for what is wanted, what I want, but for what the Fatherwho sent Me wants.31If I should tell what I witnessedabout Myself, My witness account isnot truthful.32There is another, the One who tellswhat He witnessed about Me, and Ihave seen that the witness account thatHe tells about Me is truthful.33You have sent people out on a missionto John, and he has told what he wit-nessed of the truth.34I do not receive the witness accountfrom the side of a person, but thesethings I say so that you might be res-cued.35That man was the lamp, the burningand shining lamp. You wanted to be ex-cited close to an hour in his light.36But I have the witness accountgreater than John’s. You see, the actionsthat the Father gave to Me so that Imight complete them, the very actionsthat I do, they tell what they witnessabout Me, that the Father has sent Meout on a mission.37And the Father who Himself sent Mehas told what He witnessed about Me.Neither His voice have you heard atany time, nor His visual image haveyou seen.38And you do not have His messagestaying in you because you do not trustthis One whom that One sent out on amission.39Check the Old Testament writings be-cause in them it seems to you for you tobe having life that spans all time. Andthose writings are the ones that tell whatthey witnessed about Me,40and you don’t want to come to Me sothat you may have life.41I don’t receive magnificence from theside of people.42But I have known you that you don’thave the love of God in yourselves.43I have come in the name of My Fa-ther, and you don’t receive Me. If an-other comes in the name, his own, you

will receive that one.44How are you able to trust magnifi-cence that you receive from the side ofeach other, and the magnificence, themagnificence from the side of the onlyGod, you don’t look for?45Don’t think that I will level a com-plaint against you to the Father. Theone leveling a complaint against you isMoses, in whom you have anticipatedgood.46You see, if you were trusting Moses, you would be trusting Me; for that manwrote about Me.47But if you don’t trust the alphabeticcharacters of that man, how will youtrust My statements?

6 After these things, Jesus went off tothe other side of the Sea of Galilee

(of Tiberias).2And a big crowd was following Himbecause they were watching His indica-tors that He was doing on the peoplewho were weak.3Jesus went up into the mountain andwas sitting there with His students.4The Passover, the festival of the Jew-ish people, was near.5So when Jesus raises His eyes and seesthat a big crowd is coming to Him, Hesays to Philip, “Where will we buyloaves of bread from so that these peoplemight eat?”6But He was saying this, trying to trou-ble him. You see, He realized what Hewas going to be doing.7Philip answered Him, “Two hundreddenarii ($10,000) worth of loaves of breadis not enough for them that each ofthem might take some bit.”8One from among His students, An-drew (the brother of Simon Peter), saysto Him,9“There is one little boy here who hasfive loaves of barley bread and twotilapia, but what are these for so manypeople?”10Jesus said, “Make the people settledown on the ground.” There was a lot of

grass in the place. So the men (the num-ber as if it were five thousand) settleddown on the ground.11Jesus took the loaves of bread, andafter being thankful, He passed themout to the students, but the students tothe reclining people (likewise also fromthe tilapia), as much as they were want-ing.12As they were filled up, He says toHis students, “Gather up the leftoverpieces so that nothing will be ruined.”13So they gathered and filled twelvebaskets full of pieces from the fiveloaves of bread, the barley bread, thatwere left over with the people who haddined.14So when the people saw that He didan indicator, they were saying, “Thistruly is the Preacher, the one that is com-ing into the world.”15So when Jesus knows that they aregoing to be coming and to be snatchingHim so that they might make Him king,He took a back way again into themountain Himself alone.16As it became evening, His studentswalked down on the sea,17and after they climbed on board intothe boat, they were going to the otherside of the sea to Capernaum. And ithad already become dark, and Jesushad not come to them.18And the sea was wide awake, a hugewind blowing.19So having driven the boat forward asif it were twenty-five or thirty track laps(3 or 4 miles), they see Jesus traipsingaround on the sea and becoming nearthe boat. And they were afraid.20But Jesus says to them, “It is Me.Don’t be afraid.”21So they were wanting to take Himinto the boat. And right away the boatbecame up to the land to which theywere going back.22The next day the crowd, the one thathad stood on the other side of the sea,saw that no other small boat was thereexcept that one into which His students

climbed on board, and that Jesus didnot go into the small boat together withHis students, but only His studentswent away.23(But other small boats came fromTiberias near the place where they atethe bread after the Master was thank-ful.)24So when the crowd saw that Jesusisn’t there, nor His students, they alsoclimbed on board into the boats andwent to Capernaum looking for Jesus.25And when they found Him on theother side of the sea, they said to Him,“Rabbi, when have You become here?”26Jesus answered them and said,“Amen, amen, I tell you, you are look-ing for Me, not because you saw indica-tors, but because you ate from theloaves of bread and were full.27Work, not for the dining, the diningthat gets ruined, but for the dining, thedining that stays for life that spans alltime, that the Son of the Person willgive to you. You see, God, the Father, put a seal on this One.”28So they said to Him, “What shouldwe do so that we may work God’s ac-tions of work?”29Jesus answered and said to them,“This is the work of God, that youshould trust in whom that One sentout.”30So they said to Him, “So what indi-cator are you doing so that we mightsee it and trust You? What are Youworking?31Our fathers ate the manna in thebackcountry, just as it has been writtenin Psalm 78:24, ‘He gave them breadfrom the heaven to eat.’”32So Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen,I tell you, Moses has not given you thebread from the heaven, but My Fathergives you the bread from the heaven, the true bread.33You see, the bread of God is the Onestepping down from the heaven andgiving life to the world.”34So they said to Him, “Master, always

give us this bread.”35Jesus said to them, “I am the Breadof the life. The one coming to Me willnot in any way be hungry, and the onetrusting in Me will not in any way bethirsty at any time.36But I said to you, ‘You have evenseen Me, and you do not trust.’37Everything that the Father gives Mewill arrive to Me. And the person com-ing to Me, I will not in any way throwoutside38because I have stepped down fromthe heaven, not so that I may do whatis wanted, what I want, but what theOne who sent Me wants.39This is what the Father who sent Mewants, that everything that He hasgiven to Me, I would not lose anythingfrom it, but I will get it up during thelast day.40This is what the One who sent Mewants, that everyone watching the Sonand trusting in Him may have life thatspans all time, and I will get him up atthe last day.”41So the Jewish people were grumblingabout Him because He said, “I am theBread, the Bread that stepped downfrom the heaven.”42And they were saying, “Isn’t thisJesus, the son of Joseph, whose fatherand mother we know? How does Henow say, ‘I have stepped down fromthe heaven?’”43So Jesus answered and said to them,“Don’t grumble with each other.44No one is able to come to Me unlessthe Father, the One who sent Me, tugson him. And I will get him up at the lastday.45It has been written in the Preachersin Isaiah 54:13, ‘And all will be peopletaught of God.’ So everyone who heardfrom the side of the Father and wholearned comes to Me46because no one has seen the Fatherexcept the One who is from the side ofGod. This One has seen the Father.47Amen, amen, I tell you, the person

trusting in Me has life that spans alltime.48I am the Bread of the life.49Your fathers ate the manna in thebackcountry and died.50This is the Bread, the One steppingdown from the heaven so that anyonemight eat from Him and not die.51I am the Bread, the Living Bread, thatstepped down from the heaven. If any-one eats from this Bread, he will live forthe span of time. Also the bread that Iwill give is My physical body that I willgive on behalf of the life of the world.”52So the Jewish people were arguing toeach other, saying, “How is this Personable to give us His physical body toeat?”53So Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen,I tell you, if you do not eat the physicalbody of the Son of the Person and drinkHis blood, you do not have life in your-selves.54The person chewing My physicalbody and drinking My blood has lifethat spans all time, and I will get himup at the last day.55You see, My physical body truly is adining, and My blood truly is a drink-ing.56The person chewing My physicalbody and drinking My blood stays inMe and I in him.57Just as the living Father sent Me outon a mission and I live because of the Fa-ther, also the person chewing Me, thatperson will also live because of Me.58This is the Bread, the One thatstepped down from heaven. Unlikehow your fathers ate the manna anddied, the person chewing this Bread willlive for the span of time.”59These things He said in a synagogueteaching in Capernaum.60So when many from among His stu-dents heard it, they said, “This messageis harsh. Who is able to be listening toit?”61But Jesus, who realized in Himselfthat His students are grumbling about

this, said to them, “Does this trip youup?62So what if you watch the Son of thePerson stepping up to where He wasthe prior time?63The spirit is what gives life. Thephysical body is not a benefit in anyway. The statements that I speak toyou; it is spirit and it is life.64But there are some from among youwho do not trust.” You see, Jesus real-ized from the beginning which peopleare the ones not trusting and which per-son is the one who will turn Him in.65And He was saying, “Because of thisI have stated to you, ‘No one is able tocome to Me unless it is a thing that hasbeen given to him from My Father.’”66From this, many of His studentswent off to the things left behind and nolonger traipsed around with Him.67So Jesus said to the Twelve, “Youdon’t also want to be going back, doyou?”68So Simon Peter answered Him,“Master, who will we go off to? Youhave statements of life that spans alltime.69And we have trusted and haveknown that You are the Anointed King, the Son of God, the living God.”70Jesus responded to them, “Didn’t Iselect you, the Twelve, and one fromamong you is an accuser?”71He was talking about Judas (a son ofSimon), an Iscariot. You see, this manwas going to be turning Him in, onewho was from among the Twelve.

7 And after these things, Jesustraipsed around in Galilee. You

see, He was not wanting to be traipsingaround in Judea because the Jewish peo-ple were looking to kill Him.2The festival of the Jewish people, theTent-Setting-Up Festival, was near.3So His brothers said to Him, “Walksomewhere else away from here, andgo back into Judea so that Your stu-dents will also see Your actions that

You do.4You see, no one does something in ahidden way and looks for it to be in anopen way. If You do these things, showYourself to the world.”5You see, neither were His brotherstrusting in Him.6So Jesus says to them, “The right time, the right time for Me, is not beside Meyet, but the right time, the right time foryou, is always ready.7The world is not able to be hating you,but it hates Me because I tell what I wit-ness about it, that its actions are evil.8You all walk up to this festival. I amnot walking up to this festival yet be-cause the right time, the right time forMe, has not yet been accomplished.”9After He said these things to them, Hestayed in Galilee.10As His brothers walked up, at thattime He also walked up to the festival, not in a shown way, but as if it were ina hidden way.11So the Jewish people were looking forHim during the festival and were say-ing, “Where is that Man?”12And there was much grumblingabout Him in the crowds. The peoplecertainly were saying, “He is a goodman.” But others were saying, “No, butHe is misleading the crowd.”13However, no one was speakingopenly about Him because of the fearof the Jewish leaders.14The festival already being halfwaythrough, Jesus walked up onto the tem-ple grounds and was teaching.15And the Jewish people were amazed, saying, “How does this Man know doc-uments, not having learned?”16Jesus answered them and said, “Myteaching is not Mine, but His, the Onewho sent Me.17If anyone wants to be doing what Hewants, he will know about the teaching, whether it is from God or I am speak-ing on My own.18The person speaking out from him-self looks for the magnificence, his own,

but the person looking for the magnifi-cence of the one who sent him, this per-son is truthful, and there is no wrong inhim.19Hasn’t Moses given you the law?And not even one from among youdoes the law. Why are you looking tokill Me?”20The crowd answered and said, “Youhave a demon. Who is looking to killYou?”21Jesus answered and said to them, “Idid one action, and everyone is amazed22because of this. Moses has given youthe circumcision (not that it is fromMoses, but from the fathers), and dur-ing a Sabbath you circumcise a person.23If a person receives circumcision dur-ing a Sabbath so that the law of Mosesmight not be broken, are you nasty toMe because I made an entire personwell during a Sabbath?24Do not judge according to the eyes, but judge the right judgment.”25So some from the Jerusalemites weresaying, “Isn’t this who they are lookingfor to kill?26And look, He is speaking openly, and they are saying nothing to Him.Perhaps the head people truly know thatthis is truly the Anointed King.27But we have seen where this Man isfrom. Whenever the Anointed Kingcomes, no one knows where He isfrom.”28So Jesus yelled on the templegrounds teaching and saying, “Youhave both seen Me and seen where Iam from. And I have not come on Myown, but it is the True One who sentMe whom you have not seen.29I have seen Him because I am fromthe side of Him, and that One sent Meout on a mission.”30So they were looking to arrest Him.And no one put their hand on Him be-cause His hour had not yet come.31Many from the crowd trusted inHim and were saying, “When theAnointed King comes, He won’t do

more indicators than these that thisMan did, will He?”32The Separatists listened to the crowdgrumbling these things about Him, andthe Separatists and the head priestssent rowers out so that they might ar-rest Him.33So Jesus said to them, “I am still withyou for a short time. And I am goingback to the One who sent Me.34You will look for Me and will notfind Me. And where I am, you are notable to go.”35So the Jewish people said to them-selves, “Where is this Man going to betraveling to, that we will not find Him?He is not going to be traveling to thescattering of the Greeks and to be teach-ing the Greeks, is He?36What is this saying that He said?‘You will look for Me, and you will notfind Me. And where I am, you are notable to go.’”37During the last day (the huge one) ofthe festival, Jesus had stood, and Heyelled, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, come to Me and drink.38The person trusting in Me, just as theOld Testament writing said, ‘Rivers ofliving water will flow from his belly.’”39(He said this about the Spirit thatthey were going to be receiving, thepeople who trust in Him. You see, theSacred Spirit was not yet given becauseJesus was not yet made magnificent.)40So many from the crowd who heardthe message were saying, “Truly this isthe Preacher.”41Others were saying, “This is theAnointed King.” But others were say-ing, “You see, the Anointed King doesnot come from Galilee, does He?42Didn’t the Old Testament writing saythat from the seed of David and out ofBethlehem (the village where Davidwas) comes the Anointed King?”43So there became a split in the crowdbecause of Him.44Some from among them were want-ing to arrest Him, but no one put their

hands on Him.45So the rowers went to the headpriests and Separatists, and those lead-ers said to them, “Why didn’t you leadHim here?”46The rowers answered, “A personnever ever spoke like this, as this Per-son does.”47So the Separatists responded tothem, “You have not also been misled, have you?48Someone from the head people orfrom the Separatists didn’t trust inHim, did they?49But this crowd, the crowd that doesnot know the law, is cursed.”50Nicodemus (the one who came toHim at night, who is from amongthem) said to them,51“Our law does not judge the personunless it might previously hear fromthe side of him and know what he does, does it?”52They answered and said to him,“You aren’t also from Galilee, are you?Check and see that a preacher does notraise up from Galilee.”53And each traveled to his house.

8 Jesus traveled to the Mountain ofthe Olives.

2At daybreak again, He showed up onthe temple grounds, and the entiregroup was coming to Him. And afterHe was seated, He was teaching them.3The Old Testament transcribers andthe Separatists lead a woman to Himwho has been taken down while cheat-ing on her spouse. And after they standher in the middle,4they say to Him, “Teacher, thiswoman was taken down over the veryact, cheating on her spouse.5In the law, Moses demanded us to behaving stones thrown at these types ofwomen. So what do You say?”6They were saying this, trying to causetrouble with Him, so that they mayhave a complaint to be leveling againstHim. But after Jesus stooped down, He

was writing in the soil with His fingerpretending to not hear them.7As they were staying at it, askingHim, when He stood upright, He saidto them, “Your first sinless person mustthrow the stone on her.”8And again after stooping down, Hewas writing in the soil.9The people who heard it and were rep-rimanded by their conscience weregoing out one by one, beginning fromthe older men until the last. And Jesuswas left down there alone and thewoman who had stood in the middle.10When Jesus stood upright and sawno one other than the woman, He saidto her, “The woman — where are thosecomplainants agaist you? Did no onefind you guilty?”11The woman said, “No one, Master.”Jesus said to her, “Neither do I find youguilty. Travel home, and do not sin any-more.”12So again Jesus spoke to them, saying,“I am the Light of the world. The personfollowing Me will not in any waytraipse around in the dark, but willhave the light of the life.”13So the Separatists said to Him, “Youare telling what You witness aboutYourself. Your witness account is nottruthful.”14Jesus answered and said to them,“Even if I should tell what I witnessabout Myself, My witness account istruthful because I realize where I camefrom and where I am going back to. Butyou do not realize where I come fromand where I am going back to.15You judge in line with the physicalbody. I do not judge anyone.16Even if I judge, the judgment, Myjudgment, is truthful because I am notalone, but it is I and the Father who sentMe,17and in the law, your law, it has beenwritten in Deuteronomy 17:6 and 19:15,‘The witness account of two people istruthful.’18I am the One who tells what I witness

about Myself, and He tells what He wit-nesses about Me, the Father who sentMe.”19So they were saying to Him, “Whereis Your Father?” Jesus answered, “Youknow neither Me, nor My Father. If youknew Me, you would also know My Fa-ther.”20Jesus spoke these statements at thetreasury vault as He taught on the tem-ple grounds. And no one arrested Himbecause His hour had not come yet.21So Jesus said to them again, “I amgoing back, and you will look for Meand die in your sin. Where I am goingback to, you are not able to go to.”22So the Jewish people were saying,“He won’t kill Himself, will He? Be-cause He says, ‘Where I am going backto, you are not able to go to’?”23He also said to them, “You are fromthe ones below. I am from the onesabove. You are from this world. I amnot from this world.24So I said to you, ‘You will die in yoursins.’ You see, if you do not trust that ‘Iam’, you will die in your sins.”25So they were saying to Him, “You,who are you?” Jesus said to them, “Pri-marily, something that I am also speak-ing to you.26I have many things to be speakingand to be judging about you, but theOne who sent Me is truthful, and I saythese things to the world that I heardfrom the side of Him.”27They did not know that He wastelling them of the Father.28So Jesus said to them, “When youput the Son of the Person up high, atthat time, you will know that ‘I am’,and I do nothing on My own, but justas My Father taught Me, I am speakingthese things.29And the One who sent Me is withMe. The Father did not leave Me alonebecause I always do the things satisfy-ing to Him.”30As He was speaking these things, many trusted in Him.

31So Jesus was saying to the Jewish peo-ple who had trusted Him, “If you stayin the message, My message, you trulyare My students.32And you will know the truth, andthe truth will set you free.”33They responded to Him, “We areAbraham’s seed and have not beenslaves at any time to anyone. How areyou saying, ‘You will become free?’”34Jesus answered them, “Amen, amen,I tell you that everyone committing thesin is a slave of the sin.35The slave does not stay in the housefor the span of time. The Son stays forthe span of time.36So if the Son set you free, you will re-ally be free.37I realize that you are Abraham’sseed, but you are looking to kill Me be-cause there is no room in you for themessage, My message.38I am speaking what I have seen be-side My Father, so you also are doingwhat you have seen beside your fa-ther.”39They responded and said to Him,“Our father is Abraham.” Jesus says tothem, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the actions of Abraham.40But now you are looking to kill Me(a person who — I have spoken thetruth to you that I heard from the sideof God). This, Abraham did not do.41You are doing the actions of your fa-ther.” So they said to Him, “We haven’tbeen born from sexual sin. We have oneFather, God.”42Jesus said to them, “If God wereyour Father, you would be loving Me.You see, I came out from God, and Ihave arrived; for neither have I comeon My own, but that One sent me outon a mission.43Why don’t you know the speech, Myspeech? Because you are not able to behearing the message, My message.44You are from a father, the Accuser, and you want to be doing the desires ofyour father. That Accuser was a people-

killer from the beginning and has notstood in the truth because truth is notin him. Whenever he speaks the lie, hespeaks on his own because he is a liarand its father.45But because I tell the truth, you donot trust Me.46Who from among you reprimandsMe about a sin? If I tell the truth, whydon’t you trust Me?47The person who is from God hearsthe statements of God. Because of this, you don’t hear, because you are notfrom God.”48So the Jewish people responded andsaid to Him, “Don’t we nicely say thatyou are a Samaritan and have ademon?”49Jesus responded, “I do not have ademon, but I value My Father, and youbelittle Me.50I am not looking for My magnifi-cence. He is the One looking for it andjudging.51Amen, amen, I tell you, if anyonekeeps the message, My message, he willnot in any way see death for the spanof time.”52So the Jewish people said to Him,“Now we have known that you have ademon. Abraham and the preachersdied, and You are saying, ‘If anyonekeeps My message, he will not in anyway taste death for the span of time.’53You are not greater than our fatherAbraham, someone who is dead, areYou? And the preachers died. Who areYou making Yourself out to be?”54Jesus answered, “If I make Myselfmagnificent, My magnificence is noth-ing. My Father is the One who makesMe magnificent, whom you say that Heis your God,55and you have not known Him, but Ihave seen Him. If I even say that I havenot seen Him, I will be like you, a liar, but I have seen Him, and I keep Hismessage.56Your father Abraham was excitedthat he might see the day, My day. And

he saw it and was happy.”57So the Jewish people said to Him,“You don’t yet have fifty years, and Youhave seen Abraham?”58Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, Itell you, before the time for Abraham tocome into existence, I am.”59So they picked up stones so that theymight throw them on Him, but Jesushid and went out of the templegrounds, going through the middle ofthem and in this way was passing onby.

9 And as He passed on by, He saw aperson, blind from birth.

2And His students asked Him, saying,“Rabbi, who sinned, this person or hisparents, that he would be born blind?”3Jesus answered, “Neither this personsinned, nor his parents, but it happenedso that the actions of God might beshown in him.4It is necessary for Me to be workingthe actions of work of the One who sentMe while it is day. Night is comingwhen no one is able to be working.5Whenever I am in the world, I am alight of the world.”6After He said these things, He spat onthe ground, made mud from the spit, anointed the mud on the eyes of theblind person,7and said to him, “Go back, wash inthe swimming pool of Siloam” (that isinterpreted from Hebrew as “Havingbeen sent out”). So he went off, washed, and came seeing.8So the neighbors and the people whosaw him the prior time, that he wasblind, were saying, “Isn’t this the onesitting and begging?”9Others were saying, “This is him.” Butothers, “He is like him.” That personwas saying, “I am him.”10So they were saying to him, “Howwere your eyes opened?”11That person answered and said, “Aperson called Jesus made mud, anointed it on my eyes, and said to me,

‘Go back into the swimming pool of theSiloam and wash.’ When I went off andwashed, I saw again.”12They said to him, “Where is that Per-son?” He says, “I don’t know.”13They lead him to the Separatists (theperson blind in the past).14It was a Sabbath when Jesus madethe mud and opened his eyes.15So again the Separatists also wereasking him how he saw again. The per-son said to them, “He put mud on myeyes, I washed, and I see.”16So some from the Separatists weresaying, “This Person is not from theside of God because He does not keepthe Sabbath.” Others were saying,“How is a sinful person able to be doingthese types of indicators?” And therewas a split among them.17They say to the blind person again,“What do you say about Him, that Heopened your eyes?” The person said,“He is a preacher.”18So the Jewish leaders didn’t trust thisabout him, that he was blind and sawagain, until a certain time that theyhollered for his parents, the parents ofthe person who saw again.19And they asked them, saying, “Isthis your son whom you say that hewas born blind? So how does he seenow?”20His parents answered them and said,“We know that this is our son and thathe was born blind.21But how does he now see? We do notknow. Or who opened his eyes? We donot know. He has the age. Ask him. Hewill speak concerning himself.”22His parents said these things becausethey feared the Jewish leaders. You see,the Jewish leaders were already agree-ing that if anyone acknowledged Himas the Anointed King, he would becomeexcommunicated from the synagogue.23Because of this, his parents said, “Hehas the age. Ask him.”24So from a second time they holleredfor the person who was blind and said

to him, “Give magnificence to God. Weknow that this Person is sinful.”25So that person responded and said,“If He is sinful, I do not know. Onething I know, that I, being a blind person, now see.”26They said to him again, “What didHe do to you? How did He open youreyes?”27He answered them, “I already toldyou, and you did not listen. Why doyou want to be listening to it again? Youdon’t also want to become His students,do you?”28So they put him down and said,“You are a student of that Person, butwe are students of Moses.29We know that God has spoken toMoses, but this Person, we don’t knowwhere He is from.”30The person responded and said tothem, “You see, in this is an amazingthing, that you don’t know where He isfrom, and He opened my eyes.31We know that God doesn’t listen tosinful people, but if anyone is God-wor-shipping and does what He wants, Helistens to this person.32From the span of time, it has notbeen heard that anyone opened theeyes of a person who has been bornblind.33If this Person wasn’t from the side ofGod, He wasn’t able to be doing any-thing.”34They responded and said to him, “Insins you were born, the whole you, andyou are teaching us?” And they threwhim outside.35Jesus heard that they threw him out-side. And when He found him, He saidto him, “Do you trust in the Son ofGod?”36That person answered and said,“Who is He, Master, so that I mighttrust in Him?”37Jesus said to him, “You have bothseen Him and the One speaking withyou is that Son.”38The person was declaring, “I trust,

Master,” and he bowed down to Him.39And Jesus said, “For judgment Icame into this world so that the peoplenot seeing may see and the people see-ing might become blind.”40And some from the Separatists heardthese things (the ones who were withHim) and said to Him, “We are not alsoblind, are we?”41Jesus said to them, “If you wereblind, you would not have sin. But nowyou say, ‘We see.’ So your sin stays.”

10 “Amen, amen, I tell you, theperson not going in through the

door into the yard of the sheep, butclimbing up some other way, that per-son is a thief and a bandit.2The one going in through the door isa shepherd of the sheep.3To this one, the doorkeeper opens up,and the sheep listen to his voice. Andhe hollers for his own sheep by nameand leads them out.4And whenever he takes his own sheepout, he travels in front of them, and thesheep follow him because they knowhis voice.5A shepherd belonging to others theywon’t in any way follow, but they willescape away from him because theydon’t know the voice of the shepherdsbelonging to others.”6Jesus told this analogy to them, butthose people didn’t know what things itwas that He was speaking to them.7So Jesus said to them again, “Amen, amen, I tell you, I am the door of thesheep.8Everyone, as many as came before Meare thieves and bandits, but the sheepdidn’t listen to them.9I am the door. Through Me, if anyonegoes in, he will be rescued. And he willgo in and go out, and will find pasture.10The thief doesn’t come except so thathe might steal, kill, and ruin. I came sothat they may have life and have muchmore.11I am the Shepherd, the Nice One. The

Shepherd, the Nice One, puts His soulout there on behalf of the sheep.12The hired worker (not also being ashepherd, whose sheep are not hisown) sees the wolf coming, leaves thesheep, and escapes. And the wolfsnatches them and scatters the sheep.13The hired worker escapes because heis a hired worker and there is no con-cern in him about the sheep.14I am the Shepherd, the Nice One, Iknow My sheep, and I am known by Mysheep,15just as the Father knows Me and Iknow the Father. And I put my soul outthere on behalf of the sheep.16And I have other sheep that are notfrom this yard. And it is necessary forMe to lead those sheep. And they willlisten to My voice, and it will becomeone flock, one Shepherd.17Because of this, the Father loves Me,because I put my soul out there so that Imight receive it again.18No one takes it away from Me, but Iput it out there out from Myself. I haveauthority to put it out there, and I haveauthority to receive it again. I receivedthis demand from the side of My Fa-ther.”19So there became a split again amongthe Jewish people because of these mes-sages.20Many from among them were say-ing, “He has a demon and is crazy. Why are you listening to Him?”21Others were saying, “These are notthe statements of a person who has ademon. A demon is not able to be open-ing eyes of blind people, is it?”22It became Hanukkah (the initiations)in Greater Jerusalem, and there was astorm.23And Jesus was traipsing around onthe temple grounds in the ColumnedShelter of Solomon.24So the Jewish people surrounded Himand were saying to Him, “Until whenare You raising our souls? If You are theAnointed King, tell us openly.”

25Jesus answered them, “I told you,and you do not trust. The actions that Ido in the name of My Father, thesethings are witnesses concerning Me.26But you do not trust. You see, youare not from the sheep, My sheep, justas I told you.27The sheep, My sheep, listen to Myvoice, I know them, and they followMe.28And I give them life that spans alltime, they will not in any way be ru-ined for the span of time, and someonewill not snatch them from My hand.29My Father, who has given them toMe, is greater than everyone, and noone is able to be snatching them fromthe hand of My Father.30I and the Father are one.”31So again the Jewish people hauledstones so that they might attack Himwith stones.32Jesus responded to them, “I showedyou many nice actions from My Father.Because of which action of these areyou attacking Me with stones?”33The Jewish people answered Him,saying, “We are not attacking You withstones concerning a nice action, butconcerning a hurtful comment and be-cause You, being a person, make Your-self a god.”34Jesus responded to them, “Is it not athing that has been written in your lawin Psalm 82:6, ‘I said, You are gods’?35If He called those people gods towhom the message of God happened, and the Old Testament writing is notable to be undone,36are you saying concerning whom theFather made sacred and sent out intothe world, ‘You are saying hurtfulthings,’ because I said, ‘I am a son ofGod’?37If I am not doing the actions of MyFather, don’t trust Me.38But if I am doing them, even if youdon’t trust Me, trust the actions so thatyou might know and trust that the Fa-ther is in Me and I in Him.”

39So they were looking again to arrestHim, and He went out of their hand.40And He went off again to the otherside of the Jordan River to the placewhere John was submerging the firsttime, and He stayed there.41And many went to Him and weresaying, “John certainly didn’t do evenone indicator, but everything as muchas John said about this Man was truth-ful.”42And many trusted in Him there.

11 There was a certain man whowas weak, Lazarus, out of

Bethany, from the village of Mary andher sister Martha.2Mary was the woman who dabbed per-fume on the Master and wiped His feetdry with her hair, whose brotherLazarus was weak.3So the sisters sent someone out to Him,saying, “Master, look, a person whomYou are fond of is weak.”4When Jesus heard, He said, “Thisweakness is not to death, but on behalfof the magnificence of God, so that theSon of God might be made magnificentthrough it.”5Jesus was loving Martha, her sister, and Lazarus.6So as He heard that he is weak, at thattime, He certainly stayed in a placewhere He was two days.7Following after this, He says to thestudents, “We may lead into Judeaagain.”8The students say to Him, “Rabbi, theJewish people now were looking to at-tack You with stones, and You aregoing back there again?”9Jesus answered, “Are there not twelvehours of the day? If anyone traipsesaround during the day, he doesn’tstumble because he sees the light of thisworld.10But if anyone traipses around in thenight, he stumbles because the light isnot in him.”11He said these things, and after this

He says to them, “Our friend Lazarushas fallen asleep, but I am travelingthere so that I might wake him up.”12So His students said, “Master, if hehas fallen asleep, he will be rescued.”13Jesus had stated about his death, butto those students it seemed that He istalking about the sleep of the slumber.14So at that time, Jesus said to themopenly, “Lazarus died,15and I am happy because of you (sothat you might trust) that I wasn’t there, but we may lead toward him.”16So Thomas (the one called Twin) saidto his fellow students, “We may alsolead so that we might die with him.”17So when Jesus came, He found himalready having four days in the burialvault.18Bethany was near Greater Jerusalem,as if it were fifteen track laps (almost 2miles) away.19Many from the Jewish people hadcome to the women around Martha andMary so that they might comfort themconcerning their brother.20So Martha, as she heard that Jesus iscoming, went to meet with Him. ButMary was seated in the house.21So Martha said to Jesus, “Master, ifYou were here, my brother wouldn’thave died.22But I realize even now that howevermany things that you ask God for, Godwill give to You.”23Jesus says to her, “Your brother willcome back to life again.”24Martha says to Him, “I realize thathe will come back to life again in the re-turn back to life in the last day.”25Jesus said to her, “I am the ReturnBack to Life and the Life. The persontrusting in Me, even if he were dead, hewill live.26And everyone living and trusting inMe will not in any way die for the spanof time. Do you trust this?”27She says to Him, “Yes, Master. I havetrusted that You are the Anointed King, the Son of God, the One coming into the

world.”28And after she said these things, shewent away and hollered in an unno-ticed way for Mary, her sister, whenshe said, “The Teacher is beside us andis hollering for you.”29That sister, as she heard, gets upquickly and goes to Him.30Jesus hadn’t yet come into the vil-lage, but was in the place whereMartha went to meet Him.31So the Jewish people, the ones whowere with her in the house and werecomforting her, when they saw thatMary quickly got up and went out, fol-lowed her, saying that she is goingback to the burial vault so that shemight cry there.32So Mary, as she came to where Jesuswas, when she saw Him, fell to His feet, saying to Him, “Master, if You werehere, my brother would not have died.”33So Jesus, as He saw her crying andthe Jewish people who came togetherwith her crying, was stern in the spiritand agitated Himself.34And He said, “Where have you puthim?” They say to Him, “Master, comeand see.”35Jesus teared up.36So the Jewish people were saying,“Look, how fond He was of him!”37But some from among them said,“Wasn’t this Man, the One who openedthe eyes of the blind, able to make it sothat this man also would not die?”38So Jesus again being stern in Himselfcomes to the burial vault. It was a caveand a stone was lying on it.39Jesus says, “Take the stone away.”The sister of the one who had died,Martha, says to Him, “Master, he al-ready stinks. You see, he is a four-day-old corpse.”40Jesus says to her, “Didn’t I tell youthat if you trust, you will see the mag-nificence of God?”41So they took the stone away fromwhere the one that had died was lying.Jesus raised up His eyes and said, “Fa-

ther, I thank You that You listened toMe.42I knew that You always listen to Me,but because of the crowd, the one thathas stood around, I said it so that theymight trust that You sent Me out on amission.”43And after saying these things, Hemade a yell with a loud voice,“Lazarus, come here outside.”44The one who had died came out hav-ing been tied up (the feet and thehands) with strips of cloth, and his eyeshad a towel tied around them. Jesussays to them, “Release him, and leavehim to be going back home.”45So many from the Jewish people, theones who came to Mary and saw whatJesus did, trusted in Him.46But some from among them went offto the Separatists and told them thingsthat Jesus did.47So the head priests and the Sepa-ratists gathered a council together andwere saying, “What do we do? Becausethis Person is doing many indicators.48If we leave Him like this, everyonewill trust in Him, and the Romans willcome and take away both our place andnation.”49A certain one from among them, Ca-iaphas, who was the head priest thatyear, said to them, “You don’t knowanything.50Neither are you thoroughly consid-ering that it is advantageous to us thatone person die on behalf of the ethnicgroup and the whole nation not be ru-ined.”51This he didn’t say out from himself, but being a head priest that year, heprophesied that Jesus was going to bedying on behalf of the nation,52and not just on behalf of the nation, but so that He might also gather thechildren of God (the ones that had beendispersed) together into one.53So from that day they together ad-vised that they should kill Him.54So Jesus was no longer traipsing

And He wasspending time there with His students.55The Passover of the Jewish peoplewas near, and many walked up toJerusalem from the rural area beforethe Passover so that they might conse-crate themselves.56So they were looking for Jesus andwere talking with each other (who hadstood on the temple grounds), “What?Does it seem to you that He won’t inany way come to the festival?”57Both the head priests and the Sepa-ratists had given a demand that if any-one knew where He is, He shoulddisclose it in order that they might ar-rest Him.

12 So Jesus, six days before thePassover, went into Bethany

where Lazarus was, the one that haddied, whom He got up from the dead.2So they made a dinner there for Him,and Martha was serving. Lazarus wasone of the people reclining together withHim.3So after Mary took a pound of veryvaluable authentic Spikenard perfume, she dabbed it on the feet of Jesus, andwiped His feet dry with her hair. Thehouse was filled from the aroma of theperfume.4So one from His students, Judas (ason of Simon, an Iscariot, the one whois going to be turning Him in), says,5“Why wasn’t this perfume put up forsale for three hundred denarii ($15,000)and given to the poor?”6He said this, not because it was a con-cern to him about the poor, but becausehe was a thief and had the money box.And he was hauling out the moneybeing put in it.7So Jesus said, “Leave her alone. Shehas kept it for the day of My embalm-ing.8You see, the poor you always have

with you, but Me you don’t alwayshave.”9So a big crowd from the Jewish peopleknew that He is there, and they camenot only because of Jesus, but so thatthey also might see Lazarus, whom Hegot up from the dead.10But the head priests advised thatthey should also kill Lazarus11because many of the Jewish peoplewere going back and trusting in Jesusbecause of him.12On the next day when a big crowdthat came to the festival heard thatJesus is coming to Jerusalem,13they took the sprigs of the palm treesand went out for an encounter withHim. And they were yelling, “Hosanna(Hebrew for ‘O, rescue us’), the One com-ing in the Master’s name and the kingof Israel that has been conferred withprosperity.”14When Jesus found a little donkey, Hewas seated on it, just as it has been writ-ten in Zechariah 9:9,15“Don’t be afraid, daughter of Zion.Look, your king is coming sitting on afoal of a donkey.”16His students didn’t know thesethings the first time, but when Jesus wasmade magnificent, at that time they re-membered that these things had beenwritten on Him and they did thesethings to Him.17So the crowd was telling what theywitnessed (the crowd that was withHim when He hollered for Lazarus tocome out of the burial vault and got himup from the dead).18Because of this, the crowd also wentto meet Him, because they heard this:for Him to have done the indicator.19So the Separatists said to themselves,“Do you see that you are not benefitingin any way? Look, the world went offbehind Him.”20Greeks were some from among thepeople walking up so that they mightbow down in the festival.21So these Greeks came forward to

Philip (the one out of Bethsaida,Galilee) and were asking him, saying,“Master, we want to see Jesus.”22Philip goes and tells it to Andrew. And Andrew and Philip tell it again toJesus.23But Jesus answered them, saying,“The hour has come that the Son of thePerson will be made magnificent.24Amen, amen, I tell you, unless thekernel of the grain, after falling into theground, dies, it stays alone. But if itdies, it carries much fruit.25The person who is fond of his soulwill lose it, and the person who hates hissoul in this world will guard it for a lifethat spans all time.26If anyone serves Me, he must followMe, and where I am, there the servant,My servant, will also be. If anyoneserves Me, the Father will value him.27Now My soul has been uneasy. Andwhat should I say? Father, rescue Mefrom this hour? But because of this, Icame to this hour.28Father, make Your name magnifi-cent.” So a voice came from the sky, “Iboth made it magnificent and againwill make it magnificent.”29So the crowd (the crowd that hadstood there and heard it) were sayingfor thunder to have happened. Otherswere saying an angel has spoken toHim.30Jesus responded and said, “Thisvoice hasn’t happened because of Me,but because of you.31Now is a judgment of this world. Now the head of this world will bethrown out.32And I, if I be put up high from theearth, I will tug everyone to Myself.”33This He was saying indicating whatkind of death He was going to be dying.34The crowd responded to Him, “Weheard from the law that the AnointedKing stays for the span of time. Andhow are You saying that it is necessaryfor the Son of the Person to be put uphigh? Who is this Son of the Person?”

35So Jesus said to them, “The light iswith you for a short time yet. Traipsearound while you have the light so thatdarkness might not take you down. The person traipsing around in the darkdoesn’t even realize where he is goingback to.36While you have the light, trust in thelight so that you might become sons oflight.” Jesus spoke these things, andwhen He went away, He was hiddenaway from them.37Although He had done so many in-dicators in front of them, they were nottrusting in Him,38so that the message of Isaiah, thepreacher, might be accomplished thatHe said in Isaiah 53:1, “Master, whotrusted what was heard from us, andthe arm of the Master, to whom was ituncovered?”39Because of this, they were not able tobe trusting, because Isaiah again said inIsaiah 6:10,40“He has blinded their eyes and hasmade their heart hard as stone so thatthey might not see with the eyes, beaware with the heart, return back, andI might cure them.”41Isaiah said these things when he sawHis magnificence and spoke aboutHim.42In the same manner, however, evenmany from the head people trusted inHim, but because of the Separatiststhey weren’t acknowledging it so thatthey wouldn’t become excommuni-cated from the synagogue.43You see, they loved the magnificenceof the people rather than even the mag-nificence of God.44Jesus yelled and said, “The persontrusting in Me does not trust in Me, butin the One who sent Me.45And the person watching Me watchesthe One who sent Me.46I have come — a light into the world— so that everyone trusting in Memight not stay in the dark.47And if anyone listens to My state-

ments and doesn’t trust, I don’t judgeHim. You see, I didn’t come so that Imay judge the world, but so that Imight rescue the world.48The person invalidating Me and notreceiving My statements has the mes-sage judging him, the message that Ispoke. That will judge him in the lastday49because I didn’t speak from Myself, but the Father who sent Me, He gaveMe a demand, what I might say andwhat I might speak.50And I realize that His demand is lifethat spans all time; so things that I amspeaking, just as the Father has statedto Me, so I am speaking.”

13 Before the Festival of thePassover, after Jesus realized

that His hour had come so that Hemight step from this world to the Fa-ther, He, who loved His own people (thepeople in the world), loved them to theconclusion.2And after dinner happened, when theAccuser had already put in the heart ofJudas, a son of Simon, an Iscariot, thathe would turn Him in,3Jesus realizing that the Father hasgiven everything to Him, into Hishands, and that He came out from Godand is going back to God,4He gets up from the dinner, puts Hisclothes down, and after taking a linentowel, tied it across Himself. 5After that He puts water into the largebowl and began to be washing the feetof the students and to be wiping themdry with the linen towel that had beentied across.6So He comes to Simon Peter. And thatPeter says to Him, “Master, are Youwashing my feet?”7Jesus answered and said to him,“What I am doing, you don’t realizenow. You will know after these things.”8Peter says to Him, “You will not inany way wash my feet for the span oftime.” Jesus answered him, “If I will

not wash you, you have no part withMe.”9Simon Peter says to Him, “Master, notjust my feet, but also the hands and thehead.”10Jesus says to him, “The person whohas been given a bath has no need thanto wash the feet, but the whole body isclean. And you are clean, but definitelynot all.”11You see, He knew the person turningHim in. Because of this, He said, “Youare definitely not all clean.”12So when He washed their feet andtook His clothes, after settling downagain, He said to them, “Do you knowwhat I have done to you?13You holler at Me, ‘the Teacher’ and‘the Master’, and nicely you say it. Yousee, that is what I am.14So if I, the Master and the Teacher, washed your feet, you are obligated toalso be washing the feet of each other.15You see, I gave you a demonstrationso that, just as I did to you, you alsomay do.16Amen, amen, I tell you, a slave is notgreater than his master, neither a mis-sionary greater than the one who senthim.17If you realize these things, you areblessed if you do them.18I am not talking about all of you. I re-alize whom I selected, but I selected himso that the Old Testament writing inPsalm 41:9 might be accomplished, ‘Theone chewing the bread with me raisedup his heel on Me.’19From now on I am telling you beforethe time for it to happen so that youmight trust (when it happens) that I amHim.20Amen, amen, I tell you, the person re-ceiving whomever I sent receives Me.The person receiving Me receives theOne who sent Me.”21After Jesus said these things, He wasuneasy in the spirit. And He told whatHe witnessed and said, “Amen, amen,I tell you that one from among you will

turn Me in.”22So the students were looking at eachother, not sure what to think aboutwhat He says.23One of His students was reclining inthe front of Jesus (whom Jesus kept lov-ing).24So Simon Peter gestures to this personto inquire who it might be that He istalking about.25When that person got down on thechest of Jesus, he says to Him, “Master, who is it?”26Jesus answers, “It is that person towhom, after dipping the fragment ofbread, I will give it over to.” And afterdipping the fragment, He gives it toJudas, the son of Simon, an Iscariot.27And after the fragment of bread, atthat time, the Opponent went into thatman. So Jesus says to him, “Do whatyou are doing faster.”28None of the people reclining knewwhy He said this to him.29You see, it seemed to some, sinceJudas had the money box, that Jesussays to him, “Buy what things we havea need of for the festival” or that heshould give something to the poor.30So after that man took the fragment,he went out right away. It was night.31So when he went out, Jesus says,“Now the Son of the Person was mademagnificent, and God was made mag-nificent in Him.32If God was made magnificent inHim, God will also make Him magnifi-cent in Himself, and right away He willmake Him magnificent.33Little children, for yet a little while Iam with you. You will look for Me, andjust as I said to the Jewish people(‘Where I am going back to, you are notable to come’), I also tell you now.34I am giving you a new demand sothat you may love each other just as Iloved you, that you also may love eachother.35In this, all will know that you are stu-dents to Me, if you have love among

each other.”36Simon Peter says to Him, “Master, where are you going back to?” Jesus an-swered him, “Where I am going backto, you are not able to follow with Menow. You will follow with Me later.”37Peter says to Him, “Master, why amI not able to follow with You now? Iwill put my soul out there on Your be-half.”38Jesus answered him, “Will you putyour soul out there on My behalf?Amen, amen, I tell you, a rooster willnot in any way crow until the time thatyou will flatly deny Me three times.”

14 “Your heart must not be un-easy. You trust in God. Also

trust in Me.2In the house of My Father are manyplaces to stay, but if not, I would tellyou. I am traveling to get a place readyfor you.3And if I travel and get a place readyfor you, I am coming again, and I willreceive you in to Myself, so that whereI am, you also may be.4And where I am going back to, youknow, and the way you know.”5Thomas says to Him, “Master, wedon’t know where You are going backto. How are we even able to know theway?”6Jesus says to him, “I am the Way, theTruth, and the Life. No one goes to theFather if it is not through Me.7If you had known Me, you alsowould have known My Father. Andfrom now on, you know Him and haveseen Him.”8Philip says to Him, “Master, show usthe Father, and it is enough.”9Jesus says to him, “Am I with you forso much time, and you have not knownMe, Philip? The person who has seenMe has seen the Father. How are yousaying, ‘Show us the Father’?10Don’t you trust that I am in the Fa-ther, and the Father is in Me? You knowHim because He stays beside you andwill be in you.18I will not leave you orphans. I amcoming to you.19Yet a little while and the world nolonger sees Me, but you see Me becauseI am living and you will live.20In that day you will know that I amin My Father, you in Me, and I in you.21The person having My demands andkeeping them, that person is the one lov-ing Me. The one loving Me will be lovedby My Father, I will love him, and I willmake Myself apparent to him.”22Judas (not the Iscariot) says to Him,“Master, what has happened that to usyou are going to be making Yourself ap-parent and definitely not to the world?”23Jesus answered and said to him, “Ifanyone loves Me, he will keep My mes-sage, My Father will love him, We willcome to him, and We will make a placeto stay beside him.24The person not loving Me, doesn’tkeep My messages. And the messagethat you hear isn’t Mine, but the Fa-

Mypeace I am giving to you (unlike howthe world gives, I am giving to you).Your heart must not be uneasy, neithermust it be cowardly.28You heard that I said to you, ‘I amgoing back and coming to you.’ If youwere loving Me, you would be happythat I said, ‘I am traveling to the Father,’because My Father is greater than Me.29And now I have stated it to you be-fore it is to happen so that when it hap-pens you might trust.30I no longer will speak much withyou. You see, the head of this world iscoming, and he has nothing in Me.31But it will happen so that the worldmight know that I love the Father, andjust as the Father demanded Me, so Iam doing. Get up. If I travel away, Iwill send Him to you.8And when that Encourager comes, Hewill reprimand the world concerningsin, concerning the right way, and con-cerning judgment9(certainly concerning sin because theydon’t trust in Me,10but concerning the right way becauseI am going back to My Father and youno longer see Me,11but concerning judgment becausethe head of this world has beenjudged).12I still have many things to be sayingto you, but you are not able to be haul-ing them now.13When that Encourager comes, theSpirit of the Truth, He will guide youinto all the truth. You see, He won’tspeak out from Himself, but howevermany things that He might hear He willspeak, and He will announce to you thethings coming.14That Encourager will make Me mag-nificent because He will receive fromMy Person and announce it to you.15All things, as many as the Father has,are Mine. Because of this, I said that Hewill receive from My Person and an-nounce it to you.16A little while and you do not see Me,and again, a little while and you willlook at Me because I am going back tothe Father.”17So some from among His studentssaid to each other, “What is this that Heis saying to us, ‘A little while and you donot see Me, and again a little while andyou will look at Me,’ and ‘Because I amgoing back to the Father’?”18So they were saying, “What is thisthat He is saying, the ‘little while’? They were Yours, You havegiven them to Me, and they have keptYour message.7Now they have known that all things,as many as You have given to Me, theyare from the side of You8because the statements that You havegiven to Me I have given to them andthey received them, they truly knewthat I came out from the side of You,and they trusted that You sent Me outon a mission.9I ask concerning them. students to the other side of the stormditch of the Kidron where there was agarden into which He and His studentswent.2Judas (the one turning Him in) alsoknew the place because Jesus gatheredthere many times with His students.3So after Judas takes the regiment androwers from the head priests and Sepa-ratists, he comes there with lanterns, torches, and weapons.4So Jesus, who knew all the things com-ing on Him, when He went out, said tothem, “Who are you looking for?”5They answered Him, “Jesus, theNazarene.” Jesus says to them, “I amHim.” Judas (the one turning Him in)had also stood with them.6So as He said to them, “I am Him,”they went off into the things left behindand fell on the ground.7So again He asked them, “Who areyou looking for?” The people said,“Jesus, the Nazarene.”

So if you are looking for Me, leavethese people to be going back home.”9He said this so that the message thatHe said might be accomplished, ‘I ru-ined no one from them whom You havegiven Me.’10So Simon Peter, having a knife, tugged on it, struck the slave of thehead priest, and chopped off his earlobe, the right one. The name belongingto the slave was Malchus.11So Jesus said to Peter, “Put yourknife into the sheath. The cup that theFather has given Me, should I not inany way drink it?”12So the regiment, the commanding of-ficer, and the rowers of the Jewish lead-ers apprehended Jesus and tied Himup.13And they led Him off to Annas first. You see, he was the father-in-law of Ca-iaphas who was that year’s head priest.14Caiaphas was the one who togetherwith others advised to the Jewish peoplethat it is advantageous for one personto be ruined on behalf of the ethnicgroup.15Simon Peter and another studentwere following Jesus. That student wasknown to the head priest, and he wentinto the courtyard of the head priest to-gether with Jesus.16Peter had stood outside toward thedoor. So the student (the other one whowas known by the head priest) wentout, talked to the doorkeeper, and ledPeter in.17So the servant girl (the doorkeeper)says to Peter, “You aren’t also from thestudents of this Person, are you?” ThatPeter says, “I am not.”18The slaves and the rowers had beenstanding there, who had made a pile ofhot coals because it was cold, and theywere warming themselves. Peter waswith them, having stood there andwarming himself.19So the head priest asked Jesus aboutHis students and about His teaching.

20Jesus answered him, “I spoke openlyto the world. I always taught in the syn-agogue and on the temple groundswhere the Jewish people always come to-gether, and in a hidden way I spokenothing.21Why are you asking Me? Ask the peo-ple who have heard what I spoke tothem. Look, these people know what Isaid.”22When He said these things, one of therowers who had stood nearby gaveJesus a slap, after saying, “Are you an-swering the head priest like this?”23Jesus answered him, “If I spoke in abad way, tell what you witnessedabout the bad thing. If I spoke nicely, why do you beat Me?”24So Annas sent Him out, who hadbeen tied up, to Caiaphas, the headpriest.25Simon Peter had been standing andwarming himself. So they said to him,“You aren’t also from His students, areyou?” That Peter denied and said, “I amnot.”26One from among the slaves of thehead priest (who is a relative of the manwhose ear lobe Peter chopped off) says,“Didn’t I see you in the garden withHim?”27So again Peter denied, and rightaway a rooster crowed.28So they lead Jesus out from Caiaphasinto the Roman fort. It was morning, and they didn’t go into the Roman fortso that they might not be desecrated, but so that they might eat the Passover.29So Pilate came out to them and said,“What criminal complaint are youbringing against this person?”30They answered and said to him, “Ifthis man wasn’t a person who does badthings, we wouldn’t have turned Himover to you.”31So Pilate said to them, “You musttake Him and judge Him according toyour law.” So the Jewish leaders said tohim, “It is not permitted for us to killanyone.”

32(This happened so that the message ofJesus might be accomplished that Hesaid indicating what kind of death Hewas going to be dying.)33So Pilate went into the Roman fortagain, hollered for Jesus, and said toHim, “Are You the king of the Jewishpeople?”34Jesus answered him, “Are you sayingthis out from yourself, or did others tellyou about Me?”35Pilate answered, “I’m not Jewish, amI? The nation, Your nation, and the headpriests turned You over to me. Whatdid You do?”36Jesus answered, “The empire, My em-pire, isn’t from this world. If the empire,My empire, was from this world, therowers, My rowers, would be strugglingso that I wouldn’t be turned over to theJewish people. But now, the empire, Myempire, isn’t from here.”37So Pilate said to Him, “So aren’t Youa king?” Jesus answered, “You are say-ing that I am a king. I have been bornfor this, and for this I have come intothe world, so that I might tell what Iwitnessed of the truth. Everyone whois from the truth hears My voice.”38Pilate says to Him, “What is truth?”And after saying this, again he wentout to the Jewish leaders and says tothem, “I don’t find even one accusationin Him.39But it is a policy with you that Ishould dismiss one person to you dur-ing the Passover. So do you intend thatI should dismiss the King of the Jewishpeople to you?”40So all of them made a yell again, say-ing, “Not this Man, but Barabbas.”Barabbas was a bandit.

19 So at that time Pilate took Jesusand whipped Him.

2And the soldiers who wove an awardwreath from thorns placed it on Hishead and put a purple robe aroundHim.3And they were saying, “Welcome, the

King of the Jewish people,” and theywere giving Him slaps.4So Pilate came outside again and saysto them, “Look, I lead Him outside toyou so that you might know that inHim I don’t find even one accusation.”5So Jesus came outside wearing thethorny award wreath and the purplerobe. And he says to them, “Look, thePerson.”6So when the head priests and the row-ers saw Him, they made a yell, saying,“Nail Him to a cross. Nail Him to across.” Pilate says to them, “You musttake Him and nail Him to a cross. Yousee, I don’t find in Him an accusation.”7The Jewish people responded to him,“We have a law, and according to ourlaw He ought to die because He madeHimself a son of God.”8So when Pilate heard this saying, hewas more afraid.9And he went into the Roman fortagain. And he says to Jesus, “Where areYou from?” But Jesus did not give hima response.10So Pilate says to Him, “Are You notspeaking to me? Don’t You realize thatI have authority to nail You to a crossand I have authority to dismiss You?”11Jesus answered, “You don’t haveeven one bit of authority against Me un-less it has been given to you fromabove. Because of this, the one whoturned Me over to you has a biggersin.”12From this time on, Pilate was lookingto dismiss Him, but the Jewish peoplewere yelling, saying, “If you dismissthis Man, you are not a friend of Caesar.Everyone making himself a king is ex-pressing opposition to Caesar.”13So when Pilate heard this saying, heled Jesus outside and was seated on thejudicial bench in a place called “StoneMosaic” (“Gabbatha” in Hebrew).14It was a preparation day of thePassover, but an hour as if it were thesixth (noon). And he says to the Jewishpeople, “Look, your King.”

15But the people made a yell, “Take Himaway. Take Him away. Nail Him to across.” Pilate said to them, “Will I nailyour King to a cross?” The head priestsanswered, “We do not have a king ex-cept Caesar.”16So at that time, he turned Him overto them so that He might be nailed to across. They took Jesus along and ledHim away.17And hauling His cross, He went outto the place called Place of a Skull, thatin Hebrew is called Golgotha,18where they nailed Him to a crossand two others with Him, on this sideand on this side, but Jesus in the mid-dle.19Pilate also wrote a caption andplaced it on the cross. It had been writ-ten, “Jesus, the Nazarene, the King ofthe Jewish people.”20So this caption many of the Jewishpeople read because the place was nearthe city where Jesus was nailed to across and it had been written in He-brew, in Latin, in Greek.21So the head priests of the Jewish peo-ple were saying to Pilate, “Don’t write,‘The King of the Jewish people,’ but‘That Man said I am a king of the Jewishpeople’.”22Pilate answered, “What I have writ-ten, I have written.”23So the soldiers, when they nailedJesus to a cross, took His clothes andmade four parts, a part for each soldier, and the long undershirt. But the longunsewed undershirt was woven fromthe top through all of it.24So they said to each other, “Weshould not split it up, but we shouldthrow dice concerning it, whose it willbe.” This happened so that the Old Testa-ment writing in Psalm 22:18 might be ac-complished that says, “Theythoroughly divided my clothes forthemselves and threw dice on my cloth-ing.” So the soldiers certainly did thesethings.25His mother, the sister of His mother,

Mary (the wife of Clopas), and Mary(the Magdalene) had stood beside thecross of Jesus.26So when Jesus saw His mother andthe student whom He kept loving stand-ing nearby, He says to His mother,“Ma’am, look, your son.”27After that He says to the student,“Look, your mother.” And from thathour, the student took her to his ownplaces.28After this, Jesus realizing that Hehad already finished everything, sothat the Old Testament writing in Psalm69:21 might be completed, He says, “Iam thirsty.”29So a container was lying there full ofsour wine. After they filled a spongewith sour wine and put it around a hys-sop stick, they offered it to His mouth.30So when Jesus took the sour wine,He said, “It has been finished.” Andwhen He tilted His head, He gave upthe spirit.31So the Jewish people, since it was apreparation day, so that the bodieswouldn’t stay on the cross during theSabbath (you see, the day of that Sab-bath was huge), they asked Pilate thattheir legs would be broken and theywould be taken away32So the soldiers went and certainlybroke the legs of the first man and of theother man, the man who was nailed to across together with Him.33But when they came up to Jesus, asthey saw that He had already died, they didn’t break His legs.34But one of the soldiers stabbed Hisside with a spear, and right away bloodand water came out.35And the person who has seen it hastold what he witnessed, and his wit-ness account is true. And that person re-alizes that he is saying truthful things,so that you might trust.36You see, these things happened sothat the Old Testament writing in Exodus12:46, Numbers 9:12, and Psalm 34:20might be accomplished. “A bone of His

will not be crushed.”37And again a different Old Testamentwriting says in Zechariah 12:10, “Theywill look to whom they pierced.”38After these things, Joseph (the one outof Arimathaea, who was a student ofJesus, but had been hid because of hisfear of the Jewish people) asked Pilatethat he might take the body of Jesus, and Pilate gave permission. So he wentand took the body of Jesus.39Nicodemus (the one who came toJesus at night the first time) also came, bringing a mixture of myrrh (expensiveperfume) and aloe, as if it were a hun-dred pounds.40So they took the body of Jesus andtied it up in linen strips with the fra-grant spices, just as the custom is for theJewish people to be preparing a corpsefor burial.41In the place where He was nailed toa cross, there was a garden, and in thegarden a new burial vault in which noone was placed yet.42So they put Jesus there because ofthe preparation day of the Jewish people, because the burial vault was near.

20 On the Day 1 after the Sab-baths, Mary (the Magdalene)

comes to the burial vault in the morn-ing, it still being dark, and sees thestone that has been taken away fromthe burial vault.2So she runs and comes to Simon Peterand to the other student whom Jesuskept being fond of. And she says tothem, “They took the Master from theburial vault, and we don’t know wherethey put Him.”3So Peter and the other student wentout and were going to the burial vault.4The two were running at the sametime. And the other student ran aheadfaster than Peter and came first to theburial vault.5And when he stooped and peered in,he sees the linen strips lying there; how-ever, he did not go in.

6So Simon Peter comes following him.And he went into the burial vault andsees the linen strips lying there7and the towel that was on His head, not lying with the linen strips, but sep-arate from them, having been woundup into one place.8So at that time, the other student, theone who came first, also went into theburial vault, looked, and trusted.9You see, they didn’t yet realize the OldTestament writing that says it is neces-sary for Him to come back to life fromthe dead.10So the students went off again totheir own places.11But Mary had stood close to the bur-ial vault crying outside. So as she wascrying, she stooped and peered into theburial vault,12and she sees two angels in whiteseated, one near the head and one nearthe feet, where the body of Jesus waslying.13And those angels say to her, “Ma’am,why are you crying?” She says to them,“Because they took my Master awayand I don’t know where they put Him.”14And after she said these things, sheturned to the things left behind, seesJesus who has stood there, and didn’t re-alize that it is Jesus.15Jesus says to her, “Ma’am, why areyou crying? Who are you looking for?”That Mary thinking that He is the gar-dener says to Him, “Master, if youhauled Him off, tell me where you putHim, and I will take Him away.”16Jesus says to her, “Mary.” When thatMary turned, she says to Him, “Rab-boni” (Great Rabbi), that is said in placeof Teacher.17Jesus says to her, “Don’t touch Me.You see, I have not yet stepped up toMy Father. Travel off to My brothers, and tell them I am stepping up to MyFather, your Father, My God, and yourGod.”18Mary (the Magdalene) comes, report-ing to the students that she had seen

the Master and He said these things toher.19So being evening on that day, theDay 1 after the Sabbaths, and the doorshaving been closed where the studentswere gathered together because of thefear of the Jewish people, Jesus went, stood in the middle, and says to them,“Peace to you.”20And when He said this, He showedthem His hands and His side. So thestudents were happy when they sawthe Master.21So Jesus said to them again, “Peaceto you. Just as the Father has sent Meout on a mission, I am also sending you.”22And when He said this, He puffedon them and says to them, “Receive theSacred Spirit.23If you forgive the sins of any, theyare forgiven to them. If you hold on tothe sins of any, they have been held onto.”24But Thomas, one from among theTwelve, the one being called Twin, wasnot with them when Jesus came.25So the other students were saying tohim, “We have seen the Master.” ButThomas said to them, “Unless I see theimpression of the spikes in His hands, put my finger into the impression ofthe spikes, and put my hand into Hisside, I won’t in any way trust.”26And after eight days, again His stu-dents were inside, and Thomas waswith them. Jesus comes, the doors hav-ing been closed, stood in the middle, and said, “Peace to you.”27After that He says to Thomas, “Bringyour finger here, and see My hands. And bring your hand and put it intoMy side. And don’t become untrusting, but become trusting.”28And Thomas answered and said toHim, “My Master and My God.”29Jesus says to Him, “Because youhave seen Me, Thomas, you havetrusted. The people who do not see andyet trust are blessed.”30So Jesus also certainly did many

other indicators in the sight of His stu-dents, that have not been written in thisscroll.31These things have been written sothat you might trust that Jesus is theAnointed King, the Son of God, and sothat as you trust, you may have life inHis name.

21 After these things, Jesusshowed Himself again to the

students on the Sea of Tiberias. Heshowed Himself like this.2They were at the same place: SimonPeter, Thomas (the one called Twin),Nathanael (the one out of Cana,Galilee), the sons of Zebedee, and twoothers from His students.3Simon Peter says to them, “I am goingback to be fishing.” They say to him,“We are also going together with you.”They went out, climbed up into theboat right away, and in that night cap-tured nothing.4After it already became morning,Jesus stood on the beach; however, thestudents did not realize that it is Jesus.5So Jesus says to them, “Young chil-dren, you don’t have anything to eatwith bread, do you?” They answeredHim, “No.”6Jesus said to them, “Throw the netinto the parts on the right of the boat, and you will find them.” So they threwit, and they weren’t having the strengthanymore to tug it out of the large num-ber of the fish.7So that student whom Jesus kept lov-ing says to Peter, “It is the Master.” Sowhen Simon Peter heard that it is theMaster, he tied the wrap across himself(you see, he was naked), and threwhimself into the sea.8The other students came in the smallboat (you see, they weren’t a long wayaway from the land, but as if it were twohundred cubits [300 feet] away) drag-ging the net of the fish. 9So as they stepped out onto the land, they see a pile of hot coals laid out,

tilapia lying on it, and bread.10Jesus says to them, “Bring out thetilapia that you now captured.”11Simon Peter climbed up and tuggedthe net onto the land full of huge fish, one hundred fifty-three. Even thoughthere were so many, the net did notsplit.12Jesus says to them, “Come on. Havebreakfast.” None of the students weredaring to question Him, “Who areYou?” realizing that it is the Master.13So Jesus comes, takes the bread, andgives it to them (and the tilapia like-wise).14This is already the third time Jesuswas shown to His students after He gotup from the dead.15So when they had breakfast, Jesussays to Simon Peter, “Simon, son ofJonah, do you love Me more thanthese?” He says to Him, “Yes, Master. You realize that I am fond of You.” Hesays to him, “Feed My lambs.”16He says to him again a second time,“Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?”He says to Him, “Yes, Master. You real-ize that I am fond of You.” He says tohim, “Shepherd My sheep.”17The third time He says to him,“Simon, son of Jonah, are you fond ofMe?” Peter was sad because He said tohim the third time, “Are you fond ofMe?” And he said to Him, “Master,You realize everything. You know thatI am fond of You.” Jesus says to him,“Feed My sheep.18Amen, amen, I tell you, when youwere younger, you were putting yourwaist sash on yourself and traipsingaround where you were wanting to.But when you age, you will put yourhands out, and another person will tieyour waist sash for you and carry youwhere you don’t want to go.”19He said this indicating what kind ofdeath he will make God magnificentwith. And after saying this, He says tohim, “Follow Me.”20When Peter turns around, he sees the

student whom Jesus kept loving follow-ing (who also settled down in the din-ner on His chest and said, “Master, who is the one turning You in?”).21When Peter sees this student, he saysto Jesus, “Master, what about this one?”22Jesus says to him, “If I want him tobe staying until I come, what is that toyou? You must follow Me.”23So this message went out to thebrothers that that student doesn’t die.Jesus didn’t even tell him that hedoesn’t die, but “if I want him to be

staying until I come, what is that toyou?”24This is the student, the one who istelling what he witnessed about thesethings and who wrote these things. Andwe realize that his witness account istruthful.25There are also many other things, asmany as Jesus did, some that if eachone is written, I suppose the world it-self to not have enough room for thewritten scrolls. Amen.

When Ray Geide was in the sixth grade, a friend told him,"I tried to read the Bible once, but there were too many theesand thous. I gave up." When he heard this, he wondered whysomeone had not updated the Bible and changed the thees andthous to “you” so that unchurched people like his friend couldread it.

At that time he didn’t know that for almost fifty years Godwould prepare him to do just that and much more.

Early in his life, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in The-ology and a Master of Divinity degree with highest honors inNew Testament Studies with an emphasis in New TestamentGreek.

For many years, he taught about the Bible and its words inmany churches. He pastored 5 churches.

In 1992 God called him to go to Russiaas a missionary. For nine years he livedamong the Russian people and becamefluent in their language. This increasedhis Greek abilities because the Russianlanguage is similar in structure and useto Greek.

While in Russia, he started a software de-velopment company, Super Win Software, Inc.,to support his family and ministry. He oftenspent days and weeks solving complex prob-lems with simple lines of code.

After returning to the United States, heworked as a translator for sixteen years in anonprofit organization and for two years ina business.

God brought all these factors andmany more together to build a high defi-nition Bible that everyone, evenunchurched people, can read.
