Fashion Portfolio

My name is Olivia Moore and I am 16 years old. I have been interested in the fashion industry

as long as I can remember. I have been scouring magazines, hundreds of them, falling in love with

the new looks and the designers.

I began to collect specific pieces that I would admire in the magazines and even being very

young, I refused to wear the most common and mainstream logos and trends. I wanted to be a

trend setter. I became known for wearing stylish looks that had not even made it to the main stores

yet.

I began modeling for MIM a few years ago which lit a fire in me for this industry and everything

about it. I wanted to learn it all, modeling, photography, styling, makeup and hair. I took several

courses through the agency in hair and makeup, along with posing, runway and the fashion

industry. I also took photography courses through a company called Henry’s.

This led to my interest in styling and helping friends and people that I model with get the looks

they wanted in their photos. I began doing quite a bit of fashion photography and styling and build-

ing a portfolio. I applied for a Student Summer Company Grant with a business plan and was

successful! I spent the summer learning about business and Livvy Photography was born,

specializing in fashion photography and styling.

I have also been doing fashion blogs for years on makeup application, skin care, fashion and

modelling. I know this will be my future and I know Nordstrom would be an amazing place for me

to learn more about the industry, and perhaps some day be part of their team.

At 15 I discovered I was going to be a mother, long before I had planned. I began attending

Youville school, a school for young mothers, which has been a blessing in so many ways. I have

been back in school full time since my son was 6 weeks old and I have been managing to get good

grades. I attend school in the summer as well so that I will not be behind academically. I have

worked very hard and hope you will help me continue my journey to success in this field.

I hope you will find my portfolio creative and exciting and see that I would be the right fit as an

Ambassador for Nordstrom.

PRODUCT PROMOTION

I worked at promotional events at Murale where I would engage the public to

try products, offer information and provide samples. At The Bay, VIP event, I

was responsible for handing out gift bags to VIP’s full of products and samples. I

was expected to be professional, fashionable and knowledgeable.

At these fashion promotion events I was responsible for mingling with the public

and representing these boutiques by showcasing/modelling their fashions as well

as encouraging people to visit the store.
