    Probably the best innovation that the NRL has introduced in the past decade

    has been the creation of the under 20s National Youth Competition (NYC) that

    now precedes NRL first grade games (Holden/Toyota)

    The NYC is where the NRL now draws the majority of its future stars from. The

    NYC is a great place to see the form of the young players that are going soonbe playing NRL. Every year, we find more and more young players stepping up

    to the NRL, with an average of about 70 players stepping up from the NYC to

    the NRL every season.

    With 2013 set to be no different, it helps to look at the players that are likely to

    graduate from the NYC to the NRL over the next 12 months. At the end of this

    article I go through the 2012 team in details and I think a lot of these guys and

    are ready for NRL and I think the amount of youngsters will only increase.

    Below I have provided the NYC Teams of the Year from 2008-2012. A whole

    host of the NRL current stars have come through the NYC. A lot of these guys

    are now the superstars of our game.
