With a luxuriously redesigned interior and bold exterior enhancements, the New Touareg takes to the road with one goal — to redefine the sports utility vehicle once again. Available in a choice of 3.6 V6 FSI Elegance,

3.0 V6 TDI Luxury, 3.0 V6 TDI Escape or 4.2 V8 TDI Executive, this exhilarating SUV embodies versatility from the get-go. Add to that permanent 4Motion® all-wheel drive technology with superior off-road capabilities,

and the New Touareg truly is the ultimate expression of Das Auto.

From its wide, assertive stance to its sleek, tapering lines, the New Touareg comes to life with an iconic redesigned exterior. A perfectly poised

four-slat radiator grille unfolds into honed headlamp clusters boasting Bi-Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights. The reworked front

bumper showcases deeper creases and angular lower central and side intakes, while the revised lower bumper concludes with striking fog lights.

The rear exhibits sharpened character lines between the tail lights, balanced by a reshaped diffuser and new reflectors.

Versatility.As versatile as it is elegant, the New Touareg personifies intelligent design. The ingenious Easy Open boot, standard on the Executive, offers hands-free access to the generous cargo space by automatically detecting a

kick motion at the rear. 40/20/40 split rear seats with three-stage reclining positions and a 160mm adjustable range enables maximum flexibility, while a removable load bed offers additional storage variations.

Luxury. From the inside out.With an interior that is as exquisite as it is versatile, the New Touareg perfects

the fusion of functionality and form. Luxurious touches, including aluminium

rotary knobs, chrome accents and leather trim set the scene, while two-zone

Climatronic air conditioning, cruise control and a multifunctional leather steering

wheel ensure optimal comfort and control. Electric adjustable leather front seats

introduce an additional colour – Bonanza Brown – available with Vienna and

Nappa leather. Depending on which option you choose, the centre console offers

two new buttons for steering wheel heating and windscreen heating, with a 6.5

inch touchscreen display providing effortless access to Park Distance Control

(front and rear) and a six-disc CD changer with MP3/MP4 functionality.

The electric power closing/opening tailgate

release is standard on the Executive and can

be opened and closed via remote key.

The optional electric release tow bar has a

towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes and folds away

completely when not in use.

The optional Easy Open Package includes

KESSY keyless entry and an electric power

closing/opening tailgate with sensor control

for tailgate opening.

The Modular Rear-seating Concept features

40/20/40 asymmetrical split backrests that

enable the rear seats to be adjusted forwards

and backwards to a range of 160mm.

R-Line package.Inspired by the adventurous spirit within, the R-Line package captures

the essence of individuality. 20" Talladega alloy wheels support

an aggressive stance, while dramatic lines trace the front and rear

bumpers in true “R” style. Extended side sills with the expressive

rectangular, twin chrome-plated tailpipes conclude the rear. A

multifunctional leather steering wheel with R-Line logo and Tipshift

paddles and an aluminium painted centre console articulates the New

Touareg’s athletic nature, while “Silver Lane” inserts adorn the dash,

door panels and centre console.

conquer any obstacle. Steep slopes are no challenge with an impressive hill-climbing ability of up to 45°. In addition, the New Touareg boasts an approach/departure angle of 26°/26° on the standard model, and 33°/33°

with air suspension and Terrain Tech, plus an impressive fording depth of 500/580mm across the range.

Play it safe.From numerous active safety features designed to minimise the risk of a collision, to a series of passive safety systems employing the very latest in automotive technology, the New Touareg is designed to keep you and your

family safe. ISOFIX child seat anchorage offers peace of mind, while a new roadside assistance call button ensures that help is always just a call away. The Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) offers optimum handling in

challenging conditions with the Tyre-Pressure Monitoring System ensuring that your tyres run at peak performance. The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) reduces braking distances by up to 20 percent on loose surfaces, and in

the case of a collision, the Multi-collision Brake System automatically activates to help prevent subsequent crashes by employing the ESP to brake the vehicle and slow it down to a defined minimum speed within the driving

dynamic limits. Distinctive LED tail lights have a faster response time, allowing other road users to see the light-emitting diodes quicker, which can help reduce stopping distance.

Innovation.Area View technology uses four cameras to produce a high-quality 360° view around the vehicle, allowing the driver to see areas outside the vehicle that may otherwise be hidden from view.

The viewing perspective is selected on the Infotainment system. This optional feature includes Rear Assist.

Lane Assist is a driver assistance system that dynamically detects

lane markings and causes the steering wheel to vibrate to warn the

driver if the vehicle inadvertently leaves its lane.

The standard Park Distance Control gives an acoustic and

visual warning when the vehicle approaches an obstacle in

the front or rear during parking.

The optional Rear Assist provides visual assistance for reverse parking

with an ingenious overlay of display lines to indicate the ideal parallel

parking angle.

Side Assist utilises radar sensors to recognise when another vehicle

is in the driver’s blind spot or approaching rapidly from the rear.

Light displays, integrated into the exterior mirrors, flash to alert

the driver. Lane Assist and Side Assist work in harmony and are

available as an option across the range.

The Fatigue Detection system senses fading concentration

levels by intelligently measuring your pedal and steering wheel

use, in addition to transverse acceleration. This groundbreaking

feature is designed to keep you alert when you’ve been on the

road for a long time.

From as low as 30km/h the optional Adaptive Cruise Control

maintains the speed at your selected level and takes into account the

speed of the vehicle in front of you, contributing to relaxed and safe

driving, particularly on long journeys.
