Page 1 Chess There were 80 students participating in the chess at SWR PS on Thursday 7th June in the chess competition. Congratulations to Zarlie who placed 3rd in the Junior division. Small Schools Athletics Carnival A number of our athletes will be participating in the Small Schools Athletics Carnival next Thursday 28 June. Permission notes will go home this week for all attendees. Our school will run the canteen on the day. If you are interested in volunteering for this event or for other days in our school canteen, please advise our front office. Small Schools NAIDOC Celebration Our school will once again host the Small Schools NAIDOC celebration this year. We are very excited to be hosting this hugely significant event and will be sharing the celebration with eight other Macleay schools. Also joining us will be representatives from Council, Health, Kempsey Place Plan, FaCS and the AECG amongst others. I would also like to extend a warm invitation to our community to also join us on the day and especially for the formal opening ceremony that will commence from 9:45am. It has been a very busy couple of weeks at Kempsey South Public School. We had students interviewed by ABC radio and the Macleay Argus at the Robotics Challenge Day on 5 June, been involved in a Lower North Coast Cross Country, Kempsey South Athletics Carnival, participated in Chess tournament and seen Miss Simpson marry Mr Walsh. Busy!
