WANTS FOR THE HOLIDAYS ARE YOUR CARDS…

Meet Safyre ….. 8-year-old Safyre

only wants cards for Christmas. Two years ago, her father and 3 siblings were ki

lled in an arson attack. Safyre lost her family and her home that day.

This year, in an effort to make the holidays a little brighter for Safyre, her aunt has asked people around the world to mail holiday cards to her.

Let’s help make her wish come true… During Olweus time today, let’s make holiday cards

for Safyre. She will certainly be surprised when she receives A LOT of cards from MMS.

Here are some guidelines: Cards have to be mailed, so keep the size of the

cards in mind. Sign your card with your first name only. You may write a letter to Safyre, too, instead of

creating a holiday card.

Suggestions for what to write in your card… We will use the same guidelines for cards that are used for

children who are hospitalized. Keep the messages in your card positive and cheerful. Here are some examples:

“Happy Holidays”

“Merry Christmas” – she celebrates Christmas, so this is fine to write

“Stay Strong” 

“Never Forget How Amazing YOU Are”

“You are special”

“You are awesome”

“You inspire me”

“You rock”

Lastly, make your card bright and cheery – this will lift her spirits!
