Just the sight of a bubble answer sheet sends shivers through most of us. To avoid the shivers, use the tips being provided to ensure that you are as prepared as possible for the test.
"Right There" QuestionsLiteral: Example: "Who gave John the dog?" The answer is stated right in the passage. To find it, recall information from or refer back to one place in the passage.
"Think and Search" QuestionsInference: Example: "What was the same about every dog in the story?" Use memory or looking back at the passage. The answer is usually in more than one place. Information needs assembled for the answer.
"Author and You" QuestionsEvaluative : Example: "How did John probably feel when he found the dog?"These questions cannot be answeredjust by reading the passage. Use what is already known, plus what is learned from the passage, to answer the question.
