Thank you to everyone for your assistance and co-operation as we navigate our way through the Covid-19 restrictions. Just a couple of reminders for everyone:

• We cannot have parents on site at the moment. This means that you cannot go to the canteen and order your child’s lunch for them. You can write the order out at home and have your child drop it into the canteen or alternately you can use the on-line ordering system.

• Our canteen volunteers are undergoing health screening before they come on site.

• Because of cleaning and hygiene issues we are unable to use the school bubblers. This means that all students need to bring a drink bottle. Drink bottles can be refilled from classroom taps during the day.

• The school has been allocated several additional cleaning hours per day so that high touch points can be cleaned while students are at school.

• While the health restrictions are in force we are unable to have shared birthday cakes or cup-cakes for classes. As an alternative the canteen is selling buckets of snap-stick iceblocks. Cost is 30 cents per child, so a class of 25 students would cost $7.50. The actual cost will vary depending on the number of students in the class on the day.

Winter has certainly hit us and a large number of our students are coming to school without warm clothing. At the moment we have a very limited supply of second hand clothing available to loan to students. This will mean that we will need to telephone you and ask you to bring warm clothing for your child if they report to the office and say that they are cold. If you have jumpers, jackets and track pants at home that have been loaned to your child please wash them and return them so that other children can use them.

A reminder for all our drivers who drop off in Charles St. Many of you are dropping off your children then making a U-turn over the unbroken centre line and then forgetting to stop at the “stop” sign. This carries a penalty of $344 and 3 licence points.

Our teachers are currently working on Semester 1 reports. Because of the disruptions to learning this semester the reports will look a little different to previous reports. We are trying to get them ready to go out before the end of term.
