End of Term Arrangements What a big nine weeks we have enjoyed at Tootgarook this Term. Whilst the Term was a little shorter than normal, we still managed to cram in a lot of learning and extracurricular activities. Thank you again to everyone who supported our market so far this year. Don’t forget that Term 1 finishes on Friday 27th March with students being dismissed early from the hall at 2:30pm. There will be a short assembly in the hall beginning at approximately 2:00pm to finish off the term announce the Easter raffle winners and present our Students of the Term with their certificates. Term 2 resumes on Monday 13th April. ============================================================== Friday morning at 8.15am Family Life & Rye Lions Club will be holding a Parents & Friends FREE Breakfast. Every student who brings a parent or friend with them for breakfast will receive a free raffle ticket with a chance to win a $30 meat voucher kindly donated by Cliffex Meats. Tootgarook Community Market is on this Saturday 28 th March with 5Q and 4S rostered on - thankyou to the following parents who have offered to help: Janine + Andrew Wallace, Dianna Beagley, Darren Walker, Christine Young, Kerry Hazendonk, Christine Rae, Lisa Bateman, Belinda German, Adam Kelly, Maura Harbour, Michelle Bayley, Jacqui + Daniel Mason, Chris Holliss, Matt Davies. There will be NO market on April 25 th due to it falling on ANZAC Day – our next market will be May 23 rd with 2B rostered on. Thank you for your support. School Photo Day will be Wednesday 22 nd April 2015 2 nd week of Term 2 Envelopes will be sent home as Soon as they arrive.

  • Indonesian with Grades Prep Gr 3.

    This week in LOTE, students learned Indonesian words for size,

    from the book, "Am I small?" "Apakah aku kecil?"

    Microscopic, mikroskopis. Teeny-weeny, Sangat kecil. Small, kecil.

    Large, Sungat besar.

    Gigantic, Sebesar raksasa.

  • Students will be presented with their certificates at our last assembly tomorrow @ 2.00pm

    Prep B Mrs Bos Bethany Greenstreet for the fantastic way shes begun school. Congratulations on a great term!

    Prep R Mrs Read Tayla Eldridge you always try your hardest and use your manners at all times. Congratulations on a fabulous first term in grade Prep.

    1H Miss Grayson Makenzie Cooke you follow the RICH School Values at all times. You are a fantastic listener and take pride in all that you do. You should be very proud of your efforts this term! Well Done.

    1P Miss Perkins Angela Krtalic for being so enthusiastic with your learning all Term. You take pride in your work and show Integrity all the time! Your reflection about the past was fantastic and you are a great class member.

    2B Mrs Baird Amelia Reeve demonstrates INTEGRITY by listening to advice, practising her learning and persisting in order to up-level her skills.

    2J - Mrs Johnstone Tahlia Oliver for always being cheerful, trying her best and displaying the RICH values. Congratulations Tahlia!

    3A Miss Arnold - Ella Giarrusso - for always being an active in learning and working extremely hard to complete tasks. Your work is neatly presented and you always bring your homework every week. Ella you are also friendly and willing to help your fellow peers. Great work in term one!

    3W Ms Walton - Summer Dixon as voted by her peers. Summer has a very caring nature and is always helpful and kind to her classmates. She has a go at all opportunities offered and has shown initiative on many occasions. Jackson Vis as voted by his peers. Jackson follows our schools RICH values at all times. He has an enthusiastic attitude to all aspects of his learning. He is a very kind friend and makes sure his classmates have someone to play with.

    4S Miss Staley Niall Harbour - Niall (as voted by his peers) has had an outstanding term! He has contributed in all school activities and has proven that he is a great role model. Niall has always used his manners, is determined to learn, is constantly trying to achieve his best and cares for his peers. You should be extremely proud of yourself. Well done!

    5Q Miss Quintin As voted by her peers for being so helpful in our classroom. Sarah Wallace is a reliable friend who follows the RICH school values everyday. She is a friendly and caring student who is pleasure to teach and an asset to 5Q . Well done Sarah.

    6W Miss Withers Cohen Baigent Hughes - For always being friendly to others and treating all his friends and teachers at TPS with respect. Cohen showed that he is proud to belong to Tootgarook Primary School representing us with his best behavior on Urban Camp. Cohen tried his best at all of the activities and accomplished many things. Cohen never gives up and his happy demeanor has positive influences on his peers. Well done Cohen, its a pleasure to have you in the classroom.

  • This week the Preps have been Celebrating Easter so our Literacy and

    Numeracy activities have had an Easter theme. Making an Easter egg Bunny

    headband was a fun way to learn and revise the numbers to 10.

    Today we had many rotating Easter craft and puzzle activities concluding in

    the afternoon with a Buddy session where the grade 5s helped their Prep

    buddy make an Easter Basket.

  • NUDE FOOD Next term we would like to reintroduce Nude Food. The Junior School Council members of each class will record the amount of students that bring nude food each day. The grade six JSC representatives, Skye and Joel, will tally up the scores from each class and present the results at assembly. We have a popcorn machine for the winning class that will be used to make popcorn within that week.
