Two students from Cobar High School (Ruby-Bell S and Katelyn M) joined other members of

the Moorambilla Choir to travel to Melbourne, where they performed in front of Hillary Clinton.

During the evening they also met with former Prime Minister Julia Gillard.

While in Melbourne the Choir also toured the ABC Studio then returned to Sydney where they

performed another concert in front of over 8,000 people. Next month they will travel to Sydney

where Moorambilla will record a CD of choral works which will be available later in the year.

Last week our Opens and Under 15s Rugby League

boys played in the School Boys Trophy

Gala Day. Our Under 15s team were undefeated

throughout their 4 games and were overall winners.

The Opens team finished 3rd. All students are to be

congratulated on their enthusiasm, determination and

high level of sportsmanship.

Last week selected students from Stage 5 represented the school at the Outback

Science Challenge. Cobar High School finished overall 2nd. Our bridge

building team won the Bridge Buster part of the Challenge, showing their de-

sign after great deliberation, was the best on the day. Students enjoyed the

challenges and were all very proud of their achievements.
