Directions for exporting the
Positive Behavior Support
Discipline Report from NCWISE
Request Access to NCWISE Reporting Hub
• If you are a school team member you will receive school level access.
• If you are a district PBIS coach/coordinator you can request LEA access.– If you export data for entire LEA you will need to
know school code numbers in order to separate the data by individual school.
EXPORTING THE DATA FROM NCWISE

2. Search for “Positive Behavior Support Discipline
Report”
1. Click Report Search
1. Find “Positive Behavior Support Discipline Report”
and check the box.
2. Click on “Add to My Preferred Reports.”
Click on “My Preferred Reports”
Check the box next to the PBIS Discipline Report.
In the future you will not
have to search for your report.
You can go directly to My
Preferred Reports.
Click on “Run Reports”
Click the + next to the School or LEA Level Queries folder.
Double click on the Positive Behavior Discipline Report.
Your data will show up here.
Select “Tab” as the Separator.
Check “Quotes.”
Check “Column Headers.”
Check “Blank=“null”
Click the Download Extract Button.
Select “Save”
Select the location where you will save the file. Type the name for the file.
Be sure to add the “.xls” or “.xlsx” extension. Click Save.
Open your excel data file.
PASTING THE EXPORT INTO THE ODR SPREADSHEET
Click on the first cell and hold the button. Scroll over to column N and down to
highlight all of your data.
Right click. Select copy.
If you have district access you will
need to select the data for each
school using their school code.
Open the ODR Spreadsheet.
Select the “Paste your data export” workbook tab.
Click on the mauve box.
Right click. Select Paste.
Your data will be pasted in the workbook.
Click on the “ODR Spreadsheet” workbook tab.
Your export data will be summarized in the light blue
columns.
There are 5 orange boxes with the total number of discipline referrals. Check to ensure the
total is the same for all 5 orange boxes.
You will need to enter information into all of the light yellow boxes.-school demographic
information-# of school days- Enrollment by race/ethnicity
Enrollment by race should
equal the total
enrollment.
All white boxes will automatically calculate the
percentage and totals for that item.
SUMMARY DATA CHARTS
All data summary charts are available by selecting the
particular workbook tab of the chart you would like to
review.
Click the right
arrows to view more
reports.

Reminders
• Be sure to save your export as an excel document.
• Export your data monthly to have the most accurate and up-to-date information available because data transitions occur throughout the year.
• Check your totals for accuracy.• Your data will only be meaningful if it is entered
accurately and completely.
SWIS Users
• All support documents are provided to do the same export process from SWIS.
• The export will address all fields except ethnicity/race. This data will have to be entered manually.
• You will likely only complete this process at the end of the year and use your SWIS reports to problem-solve at your monthly meetings.
