Northfield Community Land Project Begins

Sunday 7 October, 10.30am, Lindsey Avenue, Northfield (off Bunbury Road)

We have secured our first plot of land on Lindsey Avenue, off the Bunbury Road and work will start at thebeginning of October to transform it in to a community garden. We are looking for local people to join us onthe 7th October to help us make it a success. Anyone involved will be able to have a share of the produceand be proud to say we’ve grown fresh, tasty and healthy produce with our own hands!

The first work day will involve clearing the land, deciding on what we would like to grow together and planninghow we will use the space to do this. We might also begin planting too.

Just turn up. Come with ideas, suitable clothing (no open-toed shoes, long sleeves (there are brambles!) anda waterproof just in case. Plus a bottle of water and a snack to keep you going. Children are welcome butshould have parental supervision particularly as the land does need clearing.
