August 23, 2011 VAC is holding the 3rd annual T-shirt Exchange Extravaganza Wednesday August 24th starting at 11:00 AM at the Union Mall ! VAC collects gen- tly worn or new shirts donated by UA organizations and departments. We will sell these for only $1! If you don’t have your razorback tees yet, come and buy them before they run out! All the money raised will go towards the 9/11 Me- morial that will be held on campus. Help support the memorial and stock up your closet with official UA t-shirts! Hog Tees 20 11! CCE Job Opportunity The Center for Community Engagement is looking for a Student Support Specialist. They will assists the Center for C ommunity Engagement by providing excellent customer service through telephone and in-pers on interactions with students, staff, student organizations and the campus community. This position is also r e- sponsible for completing tasks and office procedures that relate to the Volunteer Action Center (VAC). There are 3 positions available. Training for this position will occur once appointed to the position. Only students who have been awarded work study should apply. Polo in the Ozarks

Polo in the Ozarks is an annual event scheduled forSeptember 10th 2011 in Goshen, AR . With almost2,000 attendees every year, Northwest Arkansas’ long-est running charitable event, Polo in the Ozarks hasbeen a highly anticipated event in this region for 22years. Featuring the area’s only polo match, this fun,family event also includes tailgate parties, dinner and

dancing under the stars, children’s activities, and bothlive and silent auctions.

Life Styles is needing volunteers to help clean up after the event, Sunday, Sept.11th from 8am-12pm.

Looking for 3 hours of course credit for the fall semester? Have you ever consideredmentoring?

The Peer Safety Project (directed by Dr. Timothy Cavell), is currently recruiting un-dergraduate mentors for the Fall 2011 semester. Mentors eat lunch with an elemen-tary school student twice each week. In return, mentors receive 3 hours of coursecredit and many great experiences.

Mentors are required to: undergo background checks, have reliable transportation toand from the elementary school, and should have lunch availability for at least 90minutes twice a week (which can be anytime between 10:00 am & 1:00 pm.)

Camp Compassion 2011: Fort Smith

Camp Compassion is an annual one day camp for childrenand teens, ages 6-15, that have experienced the death of asibling, parent, grandparent, or other close relative in thepast 1 to 2 years.

Camp Compassion offers a safe environment for children togain perspective on grief and loss, assisted by trained be-reavement professionals. The camp provides children a safeplace to share experiences, express their grief, and be withothers in similar situations.
