    Plenary Chamber (First Chamber)

    The Plenary is the ultimate decision-making body of the National Assembly. The Chamber, which is referred to as the digital chamber, is equipped with a touch screen terminal for each Member and two large electronic boards for displaying the result of electronic voting.

    Chamber of the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts (Second Chamber)

    The Special Committee on Budget and Accounts, which examines the state’s budget bill and the settlement of accounts, is a standing special committee working throughout the year.

    Dome

    The round shape of the dome represents the essence of parliamentary democracy, which brings together various views of the people and puts them to debate with the objective of reaching consensus.

    National Assembly History Hall

    Visitors can check out materials and videos on the major activities of previous convocations and learn about the history of the Constitution, electoral systems and political parties.

    National Assembly Speakers Hall

    The hall provides information on the former Speakers’ parliamentary activities and profiles and displays their personal articles, starting from the Speaker of the Constituent Assembly. Gifts received through their parliamentary diplomacy activities are on display. Visitors can take a commemorative photo with the Speaker of the National Assembly.

    Hall of the People of the National Assembly

    Visitors can learn about various support organizations of the National Assembly and the functions thereof, and find out what type of work would suit them best.

    Legislative Experience Hall

    Visitors can experience the law-making process in person at the hall. (Seating capacity: 45, reservation required for a group of 20 persons or more)

    Stenographers’ Seat

    Two stenographers take turns every 10 minutes to record the proceedings of the Plenary.

    Exhibition Gallery (4th floor)

    The Exhibition Gallery on the 4th floor provides a wealth of information ranging from the establishment of the National Assembly to its activities in various sectors, including economy, culture and diplomacy.

    Parliamentary Democracy Hall

    This hall introduces the establishment of parliamentary democracy and the functions and roles of the National Assembly that embodies the spirit of the Constitution, and offers a glimpse of parliamentary activities to visitors.

    Auditorium

    The auditorium serves as a venue for cultural events and seminars. (seating capacity: 300)

    National Assembly Records IBronze bas-relief face sculpture of the National Assembly Members with the highest election records (nine term Members: Hon. Kim Young-sam, Hon. Park Jyun-kyu, and Hon. Kim Jong-pil) and related materials, and records of family National Assembly Members, who were father and son, husband and wife or brothers, are exhibited to offer greater understanding on parliamentary politics.

    Children’s Education Hall

    The hall offers easy, fun, and hands-on legislative experiences designed to educate children on parliamentary politics, which constitutes the basis of democracy education. (Elementary school 3rd graders or younger)

    National Assembly Archives

    This exhibition is a collection of various records related to the Constitution owned by the National Assembly.

    National Assembly Hall

    Visitors can search for information on the authority, composition and operation of the National Assembly using touch screen monitors, and separate sections are available to provide information on parliaments around the world and the National Assembly of Korea.

    Speaker’s Office

    The Speaker’s Office is a place where the Speaker of the National Assembly performs his or her official duties and receives foreign dignitaries.

    Central Hall

    The Central Hall, which is situated right in the center of the National Assembly Building, serves as a venue for the major functions of the National Assembly, such as the Constitution Day Ceremony. It is also referred to as the Rotunda Hall. The yellow circle in the middle of the ceiling symbolizes the sun with the 24 out-reaching lines representing its rays.
