Feature overview
• Package, archive and deploy web applications easily - Visual Studio is empowered to
package a web application content that is seamlessly deployed on the IIS server by web deploy.
Configuration values can be parameterized during deployment without requiring modifications to
the packages themselves. No administrative privileges are needed.
• Intuitive user interface helps get started - Step-by-step instructions to getting started with the
Manager Panel and Web Store installation help the Manager Panel administrator to complete
the various setups essential to operating his organization.
• Understand functioning with sample data - The installed Manager Panel application allows
the merchant to get an end-to-end experience of the Manager Panel and Web Store with sample
data. This sample data is replaced with real data once the merchant is ready to operate the
application.

The merchant needs to create a web site for the Manager Panel and can import the Manager Panel and Web Store packages in IIS using Microsoft Web Deploy 3.5 for installation. Web Deploy helps seamlessly and securely transfer the application package, and unpack it on the merchant web server. The merchant is then automatically taken to subsequent installation steps.

Once the package is successfully installed using the Web Deploy tool, the merchant is directed to launching the Manager Panel. A pre-requisite screen allows the merchant to verify if all pre-requisite software are in place for the smooth functioning of the Manager Panel. The Manager Panel installation would fail if any of the pre-requisites are not in place. The merchant signs up for the Manager Panel, which automatically generates the security database and organization database on the merchant’s database server.

Once the organization and security databases are securely installed, the merchant is directed to a step-by-step process that guides him to match his Manager Panel to his business. Various setups, essential for the proper functioning of the Manager Panel should be completed. The merchant can also create sample data and explore the Manager Panel before installing his real-time data. The sample data must be removed before installing actual data.

After setting up the Manager Panel the merchant is directed to the Web Store installations and setup that take care of the branding and theming of the Web Store channel, catalog, social media integrations, etc. The Web Store package is downloaded via the Manager Panel before running this installation process. Once the Web Store package is successfully downloaded, the merchant needs to create a website in the IIS for the Web Store. Using Web Deploy 3.5, the merchant would be able to import the Web Store application package and start the deployment wizard for the Web Store installation.
