We had our 4th annual awards ceremony at the Canterbury Cricket ground in September. Lots of you got awards and medals to say well done for working hard, and then had fun being sumo wrestlers and making your own Frisbees. Many of you also had a go at the climbing wall and archery. After lunch the birds of prey put on a show and whizzed past everybody’s heads, a few of you brave enough to hold the hawks! The apprentices had a stall too, with bubbles, space hoppers, stick on tattoos and a huge lucky dip!
You all looked like you loved the day just as much as we did!
Well done to everybody who was given an award, you all
deserved it!
KCC Bosses joined in the archery fun!
Philip Segurola, Andrew Ireland, Peter Oakford
and Tony Doran

Bella’s First weeks with VSK First day with VSK
My fist day went really well, I didn’t need
to be scared after all. I met Hayley &
Sophia who helped me through the day &
showed me around. They gave me a hand
in what I was doing and then introduced
me to everyone else, everyone is so
friendly. This is my dream job!
First participation day
I went KAYAKING! I loved it, I had
done it before so I knew I didn’t need
to worry. I felt like a big kid, splashing
around with my paddle getting so wet!
Everybody had happy faces and it was
probably one of my best days so far, I
can’t wait for my next adventure.
Maybe I’ll see more new faces.
Office days
I like days in the Office, it’s nice to feel grown
up and positive. . Everybody helps me if I
need it and the time fly's by. Every day I come
in there is usually lots of treats to have during
the day—I’m going to turn into a
digestive biscuit soon!
First activities arranged by me
I’m finally running my first activity days in
the October holidays. I hope it all goes
well and that everyone enjoys it, I thought
is would be kind of scary but not scary for
you all to come to. I’m really proud of
myself too as I’ve been here a month or
so now, its been brilliant I’m really enjoy-
ing it and work has made me happier
and more confident!
Your Apprentice Participation Workers are available

questions!
If you would like us to come and help you please tell
your Social Worker or get in contact with us.
It is really important that you complete your section before
